SUPERBLAST 2
Marathon workhorse, but loud and clunky at slow paces.

Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
Training runs - Superblast 3 Marathons - Alphafly 3 or Adios Pro 4 5k/10k race - Deviate Elites or Metaspeeds
Do you feel like you should be more forefoot strike for the alphafly? I definitely felt more push when i tried in store, but I know I wouldn't last long 😅
Alpha fly 3s. For me they are light weight, I love the upper and they just disappear on foot. I simply don’t think about or notice the shoe while running. For me, it really shines on the half marathon and farther because I can cruise at pace easily in them without much fighting while being able to pick up pace if needed, but I actually recently ran a 10k PR in them and they were excellent in the shorter distances too
2x EVO SL Boston 13 2x Endoephin Speed 4 Hoka Skyward x 3x ASICs Superblast 2 (2 pairs are EOL) 2x Vaporfly 3 (one for speed work. On for racing) 1x Alpha Fly 3 (distance racing) 1x Hoka Tectonic x2 for trails 1x Hoka Speedgoats for trails
I don't know. Maybe I speak from a place of privilege, but I have no issues finding shoes that work for me. Some of my favorite shoes (ASICS Superblasts and NIKE AF3 and VFs) are unisex. I have pretty narrow feet, too. I really don't know that there will be enough interest to make this financially sustainable for a shoe company, which will just mean an inferior product (crappier foams, uppers, plates) overall.
I rotate between 6-8 pairs, so I suggest getting at least two pairs. As far as what to suggest; running shoes are extremely personal. Everyone is different. I’ve been loving Adidas Adizero EVO SLs, ASICs Superblast 2s, Hoka Skyward X for those middle distance easy runs, Adidas Boston 13s for threshold work, Saucony Endorphin Speeds for threshold, and I also have a stable of race shoes (Nike Vaporflys, Alphaflys) for intervals and racing.
Don't blast them until you try them. I love my big stack shoes. My favorite long runs shoes are the ASICs Megablasts and Hoka Skyward X. I also love Adidas EVO SLs. Race shoes are Nike Vapor Flys, Alpha FLys, and Adidas Pro 4s.
I'm currently using Alphafly 3 for workouts/races and Megablast for daily/long. Thinking of replacing Megablast for Speed 5 as I run a lot of dirt roads/light trails and the mega feels a little high up for that. In addition the Mega upper hasn't been very comfy for me. If anyone has recs for the most leg saving, stable neutral, not crazy heavy trainer thats under 40mm let me know!
I really enjoy them as a heavy runner because they feel a little bit more stable than other plated shoes that I have tried (Alpha Fly 3s and Adidas Adios Pro 4s). They are very light and feel comfortable with the upper and toe box.
