From personal experience 361 Degrees Eleos 2 Plus, Li-ning Red Hare 8 Pro will also work (9 Pro is reportedly more cushioned so you can choose that). Dynafish Xiaonian as well but they aren't for slow runs. Jury is still out on the 2000km 5.0 Pro because they're fairly new to me (current mileage is still at 39 km for jogging and walking) and the midsole is still pretty firm. All good though, forces you to work and not rely on the rocker and they seem to be ideal for faster paces.

At $150? If you live in U.S., I would hunt for Red Hare 9 Ultra (obtainable at $130 - $160 price range, depending on where you get them and what color) or Dynafish Xiaonian (obtainable for $130ish)....both obliterate the $150 western competition. R9U will make you bounce around, Xiaonian will trick you into running faster because of geometry...and you won't even notice it, unless you look at your watch.

Squarely between these three? EVO SL. Thought I'd probably spend money on Dynafish Xiaonian over Evo SLs for an all rounder. Cost *about* the same, depending on region and promos, runs better (source: personal experience of someone who owns both and is currently trying to get to 5k sub 20 (personal best so far is 21:08).)

Saw one day a post telling they were the best shoes ever. Thought it was a scam but i needed to try. Now I have I can't wear anything else and have 5 shoes sleeping in my drawers.

Dynafish Xiaonian. Such a "blast" to run it - and many of my other shoes are beginning to collect dust at this point. Less than half the price of the Megablast. My general recommendation: Evo SL. Can be bought everywhere. It's always at a discount. I still believe this is the best value (western) shoe that anyone can currently buy. For a plated trainer - I know it's dropped in popularity, but it just seems to agree with my running form and works very well for me: Zoom Fly 6.

... and better too. My only complaint with the Dynafish Xiaonian is the (unnecessary) hard material at the end of the toe box. A more forgiving material there and it would be literally a perfect shoe.

Honestly a daily trainer like a puma velocity nitro 4. It feels like an all round better version of a pegasus in the way that it does everything well. The li ning red hare 9 pro is also a great budget alternative that's as good for about 40% of the price if you can be bothered to use the TaoBao app. If you want something faster and more protective I'd consider the Dynafish Xiaonian which are my favourite shoe of all time. Super light and I use them for my 7:30 min/km recovery sessions and my 3:40 tempo runs and they're great in both. Plus they're cheap

Loads of selection but my pick is the Dynafish Xiaonian because I genuinely think nothing is as versatile while not being compromised. The only issue is the god awful laces and the lack of larger sizes

Dynafish Xiaonian has a super thin single layer upper. It's more of a supertrainer than a max cushion shoe though even though it has a LOT of foam

Dynafish Xiaonian is my recommendation as it sits between these shoes. It can do the slower stuff like the novablast but it's better than the EVO SL at faster stuff imo. Also significantly lighter and more stable than the SL I wouldn't get the novablast either way though if you're planning on keeping them for a while. The foam dies after about 200km which is pretty bad for what's meant to be a daily trainer. Mine died and they're bricks

If you can be bothered to use TaoBao then the Li Ning Feidian Challenger 5 is an absolutely insane pick for about $50 shipped. Slightly less aggressive carbon plate with 2 layers of PEBA foam that makes it a bit softer and bouncier compared to the superblasts. They're quite a bit more on AliExpress but still way cheaper than the superblasts and nicer depending on what you're looking for. If you want something unplated the Dynafish Xiaonian is an absolutely stunning shoe for about $90. Super light and versatile for pretty much any pace and it's just a great all rounder. As my first Chinese shoes I was blown away

For tempo sessions, threshold work and even easy runs/daily training the Dynafish XN is insanely versatile. Like unbelievably so. For racing and intervals I really like the sound of the Anta C202 G9 2 especially considering how cheap it is at the moment. You're paying close to Feidian 6 challenger money for a shoe that's positioned as an 'elite racer'. It's also the best looking shoe on the market imo. The runsifly flare elite also looks super interesting at that price point too, a super smooth, versatile, lightweight racer. Then you can get something stupid and fun as a third shoe. Like the Miro Nude 2 or PB PRO. The anta C10 Pro 2 also looks completely unhinged but it's expensive, same with the Feidian 5/6 ultra. For a normal 3 shoe rotation though I'd probably go Red Hare 9 Pro as a balanced, moderate stack daily trainer, the Xiaonian as the long run shoe that can also handle tempo sessions and the C202 G9 2 or Feidian 6 Elite as the more forgiving marathon racers depending on how much you want to spend. If you get the Xiaonian I'd strongly recommend getting notched laces and the 5mm insole which should make it fit TTS. Transforms the shoe

