I had On Cloudrunner 2022 for a while, as it is quite roomy and also looks good for a long-haul flight, but really heavy when it comes to running, as it does not provide any sort of bounce, but also does not feel firm at the same time. So after a year of on-and-off running, I decided to splash on Superblast 2, as it is the only shoe at that can cater to my splayfeet problem. At first, it was so slappy and too firm, even with my heavier weight for my height (178cm, 85kg), but slowly turns into my favourite shoe for running. After maybe 30km (4th run with the shoe), the bounce is there and really noticeable. I also have completed some long runs as well, which I have never done before (I usually only run 10km at max) and I feel fine thereafter. If you are confused of the sheer amount of the shoes release nowadays, I’m with you as well. I usually watch some reviews with beginners in mind such as Aubrey from “Bigger Than Running”, so that I limit myself before going too deep into the rabbit hole of running shoes. To limit yourself further, make sure to have a specific budget for a running shoe, so you can narrow your choices.

Hi! Im a 23 year old woman who has been running consistently for around 5/6 years. Ive run a few marathons and a few ultras as well as a ton of half marathons, 5ks, 10ks, short trail races, etc. When it comes to shoes I am not picky, ive had good luck with tons of different shoes. Im just wondering if there are any brands/models that are know for lasting longer. Im a broke med student and I feel like so many of my shoes get worn out very quickly, granted I live in a very snowy wet area and run through the winter. For reference im a slow runner (my marathon PR is barely sub 4, I run like a 1:49 half, and around a 22:30 5k). I am not injury prone, the only running injury ive had was some minor IT band pain one time when I accidentally wore a pair of shoes for 800+ miles. I have very high arches but they havent caused issues and I dont usually wear stability shoes. Shoes ive worn and liked: Brooks glycerin Hoka arahi (a few years ago, i dont like the current model) Hoka mach 5/6/and X Saucony kinvara Brooks ghost Brooks cascadia (my current trail shoes) Saucony ride Saucony glide On cloud runners (these were like 6 years ago though) Hoka speedgoat Tbh ive had great luck with all of these. Ive never really had blisters except for one time on a 20 miler in a downpour and one blister during a 50 mile trail race. Im really just trying to find a pair of shoes to try that will last longer than 400 miles. I will also add that im currently training for my 4th marathon and a 50k trail race. I do also wear my trail shoes for hiking since I cant stand hiking boots. I do have narrow feet so occasionally ive had some brands that are just too wide for me. Id really appreciate any recommendations!

I purchased some on cloud cloudrunners for walking last year and start to feel weird pinched muscles in my buttocks and leg when I would walk in them. Started to think they were too soft of a platform to run/walk in. I’d move to my New Balances and the pinched feeling would immediately go away while walking running. Thus search for a new shoe…

I have narrow feet but my toes do spread during my run. I have used: Mizuno (Wave Rider, neo zen), Saucony (Rides, endorphin speeds), NB (rebal), On (cloud Stratus) I tried but didn't like: Brooks, Hoka, On (Cloud runner and monster) So ... Go try them. Better if you can find events and run in them for a 5km or so.

I’ve been running for the past 3 years, without any real goal or structure. Last year I got more serious about it and was recommended two pairs of running shoes. One of them was Cloud, which I used for a half marathon, and my right ankle was completely wrecked after the race. I also had a pair of Hyperion Max 3 from Brooks that I bought at the same time, but I used those for higher‑pace sessions. In December I got runner’s knee, and I’ve trained my way back to being able to run for 1 hour on a treadmill, but using some Asics shoes (Gel Phoenix) that don’t have as much drop as the Brooks shoes. Today I went for a run and only noticed towards the end that these Brooks shoes are extremely unstable for me. I’m also on the heavier side at 90 kg, so that might play a role in the assessment. Either way, I’m looking for a stable shoe. As you can see from the clip, I overpronate, and the instability goes first to the ankle, then up to the knee, and then to the hip. I need recommendations for other shoes I can use without injuring myself. Ideally i want to run a halvmarathon in september. Goal is 1:40. Last year i did 1:45. Thanks in advance.

I like the Cloud shoes, I had a tibia plateau fracture many years back and they help with the aches. But running shoes can be so expensive that now I always go into the running stores and ask what they have in clearance and grab that.
