Mach 6-7, brooks hyperion 3, salomon aero blaze 3. Theese work well in the littlebit longer rums, but you csn use them for intervall sessions.

r/AskRunningShoeGeeksNeed shoe advice for marathon in 4 weeks — stick with Adizero Evo SL or try something new?

The Hyperion 3 (not max) felt decent in a short try on. Reminded me of the Superblast 2 regarding cruise/roll/rocker behavior. But considering I had been on a 6 week illness break, probably every shoe would have felt nice 😅 I consider them more as a new daily after I have worn through my current shoes (which might take a while), because I liked the Hyperion 2 and the 3 felt very natural and just like built for my running form. But way too less experience to give you any based review. The Megablasts are high stack but very light and boy do they love to pick up the pace and feel nimble and bouncy. I'd say comparable to the Evo SL but more stable and great outsole which also works on wet surfaces.

I can only say something about Ghost 16 which I use for walking/work. Did one run in them and I think they are a good allrounder but a bit more neutral than stable. If you also fancy a pretty natural feeling shoe that can go a bit quicker as well, the Hyperion 3 are pretty nice in my opinion. I have the Hyperion 2 GTS and version 3 doesn't come anymore as GTS version but it is quite stable that's why they didn't feel the need to make a dedicated GTS. I never had any durability issues so far with Brooks.

Agreed. Gym fitness will for sure help but running 50 miles is a whole different beast. Nonetheless, I wish you the best bro. My shoe rotation rn is Asics Novablast 5 for my easy paces and I bounce between the brooks hyperion 3 and adidas evo sl for speed work. Honestly, not a big fan of either the brooks or the adidas (which, I know, doesn't fit the hype around the shoe). But I LOVE the novablasts and would highly recommend. We are similar height (5'10") and weight (175 lbs).

I lean towards needing a more stable shoe. Have picked up the Brooks Hyperion 3 recently for a slightly faster feel and really rate them!

r/AskRunningShoeGeeksFast running shoe to pair with Nimbus 27

I think an important distinction to figure out is whether you want a big tall max-stack shoe (like the Nimbus but lighter and bouncier) for your speed sessions, or you want something lower and nimbler (which I'd prefer for sprinting). The Novablast, Superblast, Megablast, Vomero Plus are all examples of very high-stack shoes which do well at faster paces but they are all so tall I personally wouldn't prefer them for sprinting (100-800m repeats). But they will be excellent for sustained tempo efforts like your 5k pace or longer. The Endorphin Speed 5, Hoka Mach 6, Brooks Hyperion 3, Puma Velocity Nitro 4 are examples of shoes with more traditional stacks (more substantial than a flat or track spike, but less clownshoe-like than the max stack stuff) that personally I prefer to do sprinting or track workouts in due to better stability and not getting in the way of turning the feet over quickly.

r/AskRunningShoeGeeksWhat to Use for Marathon Race Day if not Carbon? (With an inexplicable bent towards Brooks)

Honestly everything I've heard about the Hyperion Max 3 would indicate that this is the shoe built for your purpose that Brooks makes. It's a high-mileage plated tempo cruising shoe. Yes it's not the lightest on the market but it's supposed to have better energy return than the Glycerin and feel better at race paces. It doesn't jump off the pages with the specs but the reviewers definitely seem to enjoy running long miles in them. Honestly most of the reviews I read/watch around the Hyperion Max 3, and definitely the Hyperion Elites, are conducted at paces faster than you intend to run. But it's very possible the extra cushion and better foam could still help you! If the Hyperion Max 3 feels too tall, then pretty much most of the supertrainers out there are also too tall. Just the trends of the industry right now. In which case I think the Hyperion 3 is in fact the next best shoe Brooks makes for you. It's got very similar stack to the latest Ghost, and at a much lighter weight. Regardless of what the internet can tell you, you'll have to do some long runs in them to see how they feel!

Like me, you may prefer something firmer. Try Brooks Hyperion 3, great upper, responsive and lightweight, a recent underrated gem in daily trainers.

Wholeheartedly agree with both recommendations. Energetic, fun foams; flexible midsole with a connected ground feel, but just a little more than the Kinvara, and some versatility for faster uptempo days.

I used to have a BAD running shoe problem, I had like 25. I am now reformed but still have a lot apparently: *Hoka Mach 6 for everyday runs, I run part road part trail and these get gunked up every day, ugly lavender but muddied up which I love *Brooks Hyperion for everyday runs or short races (5k, 10k) -I was using this as dailys but I was gunking them on trails and I like them too much so I got the hokas above to destroy *Adidas Adizero Evo SL for road long runs (will use for my half marathons) -LOVE this shoe, cushy but speedy, makes me feel super fast *Hoka speedgoats for trail -I am meh about these, I prefer road shoes on trail, if I had more technical or slippery trails I would use these but other than that they just exist Vintage: *Adidas adizero adios boost, used to be my LD race shoes, they are like 10 years old and I refuse to give them up because they are old school undercushioned and fast *Mizuno hitogami also about 10 years old, proper racing flats supposedly for mid distance but I love them for short distance. Love love love how clicky they are, they go so fast Ok, nobody reading this but it warmed my heart to talk about my shoes, lol
