Why don't you get the new Kipride Max and pair it with your 900x.2 or KipStorm Challenger as it's now called ;) It's the combo I'm using at the moment. Kipride Max for easy & long runs and the X2 for interval and tempo. The X2 is a so called "non aggressive" plated shoe as it's not super stiff. Do take note that the Max uses a new last so the sizing is different. I had to go up 0.5 from my usual 41 in Kiprun to a 41.5 for the Max. If not you could take a look at the normal KipRide as that's more of a daily trainer than a easy/long run shoe the Max is.

Nice review. KIPRUN making some seriously good shoes this year. I’ve just got the Kipride max and the first run was incredibly fun and bouncy. I will need to replace my EVO SLs soon so will definitely be considering these or the Puma deviate nitro 4s.

I guess it really depends on the use. If you have a full rotation I feel like they don’t make much sense as they are huge shoes and although you can use them in a variety of paces it’s still a big shoe. I used them as a recovery shoe but now using the Kiprun Kipride Max that I found better as a recovery shoe only! Not a fan of big shoes for everything, still think it’s good to have some ground feel and footwork on intervals and harder workouts

I've got two Kiprun shoes, one from last year's models, the carbon plated Kiprun KD900X.2, and one of this year's new shoes, the Kiprun Kipride Max I've ran my 5k PB in the Kiprun KD900X.2 and it is so comfortable underfoot to run in as a race shoe. The Kipride Max is Kiprun's max cushioned shoe for daily easy and long runs, and I've found it's good to run marathon pace too So in answer to your question, I'd say the brand is definitely on par with some shoes from the big boys in the last couple of years

I have the same shoes and problem, i never liked my nb5 🤣 But since you are already using kiprun kd900x.2, then you should use the kiprun kipcore for your daily runs and kipride max for lsd My current shoe rotation is ks900.2 when i need disciplined/form runs, kipcore for my easy days and kipride max for my lsds

Yeah, Kiprun is worth a try if it feels comfortable. Asics Jolt or Jog 100 are also solid beginner options. Fit matters more than the brand so go with whatever feels easiest on your feet.

Im 47 (m) and on over 1500miles for 2025. Decathlon 'kiprun' have changed my life... unreal quality and best price in the market. I use Hoka GTX for winter runs but if its dry where you are, kiprun are unbeatable. Good luck

Honestly, the Kalenji is the best in here that's light on the feet and the pocket. It's very very very comfortable and long lasting. The easiest to wash, dries quickly. Complete all rounder.
