SUPERBLAST 2
Marathon workhorse, but loud and clunky at slow paces.

Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
I love my Vomero 17s! Prefer them over the 18s actually. Too bad I can't get them anymore. I should've bought a few pairs.
I'm not bringing much useful information here for you, but I ran my first two Marathons (4:26 and 3:58) about 8 weeks apart in the same pair of Nike Vomero 17s. They probably had like 300-400 miles on them at the time too, definitely not a fresh pair. They are still one of my favorite all time shoes for a daily trainer, but can't believe I did two fulls in them. But between not wanting to spend the cash and still being new to the hobby, i just figured why not If you take nothing else from my post, if you don't want carbons, you don't need em. Find a good pair that are comfortable and go smash it. Though, you're approaching those speeds where carbons would certainly help ya on race day
Vomero Plus, Superblast 2 or 3 (2 if you like a slightly firmer feel), Glycerin Max (1 not 2 if you can get it on sale), or Mount to Coast C1. All great long distance cruising shoes for bigger runners. I’m 6’3” 235 lbs.
Yup, go Vomero Plus.
Thanks for replies. Even more confused! Yeah as people said, reviews arent everything. Everyone loves the vomero plus, I thought they were awful
I retired a pair of Vomero 17s recently. I really liked them and was planning on replacing them with the Vomero Premium but I found the NB 1080s for $80 and couldn't pass them up.
Yep, Vomero Plus is the right answer! Love them for my long efforts.
What would be the issue with the regular Evo SL? It has a more breathable upper than the ATR. The Vomero Plus is a wonderful long run shoe but if you’re hot in the ATR, your feet will melt in the plus! It has a thicker upper and an especially built up tongue.
