r/ehlersdanlosMost comfortable shoes for stability and overpronation?

Agree, on cloud shoes, very stable shoe, I have the on cloud flyer, I did have to add an angled wedge to prevent my ankle rolling as far due to high arches but the support in the shoe is much better than my previous asics.

First: the Cloudflyer 5 is firm, not only firm its almost hard. Its one of the firmest shoes on the market and I do know no person who would run in them. And its only stable because its firm... Still not nearly as stable as for example a Brooks Adrenalin GTS I Sold them once for running, cuz the customer wanted them so badly, 3 weeks later he purchased another pair, agreeing He should have listen to me that its too firm. Second: the Cloudrunner 2 is one of the few good ON shoes. Its moderately stable and one of the ON shoes that can do everything, also one of the few ON shoes which is not absurdly overpriced. It sits at a some what correct price point. Third: from the pictures its not visible if you overpronate or not. But you dont look bad without shoes. Dont ask Chatgpt for such things I had already multiple customer who made research with Chatgpt and it adviced a worse model almost every time. Dont over think it, you made not a bad purchase, ON is just a very special brand which often get smiled on, or talked down, for good reasons often. But you purchased one of the good shoes from that brand.

r/runninglifestyleWould you buy Hokas or Clouds for running shoes, and why?

Neither because I’ve tried both for running and they don’t work well for me. You need to go to a store and try stuff out.

On Cloud! It’s the only show that works for me. I also have a wide midfoot. Hoka’s run too narrow.

I'm currently running with On Clouds. My feet often get wet during nearly every run, so I'm now exploring waterproof Hoka shoes. I haven't tried Hoka before, but if anyone has experience with the Transport or GTX models, I’d appreciate their insights.

r/XXRunningWhat shoes do you wear for a half marathon and/or marathons?

Which endorphin speeds are the best to buy? I just ran my first half marathon recently I run about 2:20 and I run daily in on clouds but I just feel like after running in them for a few weeks they slreasy start to feel worn. I want a good race day shoe since as I’m getting better I want to improve. I saw the 4s and 5s but for some reason they show the 4 to be more expensive. What do u recommend?

r/XXRunningWhat’s your personal process for testing out new running shoes?

I try to buy my shoes from REI whenever possible. You can return them up to a year, even worn, if you're a member. It's well worth it to be able to actually do some runs in them before making the call. They resell the used returns in store at a discount. If I am buying from my local running store, I try to test them on a treadmill, even though I loathe treadmill running. So far, the only shoes in my collection that I don't like are the on clouds I bought online without being able to test them.
