Marathon workhorse, but loud and clunky at slow paces.

I love my Azuras, have really wide feet and they do great. I use currex sports in all my shoes for my high arch but as for the shoes they feel good on my easy runs but let me pick it up on my tempos
I’m a very similar runner to you pace-wise and stability-wise. I’m running in the Asics SB3 and Saucony Azura after also searching for a HM shoe (brooks glycerin GTS for marathon training/long runs). Loving them both! The asics are much softer compared to the firmness of the Azura so it may be a personal preference as well. Good luck!
I didn’t think about it at first, and I usually prefer narrow shoes, but my pinky toe still hurts after wearing them a few times.
I had the opposite experience with them, they were very uncomfortable and caused calf issues. Sadly had to return after 40mi of struggles:(
6'6", 205lbs. I love the Saucony Azura. They're firm and supportive while still providing adequate cushioning and solid energy return(i'll defer to the testing on that one). The best compliment I can give them is that I simply dont think about my shoes when I am out for a run, which is very rare for us bigger guys in a world that is moving ever softer underfoot. I dont mind the toe rocker, but its worth calling out that its fairly aggressive, so either try them in store or order from somewhere you can return if you dont get along with it. I tried the Evo SL and the Rebel V5 and neither worked well for a heavier runner. Evo SL were horribly unstable, and the Rebel V5 was so soft in the heel that it felt like I was running with midsole "rise" instead of drop. It cooked my calves.
Saucony Endorphin Azura! It’s amazing.
Puma magnify and magmax, Saucony Endorphin Azura (just came out), Novablast 5, Hoka Mach 6, (narrow foot friendly for sure), Tyr Maverick V1 are all lighter and protective but not mushy from my personal experience/research. The 1080v13 and v14 is also my go to casual/walking shoe and they increased the weight quite a bit from one to the other. But even then the 13 was a bit of a slog for me. I think modern trainers have the ability to pick up the pace and protect you on slower runs as well.
