SUPERBLAST 2
Marathon workhorse, but loud and clunky at slow paces.

Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
From personal experience 361 Degrees Eleos 2 Plus, Li-ning Red Hare 8 Pro will also work (9 Pro is reportedly more cushioned so you can choose that). Dynafish Xiaonian as well but they aren't for slow runs. Jury is still out on the 2000km 5.0 Pro because they're fairly new to me (current mileage is still at 39 km for jogging and walking) and the midsole is still pretty firm. All good though, forces you to work and not rely on the rocker and they seem to be ideal for faster paces.
Personally a huge fan of Superblast 2 and Gel Nimbus for long/recovery runs. Have had over 400miles on SB2 and they still feel new-ish albeit a bit less cushiony. Nimbus 27 feels great out of box and heavier so perfect for recovery. I also just bought a pair of Li-Ning Red Hare 8Pro for tempo - it’s marketed as a tempo/interval training shoes, and on my test runs, it feels light and a bit more aggressive so more suitable for speed workouts. And honestly at $50-80 a pair the foam sole does not look very durable (past 250 miles) to me but it could be a budget option.
Have the red hare pro 8. Its a nice shoe. I have a wide midfoot and it fits okay, toebox isn't too restrictive although it's shallow in height for me. I suspect most Chinese shoes are like that. Bmai carbon fly fits better for me on the midfoot
Honestly if you just want something cheap and versatile the Li Ning red hare 8 pro can be had for $35-50 delivered on TaoBao (it has an app and international shipping for a lot of international markets now) and it's a super versatile, bouncy and lightweight shoe that's miles better than these imo I've also heard great things about the puma velocity nitro 4 and it's apparently meant to be the best in class Amongst western brands.
Honestly get neither and go for a li ning red hare 8/9 pro. Arguably better than both and literally like $40 if you can be bothered to go through TaoBao
I wouldn't. It's not a super recent model and that isn't a super good price. For some people these really work but for others they're clunky and not enjoyable to run in. The plate also limits versatility somewhat. If you're just going to get one running shoe I'd go for a supertrainer or elevated daily trainer. Something like a Puma Velocity Nitro 4, Endorphin Azura, Vomero Plus, EVO SL or Asics Megablast (though the Megablast is stupid expensive). The VN4 is lower stack compared to the rest but still an awesome shoe, the vomero is a bit heavy, the Azura is a bit firm and the EVO is unstable. There's tradeoffs to all of them but I'd still say they're better all round compared to the zoom fly. If it were up to me I'd 100% go for something Chinese. The Dynafish Xiaonian is a complete no brainer for an everything shoe for 1/3 the price of a megablast which also makes it insane value. The Li Ning Red Hare 8/9 Pro is also a great lower stack option that's half the price of the Xiaonian. Both use full stacks of high end foam, no cheap EVA carrier layer like the Zoom Fly. If you can't get TaoBao in your region (it's in a surprising number of countries now) though just go for the western ones above. All are good shoes
Also if you're concerned about speed the EVO SL, Megablast and Xiaonian are the fastest, followed by the Li Ning RH8/9 Pro. The Azura is the most stable and the Vomero is the most 'comfortable'. Just whatever you do go to your local outlets or find the cheapest prices online. Most of these can be found on pretty big sales
The Xtep 2000km 5.0 pro is one of the only running shoes I've seen that advertises itself mainly as a durability focused shoe. It's also pretty cheap if you use TaoBao and it has a pretty responsive PEBA midsole with a super thick super durable outsole. Not the most exciting shoe but a really good versatile workhorse with enough bounce to step up the pace Also at least in Australia you can get the Li-Ning red hare 8/9 pro for about $55 delivered on TaoBao which is like 1/5 of the price of the superblast on sale. It's also meant to be pretty durable (you should be getting 300km+) so you're getting 1500km of use for the price of a discounted superblast. It's also a very good shoe with responsive PEBA foam and a pretty light weight, plus it goes to US14 which is rare for a Chinese brand. I just picked some up and they're unreal for the price.
Evo SL or Red Hare 8 pro. The latter being a great budget option while offering great quality. I was actually surprised how much quality you get from these given the low price tag.
I really enjoyed Boom fiber on my last few Li-Ning shoes. If you want a plated shoes you could try Li-Ning Feidian 5 Challenger since they're less than 1/2 price of any other model you listed. I'm running 12-16 km with them 4 days a week and they're GREAT. Best shoe i've ever used. I'm expecting to get over 1000km on them as they don't show any sign of wear at 300/400km. Red Hare 8 pro would also be a great choice. Don't get the non pro version, they're bad and unresponsive.
Easy/LR: Li-Ning Red Hare 8 Pro Inntervals/Tempo: Li-Ning Feidian 5 Challenger Race: Also Feidian 5 Challenger. Amazing shoes for 5/10K.
