GM3 has a much more forgiving toebox shape and more volume, and a more plush feel. The upper and lining are softer feeling. GM2 are ok for me, but feel firmer, and lower volume. I prefer the 3. I find the GM3 comfortable for all day walking and running. I tried the 2, but found by the end of the day they caused chafing; they're pretty rough feeling.

These stave off fatigue and are very comfortable. Sizing was a little tedious as I wore a 10.5 in the GM2 but sized down to a 9.5W in the 3. Heel slippage was a concern but using heel lock lacing fixed it.
As someone who has to have 2E, I bought NB5, Rebel v5, Brooks Ghost Max 3, and an extra pair of Saucony Tempus Enjoy all of them generally, surprised most by the Ghost. First Brooks in awhile. Love the kinda balanced foam, not overly plush, but still a lot of comfortable cushion Sucks Saucony stopped 2E on the Tempus line. Great shoe
I’ve found that the shoe + insole really makes the difference. Best shoe to go with insole imo is the brooks addiction walker, it helps with giving flat feet the ideal support. Brooks ghost max 3 if wanting something more breathable. I’ve tried many brands with insoles, and brooks is the best I’ve found so far. But I also have very flat feet.
Check out brooks ghost max 3
Another shoe that is very friendly to orthotics is the Brooks Ghost Max (now in version 3). It is a higher cushion shoe than the Adrenaline. The Ghost Max is not a stability shoe, though, but it has lots of good design elements that enhance stability - call it half a stability shoe. Maybe bring to your doctor with the orthotic and see what he thinks? One downside to low arches is that there is less natural shock absorption by the foot, so having good cushioning is helpful. Combining a stability shoe with an orthotic sounds like overkill, but we don't know your particular diagnosis. Doctor > internet person you've never met.
Not for me. They're nice for recovery shoes but I ended up choosing my Ghost Max 3 over them for the lower heel drop and less bouncy feel.
My GM3 is neither squishy or bouncy. Every step I takes just feels soft in every landing. If you like bouncy, the Vomero Plus is definitely it.
I’m 5’10” / 230lb and I’ve been enjoying the Megablast a ton! The Brooks Ghost Max 3 were also ok but for the money, go with the Megablast. They’re fast, bouncy, stable and great for us big guys. I heard good things about the Boston 12/13 but never liked the uppers. I also found the Vomero Plus too soft and unstable. I’m looking forward to trying the Vomero Premiums in October though! Those look bouncy and more stable. Good luck!
I want to preface this by saying I'm not a shoe geek: I don't spend time in this subreddit, and I have very few running shoes to compare them to, but this showed up on my suggested feed, and I am an avid lover of my GM3 for running. I've trained 350+ miles in mine, and plan to race my upcoming half marathon in them. I'm sure there are "better" running shoes out there, but the GM3 have gotten me through months of training with zero blisters, no break-in period, and minimal foot soreness. I've also had no injuries. I find them quite bouncy too. I accidentally stabbed the bottom of my foot with a 1cm long splinter a couple days ago (ow) and was worried about my long run the next day - no issues. I ran 10 miles yesterday with a hole in the bottom of my foot and didn't feel it. They've worked SO well for me that I'm probably the worst reviewer, because I can't compare them to much else (except the HOKA Clifton 10, which I hated). When this pair dies, I will buy another pair of them.
