Wow guess I got lucky then because mine lasted pretty long. But I definitely get what you are saying because the cloud surfer model I had started sagging after a while

Thank you also I should have clarified I run now and then throughout the week, but I like wearing the shoes out and about instead of having separate pairs. So I was hoping the shoe would be durable enough to handle walking out and about after my runs. But after I did more research, you are correct because many have said the foam used for the bottom half isn’t very durable. So it’s definitely a take off when not running, type of shoe

I work on my feet most of the day too (far less than what you describe) and my current daily riders are the ON Cloud 5 and Vans Ultrarange Exo.

On shoes for running are not very well received but for walking and regular life activities they are great, very comfortable. I have a few pairs of Cloud 6 and pair of Cloudtilts and they are probably my favorite shoes for doing regular things just not for exercising.

Okay well style is an incredibly personal thing, as is fitting shoes to your specific foot. On shoes in general but the Cloud 6 in particular look really dumb to me. I tried a pair of On for road running and hated both the aesthetics and the fit, but the feel underfoot was actually decent. I prefer a trail runner for travel (and trail running/hiking) but then again my aesthetic is more towards hiker/outdoor/not quite gorpcore. The only reasonable advice you need is to go to a proper running store and try on every single show that appeals to you. There are literally dozens of brands that are all making quality shoes these days, Nike and Adidas, Saucony, Asics, Salomon, Altra, Hoka, Brooks, New Balance, On even, etc etc etc. Get help from trained staff in finding the best fitting and feeling shoe that suits your style, tell them you plan to wear it for a long time with plenty of time on feet and some 10km runs thrown in. Brooks Ghost/Ghost Max comes in good cushion and black, norda 001/002/003 come in stealth black models for trail running, Nike does plenty of nice shoes in black colourways.

I have some Adizero Evo Sl Shoes which are quality. Best ones I've had Before that I had some on running cloud ones but I think I will stick with Adidas from now on

I’ve been running for the past 3 years, without any real goal or structure. Last year I got more serious about it and was recommended two pairs of running shoes. One of them was Cloud, which I used for a half marathon, and my right ankle was completely wrecked after the race. I also had a pair of Hyperion Max 3 from Brooks that I bought at the same time, but I used those for higher‑pace sessions. In December I got runner’s knee, and I’ve trained my way back to being able to run for 1 hour on a treadmill, but using some Asics shoes (Gel Phoenix) that don’t have as much drop as the Brooks shoes. Today I went for a run and only noticed towards the end that these Brooks shoes are extremely unstable for me. I’m also on the heavier side at 90 kg, so that might play a role in the assessment. Either way, I’m looking for a stable shoe. As you can see from the clip, I overpronate, and the instability goes first to the ankle, then up to the knee, and then to the hip. I need recommendations for other shoes I can use without injuring myself. Ideally i want to run a halvmarathon in september. Goal is 1:40. Last year i did 1:45. Thanks in advance.

I like the Cloud shoes, I had a tibia plateau fracture many years back and they help with the aches. But running shoes can be so expensive that now I always go into the running stores and ask what they have in clearance and grab that.
