Easy/recovery: Mizuno Neo Zen Daily: Adidas Evo SL / Saucony Tempus / Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 (end of life) Long run: Saucony Kinvara Pro / Evo SL Tempo / Threshold: Adidas Boston 12 / Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 / Evo SL Race: New Balance Elite V4 (long distance, would prob use Pro4 for shorter distances for more pop) Trail / wet weather: missing in my rotation.. guess I'll have to buy more running shoes

Mach X 2. Probably my favorite shoe of all time. Also, Kinvara Pro is really nice for slow and long efforts. One of the most stable and protective shoes I’ve worn.

Saucony Kinvara Pro: performance (not top performance, though), with lots of stability and comfort.

I run through a metric ton of shoes and I think people make too big of a deal out of which shoes to choose. Have a few trusted models that you know fit you well and just hunt for whatever is on sale. Personally Boston 13 and EVO SL are my go to for everything, and Boston 12 and saucony kinvara are the only shoes I’d say absolutely fucking sucked. But otherwise I’ll run in whatever.

Saucony for me, there shoes just seem to be right for me. Endo speed, Endo Pro and Triumph are all favourites. And kinvaras have also been favourite of mine

This. I'm a multi-time Boston qualifier (and finisher). I've never used carbon shoes. I run my marathons faster than 4 min/km and the carbon shoe advantage barely starts at that pace. Save your money. Get good training shoes. I love racing and training in Saucony Endorphin Speeds, which do have a nylon plate, but they're an affordable shoe. For long runs in recent builds I've used Hoka Rincon, Adidas Adizero, and Saucony Kinvara, all bought on clearance, all great shoes.

You can save a lot of money by buying last year's shoes. E.g. one of my favourite shoes are Saucony Kinvaras and there's a local store selling last year's for $80.

Take a look at Saucony. Most of their road shoes have a decent tread that could easily handle occasional off-road use. For years I wore the Kinvara on trails in the PNW
