Puma foreverrun 2 has been treating me very very good when it comes to stability while having just a good amount of cushion. I tried the Nike structure 26 and it was not a good experience for me for a stability shoe so I looked for something with a bit more cushion. I haven’t tried the hurricane, structure 2, or kayano but the pumas have really good reviews
I haven’t had much experience with shoes since I just started running so I haven’t tried the older version of the shoe. The 2 has treated me really well but I can’t compare to anything else really
The Foreverrun 2 is wider and stable and really versatile. You can get it for about £80 now. I also wear Topos so I know my width...
Puma ForeverRun 2. Stability shoe, but very subtle guidance. Puma MagMax 1/2. Neutral, but very stable.
2nd the puma’s. Really great and versatile shoe. Great support, cushion, bounce, and durability.
This. Just bought the ForeverRun Nitro 2 due to me slipping all over the shop in my New Balance 860 V14s. They fit lovely, not too narrow at all. All the hype around PumaGrip is true, I’ve never run in such a grippy shoe!
90kg here. Hurricane 25 is best for me. Magnificent shoes. Forever run 2 also very good.
I'm flat footed and heavy. Overpronation is also my problem. Got the forever run 2 which has mild stability characteristics then slapped some some insoles from new balance. That did the trick for me. Magmax also, i put some mild stability insoles. My feet, ankles and knees tried to kiss me after the jog.
Imho, the forever run 2 is better than the magmax. Have both and the former is an amazing shoe. Very underated.
If stability is an issue, the foreverun 2 is perfect. I have the trifecta attribute for a runner, 5'5", 90 kilos and flat feet. The F2s are a Godsend.
There aren't too many stability performance shoes on the market. Two options are Saucony Tempus 2 and Puma Foreverrun Nitro 2. Both are versatile and capable of picking up the pace. I set a couple of PRs running in Saucs. If your pronation is mild, you can also check out some stable neutral models. Although the Asics Superblast 2 is a neutral model, it runs like a stable neutral shoe to me. The wide sole flaring and raised sidewalls provide adequate guidance. Inspires, Tempus, and Foreverrun don't even come close to the Superblast's performance level.
Saucony Tempus, as others said, but unfortunately it will go out of the US market after the Tempus 2 (Tempus 3 is now a China-exclusive shoe.) Puma ForeverRun Nitro 2 is also decently "fun" thanks to the supercritical Nitro foam.
