I'm at 206lbs. I put 800 miles on a pair of saucony triumph 20's as I went from 320lbs to 215lbs and they still have life. I'm currently using a pair of Triumph 22's with 350 miles and a pair of ES5 with just under 100 miles. I don't see a need to replace either soon.
Heavier runner here - I use retired running shoes for gym (currently Saucony Truimph 19s). Still very comfortable in the upper, and more than enough cushioning for a treadmill, but they're slightly firmer (having done 400km) so they're not too bad for lifting (far from ideal obviously). You could pick some up off ebay/vinted if you're not opposed to second hand
Same boat. Here are the best after extensive trials: Salomon aero glide 3 (grvl more durable) Saucony triumph 21 (hard to get) Adizero Evo SL Adizero SL 2 Saucony endorphin speed 3
Hi everyone, I’m a 28M, 62kg runner training for a sub-4:50 marathon (current PB 2:57). I have **very wide feet** and need help picking a race day shoe. The Context: I ran my last marathon in the Saucony Endorphin Elite v1 (EU 43) and absolutely loved them. The wide base and aggressive mechanical "pop" were perfect for me. Unfortunately, my pair has 350km+ and I fear it will be dead by race day. I cannot find a fresh pair of v1s in my size anywhere in Europe. To give you an idea of my foot shape, here is what works and what failed: * ✅ **Saucony Endorphin Elite v1 (EU 43):** Perfect fit. * ✅ **Adidas Adizero Evo SL (EU 43 1/3):** Fits great (wide toe box); Also **Adizero SL2** same size * ✅ **Saucony Triumph 21 (EU 42.5):** Good fit. * ❌ **Adidas Boston 12:** I had to return these. Even sizing up, they were painfully narrow for my midfoot/toes. The Dilemma / Current Options: I am looking for a shoe that can handle 3:47/km (6:05/mile) pace without crushing my feet. 1. **Saucony Endorphin Elite 2:** This seems like the logical successor, but I keep reading that the toe box is more tapered/pointy than the v1. Since the v1 was perfect, I’m terrified the v2 will crush my pinky toe at km 30. Does it actually feel narrower? I can't find them in any store to try them out. Also afraid it is way too soft 2. **New Balance SC Elite v5:** I know this is wide-foot friendly (especially the 2E option), but I’m worried about the "pop." The Elite v1 was aggressive and firm. Is the v5 snappy enough for a sub-2:40 effort, or is it too soft/mushy? (i know Alex Yee used this shoe...) 3. **Adidas Adios Pro 4:** Since I fit (& love) the Evo SL, I’m tempted. BUT, given that I hated the Boston 12 width, is the AP4 a lost cause? Is it narrower than the Boston 12? Has anyone with wide feet made the switch from Elite v1 to Elite v2 or SC Elite v5? Thanks!
Saucony for me, completed my first marathon in ES4's and did my first 50km yesterday in Triumph21's both times my feet held up really well. Not to mention I love my EP2's and just bought some Endorphin elite 2's
I run 50k plus atleast once a month, favourite long run shoe is Tarkine Autopilot or Triumph 21. I have done 50ks in Novablast 5 and they also worked well
Saucony for me, there shoes just seem to be right for me. Endo speed, Endo Pro and Triumph are all favourites. And kinvaras have also been favourite of mine
My go to for ultra distance road runs are, Tarkine Auto Pilot, Saucony Triumph or Brooks Glycerin
The Triumph 21 was so good. Not in a "wow these are exciting!" way, but in a "I can just put them on and not think about it no matter how many miles I do or don't run" kind of way. Just never had a shoe quite like that. It just chewed up miles. The Triumph 23 is fine, but doesn't disappear on my feet quite like the 21 did. The Vomero 18 is sliding into its place in my rotation lately.
Did a bit over 400 on my 21s. They're not totally retired, but are losing their magic a bit. I'm 200-ish pounds and run fast for my size, so they've had hard use. I know people tend to get more out of them usually, but I'm just one of those whose style is hard on shoes. My 23s are still new - just got them a few weeks ago, but haven't been out much since I got them due to being sick and nursing an angry hammy. Only have like 10mi on them so far.
21 is PWRRUN+ vs the new PRRUN PB, - just feels a bit different overall, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Though it's a bit tough to do apples-to-apples since my 21s have so many miles and it's tough to recall exactly how they felt when they were brand new. But overall, I'd say the 21 had a bit more "plush" feel to them, which I now get out of my Vomero 18s. The Triumph 23 is more responsive, so I think will be better for when I'm after a bit faster pace.
I'm down to 195 from 210 a few months ago - but run fast paces for my size. The Saucony Triumph 21 was my GOAT daily trainer, but the 22 and 23 just weren't the same. RAD UFO, Vomero 18 and Vomero+ are my current go-tos (in that order). All three have been very, very good to me so far.
It definitely changes from generation to generation with them for me. The Triumph 21 is my GOAT daily but they haven't recaptured that magic with the subsequent models. But for my feet, the one thing I can always count in is Saucony is going to fit and feel great on my foot.
Triumph 21 was my GOAT - didn't find the 22 or 23 to have the same magic. Current daily rotation for every day runs is Vomero 18 and RAD UFO. Vomero+ is great also, I just find myself reaching for the 18s more.

You're on the right path. The Ride is a great shoe. I prefer the Triumph, but if you can't find them on sale, the Ride does a very similar job. Out of your list, the only other one I've tried and jived with is the Vomero 18, which is one of my absolute favorites.
I PR'd my second marathon yesterday by 32 minutes in Saucony Triump 21 Runshields because it was forecast to pour rain for more than half the race. I was planning on running this race in Saucony Endorphin Speed 5s if it were dry weather. My first marathon was in Vaporfly 3s and I experienced the same foot fatigue it sounds like you did. I don't think I'll race any distance longer than a half marathon in them.
