Depends what you're looking for. Do you usually have any issues with stability? Do you prefer bounce or do you want something that is less responsive. Something like the Glideride Max and Red Hare 9 Ultra are both amazing long run shoes but they sit at complete opposite ends of the spectrum so it really depends on preference. The RH9U is an amazing shoe if you want incredible bounce and don't care about stability. The Superblast 3 is great (but expensive) if you want bounce (still noticeably less than the RH9U) and stability, or the Endorphin Azura if you want a firmer ride which is similar to your Endorphin Speeds. The Dynafish Xiaonian sits somewhere in the middle as a lightweight, fairly stable, smooth and bouncy shoe that is great for pretty much everything. It's my long run shoe and I love it If you don't want bounce the Qiaodan LH600 is specifically designed for slow, long runs while the Glideride and nimbus both do the relatively soft, low bounce thing well if you're never going to pick up the pace. Also shoutout the Mizuno Neo Vista 3, it's an absolute tank of a shoe if all you care about is shock absorption. No shoe touches it in that regard without an insane weight penalty
Oh dear.... Let's see what I can name from memory... 1. Track spikes 2. Carbon racers 3. Altra Vanish for speed days 4. Mizuno Vista for fast long runs 5. Asics Nimbus for cushioned easy runs (won these in a raffle) 6. New Balance something for cushioned easy runs (bought these because they're cute) 7. Topo Terraventure - favorite trail shoe 8. Saucony Peregrine - cute trail shoe 9. Altra Olympus, and 10. New Balance Leadville - trail shoes I just don't wear much but are in too good shape for me to toss 11. Saucony Endrophin, 12. Topo Specter, 13. Adidas Adizero - these were all the Boston themed shoes, and I wanted them all. I've only worn the Saucony so far. They're all tempo shoes. 14. Brooks Ghost - fun print, given to me as a gift. 15. Brooks Revel - Christmas pattern, so I save these for Christmas runs 16. Nike Zoom Fly - tempo, won these in a raffle 17. Altra Escalante Racer - don't love these, but they're small, so they're solid for when I'm traveling and need a shoe that doesn't take up space in a suitcase. 18. Altra Escalante - These has 355 miles, so I can probably toss them. Um. I have a problem...
I bought a few pairs of mizuno neovista in their Black Friday sale so I’ll be wearing those for most the year, they’re my long run shoe and anything a bit quicker they work for too, I love the rocker. I’m a big shoe nerd and working back up to 400k a month so have a fairly big rotation but tend to gravitate to the same ones. Generally use on cloudmonster if I wanna go real slow recovery, have old racers for track sessions/vo2 stuff, have some asics gt2000s I wear to work as my only black shoe and can get away with a small run in them too. (Don’t need stability shoes but I got gait analysis done too early- before I’d even developed any muscles to run- so now those will hurt my knees if I run more than 6/7k ish). I do think have two pairs, it’s better if you can give the foam a chance between runs if running daily, different drops will put the load on different parts to some extent- low drop= more lower leg, high drop more up to hips. For reviews check doctors of running not influencer based pages, and if you can- never buy a shoe full price. Everywhere has sales, and even if you want to support local- last years model is gonna be up to 50% cheaper.
Neo zen is otherworldly feeling. Like spring loaded marshmallows
Can confirm the bootie is the worst part of the Mizuno Neos. Mid sole is fun though.
