SUPERBLAST 2
Marathon workhorse, but loud and clunky at slow paces.

Same happened here. Reassuring to read, since I thought the shoes could have caused it but didn’t know. Had about 270 miles on them but ran without rotating my shoes as much as I should have and think the foam just had its time. What has helped you recover? Currently ankle and foot strengthening with bands every day and wearing superblasts and on cloud surfer max which I like.
I like cloudsurfer max or the original cloudeclipse a lot. Super breathable upper
Novablast 3 4 5 all are phenomenal daily trainers, but lacks good grip. Getting a TR, the trail version would solve that issue. All are good choices, but if you want a cushioned easy ride that lasts a long time, On Cloudeclipse was a big surprise for me. 1st pair lasted 500 miles, and is still super plush as walking shoes. Now I'm on my 2nd pair I grabbed as they are discounted. They decided to update it as Cloudsurfer Max, which looks amazing, but feels totally different, so don't be fooled.
On Cloudeclipse was the most surprising shoe I've ever had. Very very plush, and very durable. Base is very square and wide so it's stable. I wore my first pair to 500 miles with no degrading at all on the upper. Outsole is still fine. Walking in them is still superbly plush. I have a second pair I got on big discount. They don't have pink, but you might be able to still find the orange salmon looking color which is very nice. On has replaced the line with Cloudsurfer Max this year, and it looks amazing. However, it is sooo much firmer than the Cloudeclipse and is a very different shoe imo, so do not get those.
Don’t get super trainers for walking and running. They are specialized tools for marathon training and training for the racing shoes. If you need a running shoe for all day and all round use, go for the asics gel nimbus 28 or asics glideride max 2 (if you want a feel similar to the superblast). My recommendations are just as durable as anything you could find in the running shoe market. On running shoes are fine but it depends on your weight. Durability of the on cloudsurfer max isn’t good from my experience
Wow guess I got lucky then because mine lasted pretty long. But I definitely get what you are saying because the cloud surfer model I had started sagging after a while
Thank you also I should have clarified I run now and then throughout the week, but I like wearing the shoes out and about instead of having separate pairs. So I was hoping the shoe would be durable enough to handle walking out and about after my runs. But after I did more research, you are correct because many have said the foam used for the bottom half isn’t very durable. So it’s definitely a take off when not running, type of shoe
I got the On Cloudsurfer for the very same use case, have been very satisfied. I like the style, very comfortable for walking and wearing, and for running they are quite multi-purpose. The downside is the price point but can be motivated by the fact that this is the running shoe I put most hours in (not actual running hours though).
