Brooks Launch(10) just bought my second pair to be my indoor/treadmill shoes until my outdoor shoes(Launch 9? I think)are no good, I think i got the Launch 10 for max $75 at Nordstrom Rack? Weird find, but Ilove them.

Looking to buy a new pair of tennis shoes for a little bit of running and training in the gym. Will probably wear them for everyday walking as well. I transitioned to mostly barefoot shoes years ago and it’s actually wild how much my feet have widened. I wear mostly Vivos, Whitins and sandals like Bedrocks. I cannot tolerate narrow or high platform shoes anymore. However, I can tolerate a slight platform for running purposes, but not to the extent that companies like Hoka and OnClouds have taken their shoes. I like Altras for the wide toe box but they generally have too much cusion for me as well. I’m interested in Flux but have seen some negative reviews. For reference, I do have a pair of old Brooks, I don’t even remember the model but maybe Launch 10, that I like platform wise. Looking for any and all input! Thank you!

Hi -- for years, my everyday shoe was the Brooks Launch (I had at least one pair of every iteration from 4-10), and I liked the Hyperion Tempo as my race shoe. The Tempo has been discontinued, and I hate the Brooks Launch 11s. The toe box seems narrow, and while they were fine for shorter runs, the first time I took them over 20 miles, I ended up with a black toenail. :( Also, the heel is wearing down quicker than previous iterations. After the bad experience with the 11s, I haven't tried the 12s. In the past, I've tried the Brooks Ghost, but those felt huge on my feet. I didn't care much for them either, but they didn't hurt. My trail runner is currently the Brooks Cascadia 16, which I love. Any suggestions? I've had good luck with Brooks in the past, but I'm willing to try other brands. Usage: Training for marathon+ (first 50k approaching), mostly on road and treadmill Feet: My feet are wider, and I think I have a normal foot strike. I have struggled with plantar fasciitis in the past, and got a stress fracture in my right foot last year (although I believe this was due to a hiking incident, not running). Feel: I \*think\* I like a firmer shoe, but I'm open to suggestions. Budget: Any

You might want to look at hyrox type shoes. Personally I’ve liked the brooks launch for gym + cardio. They’re pretty firm and stable so unless I’m really lifting heavy I don’t have any issues.

Brooks Launch. Not just cheap (relatively) but legitimately good shoes.

Asics Novablast 5 might work for you. From personal experience, the Brooks Launch were also my go-tos until they did something weird with the formula adding gel or whatnot. Brooks Ghost 14 gave me stress fracture like pain almost immediately. So far, the Novablast lineup has been my go-to.

That's just not true. Nike Pegasus and brooks launch are 2 good entry level shoes and you can use them for any style of training or racing

Nb5 is to soft if you overpronate. Not sure about vomero. Would rather try a saucony ride, adizero sl2 or brooks launch (lower stack, more stable)if I were you
