Saucony triumph 23 very well padded wide size availabile, Saucony ride 19 is similar but softer very wide base and stable for easy run . Saucony azura more bouncy, rockered, tempo run. On Cloudmonster 3 Hyper bouncy, more protective than azura, more expensive. puma magmax nitro 2 most stable most protective, bulky, puma magmax nitro 1 is more firm and more rockered but tighter at midfoot and on sale now. Both are for easy runs. Nitro 1 more tempo run. Asics superblast 2 light , most breathable, do it all Last is Salomon aero glide 3, very protective, firm, stable, bouncy, non rockered great for easy runs . For dedicated stability shoes Saucony hurricane 25 and brooks adrenaline gts 25
Man everyone seems to love this shoe. I put a good 60 miles in them and did not feel the bounce everyone talks about. Just felt like a heavy brick to me… I’m a 130lb runner. Maybe my weight is the issue? My HR was always higher in them and my legs felt tired quicker. Couldn’t even get up to tempo pace without feeling like I was sprinting. I ended up selling them and the only other pair of shoes I sold early was the On Cloudmonster…
Highly recommend a high cushion. I started with Nike vomero but price jumped up so last 2 years cloudmonster from on is more affordable. I was 50 lbs more when I first started running 15 years ago and I had arthritis in knees
Personal experience: I have hoka speedgoat for winter and on cloud monster for summer. These are my preferred shoes. Before on it was Nike voromo for summer and Nike trail but I like these better. New Balance road runner gives blisters on arch of foot where sole is tethered on inner sole and New Balance fuel cells bottoms wear off too quickly from abrasion from road/ track.
On cloudmonster are actually pretty good and generally well reviewed.
The on cloudtilt is not a running shoe. It’s a casual shoe. If you’re getting a pair of on shoes specifically then I’d say On cloudmonster. Those are very good and I actually recommend those to new runners. Cushy enough, responsive enough, stable enough and actually durable enough.
I have 2 pairs. One GTX one Regular. They are just okay. If you have to have On shoes, they are the ones to get. There are much better options from almost every other brand and they are cheaper and last longer too.
I haven’t tried cloudrunner, but they look a little tall to me for running. I have some cloudmonsters I like, but not for running.