Dynafish Xiaonian. Has the top end of the evo SL with the long run/daily training comfort of the Vomero Plus while being significantly lighter than either and half the price. Unreal shoe, just make sure to pick up some better laces

I wouldn't. It's not a super recent model and that isn't a super good price. For some people these really work but for others they're clunky and not enjoyable to run in. The plate also limits versatility somewhat. If you're just going to get one running shoe I'd go for a supertrainer or elevated daily trainer. Something like a Puma Velocity Nitro 4, Endorphin Azura, Vomero Plus, EVO SL or Asics Megablast (though the Megablast is stupid expensive). The VN4 is lower stack compared to the rest but still an awesome shoe, the vomero is a bit heavy, the Azura is a bit firm and the EVO is unstable. There's tradeoffs to all of them but I'd still say they're better all round compared to the zoom fly. If it were up to me I'd 100% go for something Chinese. The Dynafish Xiaonian is a complete no brainer for an everything shoe for 1/3 the price of a megablast which also makes it insane value. The Li Ning Red Hare 8/9 Pro is also a great lower stack option that's half the price of the Xiaonian. Both use full stacks of high end foam, no cheap EVA carrier layer like the Zoom Fly. If you can't get TaoBao in your region (it's in a surprising number of countries now) though just go for the western ones above. All are good shoes

Also if you're concerned about speed the EVO SL, Megablast and Xiaonian are the fastest, followed by the Li Ning RH8/9 Pro. The Azura is the most stable and the Vomero is the most 'comfortable'. Just whatever you do go to your local outlets or find the cheapest prices online. Most of these can be found on pretty big sales

Depends what you're looking for. Do you usually have any issues with stability? Do you prefer bounce or do you want something that is less responsive. Something like the Glideride Max and Red Hare 9 Ultra are both amazing long run shoes but they sit at complete opposite ends of the spectrum so it really depends on preference. The RH9U is an amazing shoe if you want incredible bounce and don't care about stability. The Superblast 3 is great (but expensive) if you want bounce (still noticeably less than the RH9U) and stability, or the Endorphin Azura if you want a firmer ride which is similar to your Endorphin Speeds. The Dynafish Xiaonian sits somewhere in the middle as a lightweight, fairly stable, smooth and bouncy shoe that is great for pretty much everything. It's my long run shoe and I love it If you don't want bounce the Qiaodan LH600 is specifically designed for slow, long runs while the Glideride and nimbus both do the relatively soft, low bounce thing well if you're never going to pick up the pace. Also shoutout the Mizuno Neo Vista 3, it's an absolute tank of a shoe if all you care about is shock absorption. No shoe touches it in that regard without an insane weight penalty

If you're an Australian and you're conscious of budget and durability PLEASE consider Chinese options. I used to be an Asics guy but I've gradually replaced every shoe in my rotation with something Chinese because they're usually as good or better at 1/2-1/3 the price. For a novablast type shoe I'd go for a Qiaodian TG1.0. Should also be more durable as it doesn't have the foam issues the Novablast has. ~70aud on AliExpress. For a magic speed type shoe the Feidian 5 Challenger is the best value shoe in the world. Check out jogoncrago or RUN ARE's videos on it but it's now ~$60aud shipped on the TaoBao app for a carbon plated, lightweight speed shoe with a full PEBA midsole For a superblast shoe the Li Ning Red Hare 9 Ultra and Dynafish Xiaonian are really hyped for good reason. I don't own the Li Ning but it's meant to be super protective, bouncy and fun. I have the Xiaonian and it's the best shoe I've ever worn. Unbelievably versatile, protective, light and responsive with a super aggressive geometry. The RH9U is $100 and the Xiaonian $125 shipped, both from Taobao The Chinese shoe rabbit hole is definitely worth going down if you're in Australia Also all these shoes have CPU outsoles which are very durable. Plus I know my Xiaonians are still great after 350km which I can't say about my novablast 5s

