I bought a couple of pairs of Kiprun running shoes, had some just bog standard ones a couple of years ago, then bought the last model of the Kiprun KD900X LD+ in Oct 2024 (on sale £99 down from £159). My first plated shoe. Immediately cut 20-30s from my parkrun time (from around 19:10-20 to 18:40-50) and felt pretty good. I now have some Nike Vomero’s for long easy runs and ASICS Novablast 5 for medium/fast paced and use the plated Kiprun shoes for races and some fast sessions. I bought another pair of exactly the same mid-way through 2025 with my eyes on a half marathon as they were now down to £59 (new model had come out). I think they are quite stiff, and decent enough shoes, but last years ASICS/Nike/Saucony (plated) are usually available around £100-150 so I’m not sure the top end Kiprun shoes are that much of a bargain anymore. To me the brand shines in the £30-70 range, and if you see a big discount then maybe worthwhile. I’ve been happy with them.

Ive got some kiprun KD900x LD+ and for <£100 they have been amazing. Very comfy on long runs and cut about 15s/km off my general pace (from 5:00/km to 4:45/km) with zero extra effort, if anything, I used less effort as they feel like they throw you forward when you get your form right Done about 100km in them so far and they still look and feel brand new

Im doing my 3rd marathon on Sunday & it will be my 2nd in Kiprun Carbon Plate KD900's (my 3rd pair of the same trainer). Theyre amazing at the price.

Im 47 (m) and on over 1500miles for 2025. Decathlon 'kiprun' have changed my life... unreal quality and best price in the market. I use Hoka GTX for winter runs but if its dry where you are, kiprun are unbeatable. Good luck

Yeah, Kiprun is worth a try if it feels comfortable. Asics Jolt or Jog 100 are also solid beginner options. Fit matters more than the brand so go with whatever feels easiest on your feet.

Honestly, the Kalenji is the best in here that's light on the feet and the pocket. It's very very very comfortable and long lasting. The easiest to wash, dries quickly. Complete all rounder.
