I have the On cloud x 4 because they are geared towards HIIT workouts and I find my balance is better with them. I’m not a huuuge runner but I haven’t gotten shin splints with them which I used to get with ASICS.

I started OT trying to run in OnClouds X trainers. They caused me lots of pain in my feet. Went to a running shoe store, got professionally fitted and wound up with Altras. Also a half size up than I had ever worn. I now have 3 pairs and while not cheap, you can buy an older model to save $$ and not sacrifice comfort, or risk injury. It’s just not worth it to save money and hurt yourself.

I have some Adizero Evo Sl Shoes which are quality. Best ones I've had Before that I had some on running cloud ones but I think I will stick with Adidas from now on

I’ve been running for the past 3 years, without any real goal or structure. Last year I got more serious about it and was recommended two pairs of running shoes. One of them was Cloud, which I used for a half marathon, and my right ankle was completely wrecked after the race. I also had a pair of Hyperion Max 3 from Brooks that I bought at the same time, but I used those for higher‑pace sessions. In December I got runner’s knee, and I’ve trained my way back to being able to run for 1 hour on a treadmill, but using some Asics shoes (Gel Phoenix) that don’t have as much drop as the Brooks shoes. Today I went for a run and only noticed towards the end that these Brooks shoes are extremely unstable for me. I’m also on the heavier side at 90 kg, so that might play a role in the assessment. Either way, I’m looking for a stable shoe. As you can see from the clip, I overpronate, and the instability goes first to the ankle, then up to the knee, and then to the hip. I need recommendations for other shoes I can use without injuring myself. Ideally i want to run a halvmarathon in september. Goal is 1:40. Last year i did 1:45. Thanks in advance.

I like the Cloud shoes, I had a tibia plateau fracture many years back and they help with the aches. But running shoes can be so expensive that now I always go into the running stores and ask what they have in clearance and grab that.

Neither because I’ve tried both for running and they don’t work well for me. You need to go to a store and try stuff out.

On Cloud! It’s the only show that works for me. I also have a wide midfoot. Hoka’s run too narrow.
