Try the Adidas Evo SL, it is fairly soft and bouncy. If you want the same sort of foam as in the More, go with the NB 1080. If you really just like the More, which is a fine shoe though very heavy and slow, try the new More v6. The new Asics Megablast may also work for you, it is softer than the Superblast. You could also try the Puma MagMax and Mizuno NeoVista2. In general I would go to a store and just try things on. Look for a shoe with a good stack height, no plate, and try in particular A-TPU. I would also suggest you try the Adidas Adizero Pro 4, which is a very soft foam, and has rods, not plates. You may not have the pain with just the rods. This is a less stable shoe though, so it may or may not work for you.
New Balance More v6, comfy kahit 6'30 pace ok lang pero more than that nakakapagod na. Isa pa, mabigat. 315g 9US (M) hindi ko pa naitakbo more than 5km pero susubukan ko next long run. Zero to non-noticeable drop kaya medyo awkward noong first run ko kasi nasanay ako sa >6mm drop shoes. Overall satisfied naman ako, pwedeng pang easy daily runs or recovery runs.
The new balance More v6 is a solid option. Standard width does feel wider than others, but very very comfy. I use this as a recovery run shoe when my legs are really beat up and it feels like running with memory foam pillows on my feet. It actually feels even more plush walking vs running in them.
Only shoes I use for casual wear, work (on feet job) and running (recovery runs) is the MORE V6.
New Balance More V6. These things have spoiled wearing any casual/fashion shoes for anything other than short bouts. The softest, most protective things I've ever used. Surprisingly good for recovery runs, too - a decent amount of bounce/energy return for the stack, considerably lighter than the likes of the Vomero Premium.
I have the MORE V6 and it's literally spoiled my ability to wear any non-running/casual shoes - the softness and comfort in the midsole is sublime. Yeah, they are heavy compared to a lot of running shoes (but actually not drastically for the sheer amount of foam), and absolutely no good for anything out of Z2 or low Z3 - but for what they are designed for, they do it very well.
New Balance More v6. And Mizuno's Neo Zen is great as well (though the Neo Vista is more versatile if you want it for easy + long steady runs).
Thanks, the More line generally seems ideal for me then. Most of the running shoes I own are light and bouncy (a bit too bouncy), the More v6 should be a good change for recovery-specific runs.
For me, New Balance Fresh Foam is the most plush foam out there. I've run in many versions of the 1080 and More series. More is one of my all time favorites. Ran an ultramarathon in them. You're correct about 1080 v13 and 14. 13 was definitely softer and overlapped too much with More. V15 is about to drop, but my understanding is it has been redesigned to be lighter and more energetic. I think More v6 will suit you well. It's stacked high to the sky and it's extremely plush. The ride is very stable and buttery smooth. My previous go to was Hoka Bondi. Bondi used to be the king. It's now a brick in comparison. There's nothing on the market that's quite like More.
I think finding a shoe with a lower heel drop might benefit you, take pressure off of your knee. Most Hoka’s are 5 mm except the Clifton, the NB More v 6 —4 mm, Topo Phantom 4 -4mm, Altra Flow 2/3 —4mm
Hi, I’m running the NYC Marathon in 5 weeks. I ran NYC back in 2018 with a finish time of 5:11 and Chicago in 2019 with a finish time of 5:40. I took a long time off from running after 2019. Plus there was a pandemic. I did some HM’s including Brooklyn, United Half, and Copenhagen. Last year, I was doing well but got a stress fracture. This year, I’ve been training but plantar fasciitis has made this training cycle very challenging including just feeling my age of 44. I’m having a difficult time finding a marathon shoe. I purchased the NB 1080 but I don’t think it’s right for a 4-5+ marathon. I did a 16-mile long run in the Brooks Glycerin Max and it went well. I purchased the Nike Vomero Plus and that wasn’t right so I took them back. Also, I just purchased the NB More V6 and they are ok. But I’m not sure just yet. Any suggestions for a 4-5+ hour marathoner shoe that is bouncy, cushioned? Nothing firm.
I also tried a lot of pairs, ended up with the NB More V6 and Vomero Plus. I enjoy the Vomero Plus a lot more and they also are very eye catching in terms of looks!
+1 sa Vomero plus. Madali pa hanapin and IMHO not much of a difference sa SB2 na overhyped na mahirap makabili sa pinas. Also, 1080 More v6 but more on easy pace talaga to.
