I have overpronated feet, nagpa analysis ako sa Runnr sa BGC and before, I used my ultraboost for running kasi sa utak ko beginner palang naman ako and 5k lang tinatakbo ko. Considered neutral ata sya. Comfy sakin tong shoes na to ah But sumasakit talaga yun sa sole ko bandang gitna after running. Im now using Hoka Arahi 7 and I could say sakto sya sa paa ko. Stability shoes sya and takot din ako sa injury kaya naghanap ako. Even used it for long haul travels.
Though ang cons ko lang is madulas sya sa basang tiles! Haha but kung road running naman lang talaga, oks sya. Gaviota ata yun isa na triny ko but mas ganda yun fit ng Arahi. Check out din also Brooks Adrenaline.
Same tayo halos. I have adidas ultraboost pero wala masyado cushion so nagtry ako ng nike running shoes na i dont know since wala ko alam gusto ko lang tumakbo then nagresearch na ko to find out the right shoes since takot ako sa injuries. Prevention is better than cure di ba? Kaya nagpagait ako. Rbh, hoka arahi 7 din isa sa mga recos as per research ko. Good thing humagamit ka so helpful yung experience mo for me. Nakasukot na ko ng hoka ang I can say masarap nga talaga sa paa. I will consider this. Thank you po.
Oh nice to point out. Yeah for running lang naman talaga. Medyo pricey lang talaga ng mga shoes na to akala ko running ang affordable hobby hahahaha eyeing a smart watch pa pero yun entry level lang.
I have the Arahi 7’s and their super comfortable and and are great for running. Only issue is that I had was the. when I first got them, they were a a bit big so I my foot wasn’t in the right place causing my arch to hurt. I recommend you try then on before buying to get the perfect fit
I’m supposed to run in stability shoes according to my gait analysis but I’ve never been a big fan and don’t think they work for me. Current shoe is a Hoka Ahari 7 which I believe is a very mild stability shoe. Two pairs on the go now, one for walks and the other for running. Gonna buy another pair soon before they ruin them with a version 8!!!
Hoka Ahari 7. I have separate walking and running pairs. Best trainer I’ve worn for years, and that includes more expensive ones.
Over-pronator here, training for Amsterdam too. I run and train for HYROX on Hoka Arahi 7s. Used to wear the Arahi 5. Perfect balance between speed and comfort, excellent grip, and good stability for me. However, it’s different for everyone. Do a proper analysis at runnersworld for example and try out different shoes for several km’s on a treadmill before settling.
Hoka Arahai 7s changed my life, well the ankle-rolling part of my life anyway
overpronator here. I love my Brooks Adrenaline GTS (year doesn't really matter much - I always look for last seasons / sale anyway). Never ran the Ghosts but I think they're more neutral than support (like the adrenaline are). Might be worth looking into those? Ultimately this a personal preference thing and we can't really advise what will work best for you but if you buy direct from Brooks, you can trial shoes before committing to them. I think you have about 100 days or something? Same with Hoka (Arahi 7's are nice, but again a bit more neutral)
Weirdly, I tried some Hoka Arahi 7 shoes on in the store and they were really comfortable. They didn’t have the colour I wanted so I ordered some from Hoka’s website and I had the same problem as you in one foot. After a few days of breaking them in, in the house though, I had no issues.
I have Hoka Arahi 7 shoes. But my feet are long and narrow with overpronation. I suggest getting some good gait analysis from a shoe store where they will be the best people to suggest what’s right for you.
I've been alternating between New Balance Fresh Foam X 860v14 and the Hoka Arahi 7. I couldn't decide which I preferred so I got both. The Hoka feels slightly more stable and the NB is slightly more comfortable. They both help a lot with overpronation and have helped my patella from roaming so much. Would highly recommend either (or both!)
If you want a Hoka shoe with stability, that would be the Arahi or the Gaviota.
