Brooks Glycerin Max v1 - pricey but on sale now and I love them for long easy stuff and they can still pick up the pace if you want to push the last few kms

r/AskRunningShoeGeeksShould I add the Nike Vomero Plus to my collection if I already have a pair of Nimbus?

There are so many good options out there it’s hard for me to toss one in The 1080v15, Saucony Ride/Triumph, ASICS Novablast, Puma Velocity Nitro, 860/880 from NB, Brooks Ghost, Ghost Max, or the Glycerin. The main goal is that the drop should be slightly different, and the foam being a different feel to help reduce muscle fatigue and exercise other stress For me I have been rotating between the Vomero 18 (daily miles, walking, steady runs) and the Brooks Glycerin Max (easy runs/long runs) For my speed work I am using the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4

I’m about the same weight and I went with the Glycerin Max. Game changer for me in terms of comfort but I’m still breaking them in. One thing I noticed is that they heat up your feet quite a bit even wearing technical socks.

If the glycerine max is working well for your long runs I would have confidence in those

Nimbus 25,26 and 27 is the great for cloud like feel. Sink in feel. Another one is the glycerin max from brooks. Best recovery and easy run shoe.

I’m a big fan of the brooks glycerin and glycerin max. The max has more cushioning but the regular glycerin is also quite cushioned. Both are super comfy imo and have helped me build up miles as a beginner

No I’ve liked both. I actually bought the glycerin 21 without much high hopes with it on sale thinking I’d much prefer the Nike’s and saucony I got at the same time. I continually was reaching for the glycerin over those and when I saw the glycerin max on sale I decided to give them a try. Really like them I don’t think you’d go wrong with either

Most people don’t really need a “racing” shoe. Been running in glycerin max’s in races and haven’t had worse performance compared to races I ran in race shoes. I actually felt better afterwards too probably due to the extra cushioning for my feet

I have had the the brooks glycerin 21 and the brooks glycerin max and I have thoroughly enjoyed both. Got the max thinking the 21’s were almost done since they were at 400 miles but they’ve continued to serve me well

Maybe a little different than what you’re thinking but check out the brooks glycerin max. I bought it for easy recovery days but dang, it’s so good I use it all the time now for just about everything

6’ 225lbs. 35-45 miles/week on average. My current rotation: Brooks Glycerin 22 Brooks Glycerin Max Topo Atmos ASICS Superblast I wear the Glycerins when I plan on doing a balanced amount of walking and running. They strike a good balance for the two. For long recovery runs, I wear the Maxes. For easy miles, I use the Atmos. For days when I want to push the tempo, I wear the Superblast. If I was going to do two of those, I’d probably do the Glycerins and the Superblasts. I’d say they strike the best balance. You could really do either as a single shoe, but I think the Glycerins are better suited for slower work, and the Superblasts want to go faster. Trading the Glycerins for the Atmos would also be an option. They have a similar profile but are slightly softer, without being squishy. Plus they have the anatomical toe box, which helps with comfort.
