I'm 192cm and 95kg running mainly 1080 v12 but finding them totally flat after 300km which is quite to quick; I was expecting at least 500km from them. Considering to invest in Superblast 2 as the next main shoe, also I ordered Adidas Boston 12 to give a try. Not sure how v14 is better from 12 as 13 is way too soft for me as getting ankle pain
More v3, 1080v12, 1080v13 and love them all. Just bought another 1080v13 for $69.99.
I'm assuming that you are male as women have more options for wider shoes. I wear a Extra-Wide or 4E in the United States. I will buy 6E shoes if they are available. Some 4E shoes aren't wide enough for me and some are. I mainly wear the New Balance 1080 but some versions fit fine at my regular size and some I have to size up with. That is the fit can change with every version. What I do is follow a bunch of YouTube shoe reviewers and look at their comments on fit between versions and size accordingly. I've worn the New Balance 880 in the past but I find the 4E too narrow these days. The New Balance More is generous with width. My understanding is that it's harder to find Extra-Wide outside the United States but that may be an option if you have relatives here, travel to the US or can buy them and have them shipped to you. I've purchased tennis shoes from China before because they have a brand that makes 4E with a wide toebox and the price is really good. I have not found Chinese brands in Extra-Wide though. New Balance has Extra Wide in many of their daily trainers but only go up to Wide in their supershoes.
When the temp drops and slimy leaves are out Iāve been using Nike Pegasus 39 Shield. Those claiming the Pegasus trail are good for slippy tarmac donāt know what theyāre talking about. The Sole compound is different on those and designed for light gravel/ roots and is actually pretty and on wet tarmac I find (i run Pegasus trail 4 for off road). For context dry/ summer iām using NB 1080v12
I like to recommend Hokas as a good beginner runner shoe. They're versatile and have fun colors. I started off with the Hoka Clifton 9s for running 5k distances/easier runs. Eventually upgraded to the New Balance Fresh Foam 1080s for my half marathons and they've been my favorite race shoe so far!
I like to try different brands each time - I am pretty new to running so havenāt tried a ton. But a couple months ago I got the Saucony Endorphin Speed shoes and oh my god I LOVE them. Iāve also tried and liked (but not loved) New Balance fresh foam 1080s (good for easy training runs), ASICS Novablast 5 (another good daily trainer) but the Sauconys have blown the others out of the water. I can run a fast (for me!) 5k in them or run a long 10 miles in them. I love that they are light and also have some cushion. But they just feel so fast. Highly recommend! Also recommend going to a running store and having them evaluate your gait and give suggestions. Thatās how I got my Saucony shoes!
880s felt harder to me, which lead to foot pain i liked 1080s much better
Iām sold. Transitioned from New Balance 1080s to super blasts for my daily trainers. They are pricey but worth it.
I also deal with plantar fasciitis. Iāve run in New Balance 1080s for the last two years, and just switched to the Nike Vomero Plus. The Vomero Plusā feel fantastic; not too soft and not unstable but with plenty of bounce. I also take fish oil supplements and find that it helps my plantar fasciitis quite a bit.
