I personally run in Hokas. I use the Bondi 9s. I need the cushioning it seems. However the Bondi 9s are a pretty expensive running shoe so I usually suggest the Clifton 10s because they can pretty much do it all. With this being said every runner is different in what they like or need so would recommend trying these shoes in a running shoe store to see which shoe you like the best
Flat feet here. What I've learned is that the fit is everything. I love brooks. Had some great brooks before. My wife has brooks. But hokas fit me better so I run in Hokas. Cliftons 10 are soft, but not too soft. I like them a lot for my easy miles. Mach 6 are firmer. I like them a lot too and use them for my speed work. Try the shoes in the store, you may be suporized.
Hoka bondi - very soft, too soft for me, Hoka clifton - soft, harder than bondi - mu daily choice.
Hmmm...good question. Today I'd probably answer Hokas. I have three different pair (Clifton 10, Clifton 9GTX, Challenger 8) and I like all of them. But I could probably be persuaded by Asics as well, which I have also been quite happy with.
Clifton’s a little more comparable to the skyflow, witha more cushioned ride. I liked the skyflow, trying the clifton 10 now to reduce impact a bit.
Followed this exact path, started running with Clifton 10s and Evo SL was my 2nd purchase. Probably mostly psychological but I ran a good deal faster in the EVOs. Didn’t feel like they would allow me to run 10 min miles, even though at the time that’s what I was doing in the Hokas
I use the Clifton 10 for easy/recovery runs. Most of the other Hokas are 5-drop and narrow, neither my preference. I also find Nikes and most Pumas too narrow. The only Adidas I like are the Boston 12/13, absolute bangers for intervals and hills repeats. Mainly run in Saucony Endorphin Speed, occasionally Ride 18. A few Brooks as well- Hyperion gts2, etc. Race day- New Balance SC Elite v4.
I use hoka Clifton 10 and they fit my wide feet pretty well. Last time I was fitted, new balance 1080 felt the exact same (although similarly priced). Haven’t found a cheaper alternative but the hoka fits well and is durable so it’s worth it in my book
If you want a comfortable supportive shoe I’d go for the [Hoka Clifton 10’s](https://www.amazon.co.uk/HOKA-1162031-BRGL-Clifton-Women-Black/dp/B0D5GFS7XG?crid=1Y685MJ6FTI4C&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.6DS1ORaHvc2-uuxfbcbivAqkRlYSuBuWvl_5YXG4CvOqVQaN7PIanizw5t2DByx2IskyNp_xObCau3ncMaz4ZkykTeUCxJKyVgU95wL8Di6TWU__FgZ3uWvhRvVceBCsU_KNfJMST2SwO2tKDBjl_JHtxckpjUz8mrf8RfPKj13mER_2btpWwzooKzlthsoel9tYaZOsJZFYiM0Vg9xvi0eoKGGnvW07oFuAmIDaD86BdjHMpyarM3xyaPfqfrWIyw6eOAztaWDzPsXMl7672-ziG3sZQ85ENfMcEB698Tc.WR-UiWzXffJs3uMmMlRpD-xqsBMhBXrFL148cO0E_O4&dib_tag=se&keywords=hoka%2Bclifton%2B10&qid=1768850611&sprefix=hoka%2Bclift%2Caps%2C118&sr=8-4&th=1&psc=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=rudyc02-21&linkId=d7ef4a305f4c42757e70b6e674b50e35&language=en_GB&ref_=as_li_ss_tl)
Hoka makes the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever owned. The Clifton 10 is my go to for just walking around casual wear.
I have wide feet and I love my Hoka Clifton 9, just got the 10. I bought them true to size but loosen the forefoot and tighten at the ankle. They are extremely comfortable.
