I have the PB4 and I am a 2E. I usually go half a size up than my usual shoe size and they fit perfectly. I’d probably say Do-win fits me better than western brands.
I have the Li-Ning Challanger 5 and Elite 6 in half a size up and they work too.
Thanks for the review, good to see more of these getting attention in the running shoe space. Nice analysis and I agree with most of your points regarding the comparisons; now I'm actually curious because a lot of people like jogoncrago said they were very different from the 5 Elite. These are in my top 3 race shoes any distance (tied for 2nd with the Do-Win PB Pro behind the Fast R 3) but my first pick if I were to run a marathon tomorrow. The underfoot sensation is just incredible, like a more extreme responsive version of the Adios Pro 4.
I also wear the same size as you. I have all the current li-ning lineup in the 9.5US size, all fit perfectly. You have to go up half a size from the Xiaonian since Xiaonian's measurement is a bit off from other chinese brand. Best to use CN chart with chinese shoes, they all have it.
Basically everything I thought from trying them this last Wednesday. I have a competitive half marathon in a few hours and I’m tossing up between them and the endorphin elite OG.. tough choice ahead!
I got the challenger 5 from Shein for £62. They are really great. My only issue is my left foot has a little heel lift and as there is no heel lock lace loops. I had to re-tie once during my run. Used them for an up-tempo interval run and track intervals so far. (I've heard the challenger 6 isn't a good upgrade!) I got the Feidian 6 elite for about £140 from ali express. I don't really know what to say other than WOW. Soft and very explosive, I managed to get them down to 2hr10min marathon pace pretty easily without breaking a sweat. Word of caution though they might be unstable on corners if you're not careful. My usual size is 10.5/11 UK, and chinese 46 was fine for both the lining shoes Unrelated but I also got the Dynablast Xiaonian for about £60 plus fees using a combination of buy&ship and Taobao. The step in feel is amazing, can't wait to take them out but waiting for drier weather as its been non-stop rain here for several weeks 😐 The largest size they had was 45 Chinese but they are a pretty big fit so fit my feet ok.
I have v6 on the way 👍
Height: 169 cm Weight: 52 kg (115 lbs) Shoe: Li-Ning Feidian 6 Elite Size: US 8 Use: First run, pyramid intervals I picked this up after seeing strong reviews from both local runners and Western creators. I wanted to feel how a top Chinese market racer performs, so I went half size up from my usual US 7.5. Fit The fit feels secure overall. I have about a thumb’s width of space in front of my toes. Lockdown feels solid through the heel. The midfoot runs narrow. I feel pressure along the metatarsal area during runs. Lacing adjustments help, but the shape still leans snug in that zone. Midsole This is the standout. The ride feels lively, responsive, and cushioned. It gives a strong forward push once I hit rhythm. I used it for pyramid intervals at 3:30 to 3:55/km, and it handled pace changes well. The energy return feels high, and turnover feels smooth. Stability drops when I land midfoot or heel. The platform feels less controlled at slower or uneven contact. Outsole Grip feels strong. It holds well on road surfaces, including slightly damp sections. No slipping so far. What I dislike Midfoot feels narrow and can irritate the metatarsal area Stability feels inconsistent, especially on midfoot or heel strike Overall This is a fast and aggressive race shoe. It rewards efficient form and higher speeds. The midsole delivers strong propulsion and energy return. Fit works best for narrower feet. Stability may be an issue if your form shifts late in races or during slower segments. TLDR Light, poppy, and fast. Strong grip. Best at speed. Narrow midfoot and unstable ride limit comfort for some runners.
it's a bit unstable for me, i tend to overpronate with this shoe when i am running on an uneven surface haha.
I like mine, considered them for a marathon but having done a 5k and 10k fartlek session in them yesterday I feel I won’t get the best out of them as they absolutely fly at the faster paces, and I’m not fast enough, the midsole doesn’t feel a soft to me as a lot of the reviewers make out, it compresses but like it’s under tension, like it’s always ready to explode. Quite a different feeling to anything else I’ve used. I think the endorphin elite and adi pro 4 are heaps softer. For foam properties/squish I’d say it feels similar to zoom x but with more resistance. I’m 86kg for reference.
