Brooks Glycerin Max v1 - pricey but on sale now and I love them for long easy stuff and they can still pick up the pace if you want to push the last few kms

They are definitely bouncy shoes but I think I like my Glizzy Max better. Can't really put my finger on why, but my feet/legs feel better after a 5k in the maxes over the vomero+. Maybe I still need to break the vomero+ in more as I've only got about 20 miles on mine.

Our paces are not too far apart for easy miles, and there are a few shoes I’d recommend. For pure easy daily miles & easy long runs, I’d highly recommend the Puma Mag Max 2 or the OG Glycerin Max. These two were not in your radar, but these shine for the intended purpose you plan to use your next shoe for the 70.3 training. Both are comfortable, are tanks, and can just build mileage without you thinking about it for your current paces. Now to move closer to the shoes that are currently on your radar…I have all, but the Superblast 3 so I can’t fully recommend it just off reviews. I had the Superblast 2, and while it was stable and supportive, it felt like a brick, and I felt like I was fighting the shoe at easy paces. I would avoid the Megablast completely. It is not an easy shoe. It’s quite aggressive and it just doesn’t feel the best for easy days. I prefer it for speed days, or long runs where you’re picking the pace or doing workouts within the long run. This leaves us to the Vomero Plus. I would recommend this out of your current prospects, because while it can pick up the pace, it’s very comfortable and bouncy for the easy days, but it can still handle some slightly faster paces. Very versatile if you ask me. Another close shoe to the Vomero Plus would be the R.A.D UFO, which was my fav shoe of 2025. It’s very soft, crazy bounce, great grip, and still quite stable due to its wide base. Highly recommend and would choose that over the Vomero Plus if you’re open to other options. Coming back to the SB3, while it’s not available yet, the reviews give me the vibe that it would be a similar ride to the Vomero Plus/RAD UFO. Those three shoes sound like they all plan to fit the intended purpose of a max cushion shoe, that is comfortable, can handle easy paces while going the distance. Hope this perspective helps and good luck on your training.

Glycerin Max hands down. I have a few contenders for easy runs, such as the Novablast 5, and I keep coming back to the Glizzy Max for easy/recovery runs. I’m anticipating trying out the Vomero Plus as well.

My like my actual rotation which is: Recovery: NB 1080 v14, Puma Magmax2 Daily: Mizuno Neo Zen, Asics Novablast 3 Longrun: Puma Magmax2, Brooks Glycerin Max 3 Speed: Saucony Endorphin Speed 5, Adidas Evo Sl Trail: LaSportiva Prodigio, Hoka Challenger 8 I plan on getting a peoper Raceday shoe soon (maybe Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 or Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 4) and a faster trail shoe (LaSportiva Prodigio Pro) Been running since september but pretty happy with my rotation💪🏻 Z2 pace 5:30-6:00/km , recovery 6:30/km, Intervalls 3:45-4:30/km

I’ve been loving my MagMax 2’s for straight recovery runs. I picked it up as a long run alternative to my Superblast 2’s for when I’m doing easier long runs, and I’ve even run some hill sprints in them (due to travel it was all I had), and it did both brilliantly. But where I’ve fell in love with the shoe is on recovery runs. Perfect balance of cushioning and responsiveness. Not too squishy, not too firm, takes away the ground feel (which I prefer for recovery), lighter than other recovery shoes I’ve tried (glizzy max, Vomero 18, Bondi) so doesn’t feel like you’ve got cinderblocks on your feet weighing you down, very easy to turnover (which is why I think they are great for long runs and even medium efforts in a pinch). Gotten mine up to 80 miles in 3 weeks, been doing 4-5 days a week in them.

The glycerin max is a great option imo

When I first started running in the glycerin max 1 I had some ankle issues which I attributed to the high stack height and softer foam. I do feel like over time I’ve adapted to them. The evo SL are on another level though haha

They're nice. I recently have been rotating my Brooks Glycerin Max (45mm/39mm) and they are super comfortable. I've experimented with everything from minimalist running sandles up to the Glycerin Max and everything in between. I like the variety, but the ultra high stack height is an interesting innovation, indeed. I think a lot of races have a 40mm limit currently.
