That is okay. Our feet are different thus we respond differently to the midsole foams of these running shoes on the market. One reviewer said that the Metaspeed Sky+ feels harsh on his feet and I had the opposite experience. The reason? No one will ever know.

Definitely keen to see how the AP5 goes. I’d love the evo sl to be like the megablast as it’s perfect for a lot of work. I just got the metaspeed sky’s. They feel so much better than the AP4s. The cutout made them feel unstable for me and the heel just tore my Achilles up. Hopefully they fix that issue

Metaspeed sky is an amazing shoe. The sky and elite 2 are both super unstable shoes though so keep that in mind. I'd consider a more friendly racer like the Li Ning Feidian 6 Elite. Similar shoe to the alphafly as in it's a big, cushioned, bouncy racer that isn't too fast. Also pretty cheap, a little bit less than the options you've shown even at half price (which is an amazing deal especially for the sky) Rtings have a good review on the F6E, it's cool to see Chinese shoes get proper, scientific reviews as well. https://www.rtings.com/running-shoes/tools/compare/li-ning-feidian-6-elite-vs-nike-alphafly-3/136133/62826?threshold=0.12

fair enough but i dont need to break in a racing shoe to feel comfy, and i love racing. so for all the running i do, i think its worth to have a race day shoe that enhances the fun of racing for me

I am also a 31 male that is 5'9" and around 174lb. I love the Evo SL, but I had to get rid of my Boston 13s. My foot is a little wide and the B13s were way too narrow in a 10.5, while the Evo SL fit like a glove. I had about 60 miles in the B13s, but the shoe never worked for me. I just got a pair of Asics Metaspeed Sky in a size 10 for a HM at the end of May. I only have a 5k in them, but I am absolutely in love with them.

Thanks for the feedback OP! I love the megablast, never tried the SBs. I’ve heard Novablast is more of the slow easy efforts. You hit the nail on the head about MBs. Slow, easy, fast efforts all feel good. Super solid shoe! If you’re a fan of ASICS, try the meta speed sky for racing. Itssssaaaa nice
