I use the Saucony endorphin shift 3 for very slow paces , they are very supportive and not mushy/squishy given their stack.
I'm about almost exactly the save as you and would echo your sentiments re: the Evo SL and the SB2's. Ideal 2 shoe combo for me. Only difference is I use the SL's for speed/tempo work and alternate between the Saucony Tempus and the NB Rebel v4's for my daily. Recovery shoes are the Saucony Shift 3.
Glad you asked. I just started running again 6 months ago. We are same height and weight too. I’m 48. My last 10k I ran was also a 54 min effort. Here is my rotation: Fast tempo runs and intervals: Brooks Hyperion 2 and some old Saucony Endorphin Pro 1’s. These are lower stack and lower to the ground and light weight and fast. Perfect for fast efforts under a 10-15k max distance. I’m going to get a pair of the Hoka Mach X2 for this category as well. My everyday runners for most of my regular runs: I have two pairs of Saucony Endorphin Shift 3’s and a pair of TYR Valkyrie Speedworks. I had a pair of Salomon Aero Glide 3’s that fit this category as well. Those were some really fun soft daily trainers—the Salomon’s that is. I’ve got a pair of Adidas SL2’s that will fall into this category on the way from the current Adidas sale that’s going on. For my long runs over 10 miles or for my slower recovery runs: SuperBlast 2 and I had a pair of Brooks Triumph 22’s, but I’m going to be getting a pair of the Hoka Mach X2’s that I will use in this category as well possibly. Also the Puma MagMax Nitro is on my radar. I also just bought a pair of the Adidas Supernova Prima to try for this long run category as well. When I started running 6 months ago I was running in a pair of the Brooks Glycerine 21’s and did every run in them. They were fine for that but once I started adding some different shoes into the mix I started learning the value of having a shoe rotation. Jump on YouTube and find a guy named Yowana. He’s a pretty sharp guy who runs a lot (100+ miles a week) who has a knack for doing good shoe reviews and he’s also interesting to listen to him talk so I suggest finding his channel and checking out some of his shoe reviews. He’s a wealth of running shoe knowledge and experience.
I have been using the Prime X or Prime X Strung for my 16+ mile runs the past few years, which are all at least a steady effort. Sometimes I'll use a retired race shoe (Deviate Elite 1, Alphafly 1) for runs with marathon pace, but the Prime X can also handle it. It mostly a comfort thing for me. It is just nice to not have my feet hurt at the end of the run. Prior to the Prime X I used Atreyu The Artist and the Endorphin Shift 1 prior to that. Those models don't exist anymore and I didn't find their successors as comfortable over long runs, so I have been using the Prime X for 3 years now. Not sure what I will use when I finally wear those out. Would like to try out the Evo SL and see if that works.
So, I'm not at 93kg presently, but used to be. What I've found is that shoes that are FIRM to most people are actually really nice if you've got weight to put force into the midsole. With the additional benefit that shoes that don't start out super springy and cushioned to most folks have less to lose over the life of the shoe and lasted me longer when I was at 95kg. I LOVED the shift 3 for that reason (and also, shoes that had enough cushioning for me usually came with a hefty weight penalty in the upper construction -- which the shift didn't) So, with that in mind, I'd look at shoes most of the shoe reviewers are complaining about being too firm. There's probably some winners in there! Off the top of my head: Triumph 22, Brooks ghost max, Boston 12. Also, if a shoe starts out feeling really firm. My experience was that after 30-40 miles, it broke in and was good for at least another 200-250 miles.
They’re my favorite! Coming out with a new version soon that’s lighter too.
I personally love Hoka Mach or Saucony PWR Run. I always size up (half to full size) than my normal shoe size as your feet tend to swell during runs. Everyone raves about Brooks but their shoes gave my shin splints and didn’t provide support. I recently discovered Mount to Coast R1 shoes and I LOVE them
zoom fly 5’s are super comfortable by nike standards. saucony endorphin are also legit imo, but your feet will hurt regardless if you’re new to outdoor running lol
