Were you wearing the Brooks Launch GTS? Very different to just the Brooks Launch. In terms of the GTS version, the other Brooks shoes with similar support are Adrenaline GTS and Glycerin GTS, but they both fit differently. There was also the Hyperion GTS that has been discontinued, but I believe they were fairly similar fit to the Launch GTS and it's possible to find pairs still on sale in some sizes. As someone else has mentioned, New Balance 860 could also be a good option, they tend to run narrower than the Brooks Adrenalines. Asics also run narrow and have a few stability options.

Hi all, It seems like the Tempus 2 and the Hyperon GTS are mostly out of stock (in EU). The Launch GTS was phased out, what are the alternatives for a fast stability shoe for tempo training? Do you train with a "stable neutral" shoe for speed and stability for long runs? I mostly overpronate, and I had insoles made but I don't like running with them. I loved my Tempus and Launch GTS 9 sou would really love to find an alternative Thanks!
Pretty much any shoe will be fine for race day. Remember carbon/pebax shoes are a really new innovation, and for years people ran very well and very fast in shoes which today lots would sneer at. I stick to non carbon shoes all the time, mainly because I don't want to achieve a PB due to tech, I want to achieve it in shoes similar to the ones I set my PBs in up to 10 years ago. Brooks Ravenna were my PB shoes (3:08), since then it's been Launch GTS. Over a distance they are comfortable, feel quick enough to me and I like them!!
Money no object, then fine. But equally there's nothing wrong in having a pretty all purpose shoe like a Peg or Brooks Launch and just do all of your running in that. Shoe rotations of the extremes we see today might be slightly better, but it's all pretty marginal stuff.
You might want to look at hyrox type shoes. Personally I’ve liked the brooks launch for gym + cardio. They’re pretty firm and stable so unless I’m really lifting heavy I don’t have any issues.
I'm trying to break 3:30 and I don't have super super shoes, but I do have ones with carbon (mostly cause I'm cheap and there is no way I'm spending over $300 on a pair of shoes). So I'm rocking the Puma Deviate Nitros and yes it does help me go faster, but not tons but still makes a difference cause the first marathon I ever ran was in Brooks Launches - a very neutral shoe that wasn't very forgiving, but it was light. Anyways I think it's worth it if you are trying to hit a certain goal and shave off minutes because I do know that it will give you about a 2% bump in production. Note - I noticed someone said the zoom fly 6 in the thread - I tried them and they absolutely wrecked me every time I ran in them, not sure why I wanted to like them, but dang my calves were so sore afterwards.
