SUPERBLAST 2
Marathon workhorse, but loud and clunky at slow paces.

Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
I retire mine at 300 miles, but based on wear pattern and feel, I could take them closer to 400. I'm just ready for a new shoe by 300 miles so I retire everything there except race shoes. I'm on my third pair of Hypers currently.
This might be a wildcard, but I keep going back to the On Cloudmonster Hypers. I’ve only tried the originals, not sure about the new 3 model. I think these shoes are so underrated, they don’t have a plate (& no nylon speed board or anything) but there’s SO much energy return in just the foam. I wear them for almost all of my long runs and tempo work, and recently have been using them for shorter speed work and they’ve felt great. They have a wider base so they’re good for people who need a traditional stability shoe - I’ve heard Saucony in general tends to be pretty narrow. The downside is that they’re pretty expensive for what they are, but you can find the original model on sale at outlet stores. Would highly recommend checking out!
I would try a wide and go based on whether that feels better. Fleet Feet told me I’m a C width, but my 5th metatarsal tuberosity sticks out very far on one foot and my foot goes numb in anything narrower than men’s wides. (My problem spot is super similar to yours, but is about where the N is on your New Balance photo.) A wide will likely help with your hot spot, but you need to make sure it doesn’t make the rest of the shoe fit sloppily. Alternatively, you might find a medium-width shoe without much of a sidewall will work. The On Cloudmonster Hyper (the original one, haven’t tried the 3) is my most comfortable shoe at the moment and doesn’t come in wide. Really, ignore what the shoe store says and just try whatever you can on.
On is outclassed by every other brand across the board. I only have the cloudmonster hyper because of a deep discount. It is definitely not worth Msrp
Vomero premium and Saucony Hurricane. Rotate between the two. Cloudmonster hyper 3 is also great with low drop and stable.
No, I do not have one pair of shoes. I swap shoes to avoid getting blisters. My current rotation during this training block: * 361 Flame 4 * Adidas EVO SL (I have two pairs that I'm cycling through; one is black with white stripes and another that is jade mint colorway) * Adidas Adios Pro 4 (2025 Race Shoe) * Hoka Cielo X1 2.0 (2025 Race Shoe) * On Cloudmonster Hyper (I phased this out of my rotation during this training block) * Puma MagMax Nitro (I phased this out of my rotation during this training block) * New Balance FuelCell Rebel V4 (will probably be retired soon; has a lot of mileage and the foam isn't responding how I think it should) * Brooks Glycerin Max Right now, I'm trying to figure out if I am going to run my upcoming race with the 361 Flame 4 or the Adidas Adios Pro 4. Or sleeper choice that I'm still waiting to arrive from China which is the Li-Ning Feidian 6 ELITE. EDIT: I forgot to add that the On Cloudboom Max which I used for a 2025 5K but did not like as a race shoe got turned into a recovery shoe.
