Has anyone tried both the Gilderide Max v1 and v2? I am really enjoying v1 and am hoping that v2 can be its replacement after it is all worn out

V2 should only going to be an upper update. I would get the glideride max 1 on sale now before the new one releases

I really like the glideride max for recovery days and general easy days. But I did feel like they died around 300mi/480km. The ff blast max on the top layer (also used in the novablast 5) just doesn’t hold up and dies before the rest of the shoe does. I did recently buy a second pair though. But only because they’re on sale now that v2 is coming out around December 1st. It’s just an upper update though so there’s no need for me to upgrade

I love my Glideride Max. Just bought another pair. They’re on sale because v2 is releasing soon but from the pics I’ve seen it looks like just an upper update. I heard it’s supposed to be more like the SB2 upper

Glideride Max is my go-to easy run shoe. I alternate between that and the Vomero 18, but the GRM is so much more comfortable.

Asics Glideride Max. Great cushion with a very versatile geometry and a very stable platform. Went from Kayanos to these and never looked back.

I would personally go with something like this: Glideride Max: Recovery/Daily Superblast 2 or Megablast: Long Run/Daily Sonicblast: Speed You could throw a pair of Novablasts in there to rotate as daily's or a pair of Kayanos for easy/recovery runs. One thing to note about the Novablasts is they do best with a good amount of recovery time (>24hours) between uses. The FF Blast Max foam seems to lose its pop a lot quicker if you use it every day. I can feel it to a lesser degree in my Gliderides, which have a combo of Blast Max and Blast+.

Check out the Asics Glideride Max. Often overlooked, but a fantastic shoe for long and easy runs.

They got a plate inside to give them stability despite being a max cushion shoe, so it’s a pretty unique setup. V2 just got released, so the V1 is widely on sale.

The ASICS Glideride Max 1 works well as a long run shoe. It actually has some pep to it as well, so you could through in some long run workouts too. It is on sale now for under $150. The Saucony Endorphin Trainer is another option that is on sale . It has a top layer of Saucony’s race foam and it feels great for long distances; I feel like they help me push through those last miles

The Glideride max is my go to shoe for long runs and progressive runs. It’s a max cushioned shoe that I can pick up the pace a bit, if needed. The Nimbus is a good max cushioned shoe but it is heavy and hot.

I run in all of these except the Li Ning shoe (am waiting on the Feidian Challenger 5 as we speak) You can probably get a good deal on the Glideride Max and it’s a great option for long runs, to me.

Puma MagMax, Glycerin Max and Glideride max are some of the shoes I use for longer runs, recovery runs

The 1080 doesn’t have any energy give back so it makes it feel them feel heavier on tired legs. I use the New Balance Balos, the ASICS Glideride Max 1/2, the Brooks Glycerin Max 1 for some of my recovery runs and I’m close to your size.

I'm a Glideride Max convert after several years of Nimbus ownership. Once I started seriously training for races, I found the GRM better suited for that. Haven't really rotated my Nimbuses back in since then.

Asics Glideride Max (Max 2 is pretty much unchanged as well apparently). The rocker works very well and the cushioning is marvellous. It can do the faster tempo runs easily as well. Really great heel-striker shoe. Nimbus and Kayano of course if you just want to do normal plodding.

Got a pair of Glideride Max - excellent long slow run shoe. A hidden gem of asics line up.

r/AskRunningShoeGeeksNovablast 5 alternative for overpronators? (Same “Novablast feel” but more stable)

This is an underrated choice, but the GlideRide max is a great alternative, it’s more stable but uses the same foam, so you get that fun feeling without sacrificing on stability. Also try the brooks glycerin max, yes it’s heavier, but it’s so stable with the wide platform and the rubber grip is top tier.

r/AskRunningShoeGeeksCushion and rocker for a heavier runner, what’s your go to recommendation?

Asics glideride max has more of a rocker than the magmax but both are great shoes for big people
