I ran my first marathon in 4 hours 45 minutes in New balance 1080 v13. I highly recommend them. I tried the nike invincible 3 and novablast 4 in my long runs, but the 1080s were just perfect, comfortable and stable.

I have to disagree on this, my Achilles tendons do not like them. I've been using my Invincible 3's and ZF6's and it getting slower better, the problems occured after using the SB2 for longer runs.

No, not sure, maybe because I'm on the heavier side, fit but heavier for running, 90kg/220lbs. Next Tuesday I have an appointment with a physiotherapist, I'll bring my Invincible 3's and SB2's. Today I did an easy run on my ZF6, for the 2nd time, I still feel them, but it still feels like it is getting better.

The Invincibles are great shoes for long, easy miles in my opinion. I have over 500k of them and they still hold up. Left upper is coming loose a bit from the foam, but they still feel great. However, I am thinking about with what shoe to replace them.

6’1, 205 (was ~245 through training) my favourite daily trainers have been the triumph 21 (hated them at first but after ~50km they became my absolute favourite) still going strong 500kms in. I also enjoyed the Nike Invincible 3 (600kms in but they’re dead now)

I just got the Nike Invincible Run 3 for long training sessions. So far so good, but hard to tell because my quads and glutes have felt so cooked lately. I gotta get over this feeling, no pain, just heeeaaavvy upper legs

Nike invincible 3 from my experience, I love them for easy runs but over 10 mi, I start to feel it in my knees and ankles

r/RunningShoeGeeksInitial thoughts on Nike Vomero Plus after 3 runs
5 months ago

I purchased the Vomero 18 with high hopes, but had to shelf them. My calves and shins were so sore after each of three different 5k easy runs. I’ve heard such good things and really wanted to like them, but figured they just weren’t right for me. I have run in the Nike Invincible 3 for past couple of years and been very happy. My understanding is the Vomero Plus has replaced the Invincible. Is there any reason I should give these Vomero Plus a try if the Vomero 18 didn’t work for me?

Not OP but I have 135km in my Vomero Plus and I just lace them normally, but the only shoes I've had for do a heel lock lacing for is the Nike Invincible 3 and Puma Velocity 2

r/Marathon_TrainingDo I really need two pairs of shoes for marathon training?

I’m not fast by any means compared to this group 😂 I’m 40F and a 4 hour marathoner… but I ran most of my runs and my marathons in the Nike Invincible 3 and did my shorter runs and speed runs in the Saucony Ride 16. So depending on your goals carbon plated isn’t necessary, but I do think 2 pairs of shoes is helpful.

I’m exclusively Nike for road, race and trail currently. I currently rotate between invincible run 3s, peg 41s, vaporfly and Zegama 2s. I’m always open to other brands but they’re just what’s working well for me at the moment.

I loved the Nike Invincible 2, went through a few pairs of Vomero 17s and 18s, but these seemed so narrow they gave me a blister on the outside edge below my big toe that took a couple of weeks to heal. I've been too afraid to put them back on again!
