SUPERBLAST 2
Marathon workhorse, but loud and clunky at slow paces.

I have had very good experiences with Triumph, I had versions 17, 19, 21 and I was very satisfied with all of them, I currently have over 1000 km on the 23 and I am slowly looking at the 24, which has very good reviews, it has top-notch ATPU foam, it could be a gamechanger, definitely check out that shoe
I just got mine delivered an hour ago, so I can't directly comment on the c1 just yet, but I have arthritis in my big toe (hallux rigidus) on one foot, so my easy/recovery shoes have to have a firm ride. I've tried on several shoes that were comfortable and a good fit (Vomero, 1080) but had a soft sole and they immediately bothered my arthritic toe. I just ran a 50mi race in the H1 without any issue so that sold me on getting the C1. I used to wear Glycerines but the new models don't fit as well as they used to. The regs are too narrow in the forefoot for me and the wides are a little too wide for me in the midfoot. C1s are replacing my Saucony Triumphs (in wide), which have been great, but is a slow shoe.
You’d be surprised by the saucony triumph, and you’ll see how underrated they are. They’re the best I’ve worn.. Also, Newblanace 1080 v14..
You'll make it worse by not wearing shoes with correct width (although I am not a doctor so please take this with a grain of salt). What I know about bunions from Orthos I have spoken to is the taper (or pointy-ness) of the toe box in the shoe is what causes it, because it squeezes your toe joints together. The Tailor's bunion is a little more uncommon. If you are liking the Rebel it comes in a wide width which might be worth a try (again wide, but not wide). Other shoes that come to mind that are soft and fit slightly wider would be Saucony Triumphs, Altra FWD Via, Mizuno Neo Vista v2 (these have a weird upper, I would def try them on).
Saucony for me, there shoes just seem to be right for me. Endo speed, Endo Pro and Triumph are all favourites. And kinvaras have also been favourite of mine
My go to for ultra distance road runs are, Tarkine Auto Pilot, Saucony Triumph or Brooks Glycerin
I’ve got 3x pairs of Evo SL (1x is ATR version). Personally I love them as a daily. I’ve previously used Saucony Triumph, NB 1080’s etc. Given you can pick up a pair for £80 currently I think it’s a solid option if you like to go a bit quicker.
I was going to go along these lines also. I’ve got a pair of Triumphs & whilst they are a decent long run easy shoe, they aren’t for tempo/speed efforts (I’ve done a couple as I was away from home & that’s all I had). I’ve previously had Glycerin, Hyperion Tempo, Bostons also plus a number of other brands/types. Then I got a pair of Evo SL’s…and since I bought 2 more pairs (one is the ATR version). They are fab for any speed efforts but also for long runs. I know not everyone will agree but they are popular for a reason. They are also decent value.