Dynafish Xiaonian is probably most similar to the EVO SL. Similar rocker geometry but there's over 40mm of stack and a slightly softer, bouncier foam with better stability. There's also the megablast but it's extremely expensive and the geometry is relatively different. Some people also have issues with the upper and it's 3x the price of the Xiaonian at least in Australia

Dynafish Xiaonian has full coverage on the heel and a super wide base and toebox. Also better and cheaper than the EVO

I've heard good things about the Do Win PB Pro which is similar to the adidas PRO EVO 1 just with a full carbon plate. Still a fast shoe but more versatile than the streakfly. The Qiaodan Qinghong is the lightest shoe you can get (ignoring the upcoming PRO EVO 3) but you can only really get it through an agent on Xianyu, and even then you'll have to get it slightly used or as new. I would recommend the Dynafish Xiaonian but it has a 3/4 length plate which makes heel striking feel a bit clunky. There's also the Qiaodian Qinghong FREE which is an unplated racing flat ish shoe. Like a slightly higher stack adios 9 with a slightly lower weight. It's a brand new model though so you'll be taking a risk without anyone else trying them

I've had the Dynafish Xiaonian for 300km or so and it's held up extremely well and Li Ning have a great reputation for durability. The main reason I'm recommending Chinese stuff it because it's significantly cheaper than western brands while often being as good or better performance wise. They also have a lot more lower stack racing shoes or super light 'hypershoes' that aren't $500+. The Do-Win is on TaoBao in limited sizes or on Xianyu in more sizes brand new. I'm happy to give a Xianyu link for whatever size you are because it's extremely painful to navigate normally and you need a passport

I would warn against the novablast 5. Some people don't have issues but many including me feel the midsole just die after 250km or so which is unacceptable for a relatively expensive shoe. It's a good shoe but it isn't good enough to justify that. Personally if you can get them I'd STRONGLY recommend the Dynafish Xiaonian. They're the best shoes I've ever experienced and they'd suit what you're doing. They have the stack of the Vomero plus but with a significantly lower weight. They're also surprisingly amazing for faster stuff, I've done tempo stuff at ~3:30 pace in them and it feels amazing. It's also my long run shoe at around 5:30 pace and it's smooth, responsive, comfortable and cushioned. Everything you want in a shoe like that it's genuinely unbelievable. Not much info on durability because it's a relatively new model but I've got nearly 300kms on mine and the foam is great and the outsole shows little to no wear which is insane. Only issue is sizing goes up to eu45 (fits like a 11.5) and TaoBao can be a bit annoying. Also the laces are crap and some don't like the insole but Dynafish makes thicker insoles and you can get serrated laces for like a dollar.

The Dynafish Xiaonian is the best shoe in its category and what you should get imo. Big stack of super responsive TPEE foam, a super durable CPU outsole, amazing rocker geometry, good fitting upper and super low weight. It's also much cheaper

I love my Dynafish Xiaonian. Balanced foam that isn't too soft for a heavier guy, loads of stack, aggressive geometry, super bouncy foam and a super low weight which makes it a good racing option. That or the Megablast but the Xiaonian is 1/3 of the price which makes it a no brainer for me

As you suggested the Endorphin azura is a good stable shoe for a supertrainer. Relatively firm though. There's also the Dynafish Xiaonian which is a whole lotta fun with a really wide base and no midfoot cutout meaning it's significantly more stable compared to the EVO even if the Azura is likely slightly more stable. The Xiaonian is the cheaper and better shoe though

The Xiaonian. The widest shoe of the three with the widest range. The zone 2 90 is close but the outsole sucks (which is weird as most Chinese outsoles are super durable) which Anta will hopefully address when they replace it. I love the F5C but the plate limits versatility and it's relatively unstable. Great shoe but not as a do it all I've had the Xiaonian for 360km now and it's been flawless. I recently got to try the EVO SL and it's not even close really. The Xiaonian is a smooth, responsive, super cushioned shoe that is surprisingly good at going fast. The weight helps too even if the Zone 2 90 is slightly lighter again

Hopefully it is mate. Good luck with it. As long as you get some serrated laces it's a perfect shoe, I sold my adios pro 3 after getting these because I didn't want to use them. Just get white or the white and red. I got black because it was the only colour in stock but it looks so much better in lighter colours, plus the paint won't wear off the midsole
