My Brooks Ghost 3 lasted less than 2 months. My right toe is protruding through the thin, cheap material. Horrible rip off. Would not recommend to anyone.

Yes to this! I bought hokas and they hurt my feet badly and made me walk weird. Brooks Ghosts are great.

I thought the Brooks Ghost (not ghost 2) had a pretty wide toe box in compared to other shoes I’ve had.

I’m a big fan of Nimbus (I currently have the 26 though) and just retired my Glycerin 22 today for a pair of ASICS Megablast. I will say personally I was not a fan of the Glycerin. I’ve been running with Ghosts (my go to for faster 3-5 mile runs) for years and was told Glycerine was like the perfect hybrid of the Ghost Max and Nimbus (which has been my go to for more relaxed long distance runs). After running in the Glycerins my toes and knees always felt beat up. Idk if it’s the toe box but my left foot, middle toe kept chaffing to the point of blisters the last couple of weeks which I’ve never experienced before. All of that said, my personal preference is still Ghost for shorter runners and Nimbus for long runs. Nimbus is less responsive but super comfy for high mileage days.

Yes to this. Also they have extra wide sizes

For me its about having balanced cushioning. - too much = instability = shin splints - not enough = worse blisters - too narrow = foot pain That leaves me with brooks ghost and new balance 880 v14 Adidas, nike, puma all too narrow. Most overs not wide enough or too cushioned  Barefoot shoes are ok but I wouldn"t do long distance in them unless on grass

Ghost Max 2 is a little roomier compared to the normal Ghost line. I've not tried the Ghost Max 3, but yet to find better shoes. Especially for extra wide feet.
