# [Under $300](https://amzn.to/48R0G4J) Generally speaking, I think its rare you find a great robot at this price, and I've discussed why there's some sense in [not spending the money on real discount robots](https://www.whatrobotvacuumshouldiget.com/2025/06/20/are-budget-robot-vacuums-worth-buying/). Still... there are a few gems worth looking at, as more expensive models drop under this threshold. *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* If you're more concerned about a mop, get the 3i. (its great at both, to be clear, but it has the best mop of the bunch). I really like the 3i brand, they're not new, they've been making robots for other companies for years. The G10 is stripped down from premium models, but it had the same sweeper>roller design that is so effective on the higher end models. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* If you've got a smaller place, or a place with many floor objects, try a Switchbot. Because they're so small, they can get between chair legs and make a small radius around things. Switchbot just doesn't get enough attention, IMO. Lots of people purchased the [K10+ Pro](https://lifehacker.com/tech/switchbot-k10-plus-robot-vacuum-review) on my recommendation during Prime Day and have posted about how happy they are. The 11 made the tower smaller and improved some other specs, but is mostly the same model. The perfect apartment, studio, or office vac. Performs spectacularly well as a vacuum, particularly given the price and stats, but it is ONLY a vacuum. I, personally, do not enjoy Eufy models, and on the whole, [did not enjoy the E20](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eufys-e20-robot-vacuum-ces-2025). I thought it was clunky and not particularly great at any of the 3 things it was trying to do, but people in this sub LOVE Eufy, so at this price point, if you're so determined, this is the one I'd get. In a similar vein, if you love Roborock, a brand I usually recommend highly, I usually think you should grab the most expensive one you can afford (with some exceptions). I loved the sweeper design, it moved debris off hard floors and carpet very effectively and would be my pick for carpet. Rarely got stuck on anything or reported errors, and it was just really reliable. I recommended this model during Prime Day, and got a lot of good feedback from folks who picked it up. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* The Dreame L40 Ultra is a great deal at half off, and I thought it did a great job getting into spaces, but wasn't great at mapping originally when[ I tested it](https://lifehacker.com/tech/dreame-l40-ultra-robot-vacuum-review). But it was a damn good vacuum, and a pretttty ok mop. if you find that take disappointing, at this price point, you're still asking a lot of a robot, so set expectations appropriately. I mention the Ecovacs T30S for the same reason as the Eufy 3-in-1. Altho I found it a bit of a pain to put away attachments each time you wanted to use the handheld, I can see the advantage of having a combo unit instead of separate stick and robot. And, [in my review](https://lifehacker.com/tech/ecovacs-deebot-t30s-combo-review), I did think both did a relatively good job, and the sale on this unit is hard to ignore. *If you're determined to get a Eufy:* Get the X10 Pro Omni. it was the first Eufy in a while [I didn't hate](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eufy-x10-pro-omni-review), it was actually pretty decent. Its a lot more decent at this price point. *If you're determined to get a Roborock:* I liked the Qrevo line, altho I prefer the S8/Saros line for their mops. What sticks out to me is how good looking it was. But with the price dropped to $700, I'm comfortable recommending it. It has the largest sweeps I've seen, and eats the biggest debris I've seen in a robot, all without getting clogged. It's the best roller mop I've tried (I tried the narwal and the dreame). And.... it has onboard sanitizing and makes its own water so you never have to change out the dirty water or refill it. Some people on here have said it smells mildewy (I haven't experienced that but it makes sense, it IS a dehumidifier, that's how it makes water). You can search for people's impressions and other reviews besides mine, but that's my #1 recco. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* The Dreame L50 Ultra has a noticeable discount, and has many of the charms [I admired in the X50](https://lifehacker.com/tech/dreame-x50-ultra-robot-vacuum-review), like some threshold climbing, some major suction, and hot water cleaning. *If you're determined to get a Roborock:* In this price bracket are both the Roborock Slim, the Qrevo and the CurvX. Here's why I ultimately say, go with the CurvX. My friend K says that the reason I'm trustworthy is that I'm always telling him to not buy things. So let me start here with what I'm NOT recommending, because you'll ask. I know everyone is excited about the Dreame Aqua and the Narwal Flow, but I think there are better roller mops out there, and I didn't feel either was significantly better than similarly priced non roller mops (the 3i S10). I really didn't love the Aqua, it leaked. The Flow was better. But not better than my picks in this category. The Saros Z70 is a fantastical concept I got super excited about, but wasn't great in practice. I haven't tested the X11, so that's my only reason I'm not recommending it. So what I DO recommend: The two models below are both excellent vacuums, mops and all around robots. They are highly comparable and while you could make yourself crazy comparing, stop. You'll be delighted with EITHER. I promise. I have the 3i g10+ got it on Amazon a few months ago and it’s been awesome. Only issue I’ve had so far is if I don’t more my charger cords it will suck them up and then the vacuum will stop and I need to fix it but other than that works good.

Airflow is a volumetric flow rate, think Liters per second flowing through the robot. Pascals is a pressure, which is a force per unit area. You can have a very high suction pressure while moving a very small volume of air at a time. This wouldn't give you very good vacuuming performance. Any air duct acts like a restriction to the flow. A longer air path will act as a larger flow restriction reducing airflow rate through the system. So a short air path won't have to work as hard to maintain a high rate of airflow compared with a longer or more complex one, with a bunch of sharp turns and duct size changes. Air leaks can vary in location. Depending on placement of the suction motor, the duct from the suction motor to the actual dust bin may not be well sealed and it could be pulling in air from inside the robot chassis. This can vary widely by design and manufacturer of course. I meant this as an example, a manufacturer could claim high suction, measured at the motor, while air leaks elsewhere could reduce actual performance. If built correctly this shouldn't happen but design and quality flaws absolutely happen. Leaks could also occur between the nozzle base plate and the brush housing or even between the nozzle and the floor. One of my robots for insistence, the floating brush nozzle doesn't quite sit low enough and hovers just above hard floor surfaces. So it's performance on hard floors is terrible, the suction and brushes aren't contacting the floor correctly. This is an example of your last point I suppose, but I lump it in with the category of "air leaks". Every part of an air path matters, from the vacuum motor intake to the floor nozzle. My examples were a cheap mova (s10) and a 3i G10+. The 3i has a very long complex air pathway due to the compacting mechanism in the dust bin. It has a small, leaky filter. And the 3i has a slightly wider than usual brush opening. It struggled on my carpet with anything other than loose surface debris. Anything even slightly in the carpet pile, it didn't touch. The mova s10, despite having over 2x less suction on paper, is a much better performer on carpet. It has a short air path, a large filter surface area, smaller nozzle opening etc.

Hey... I'm not a specialist with robot vacuums and have followed this thread reading reviews. I have 3 floors. Wasn't sure I was ready to spend the amount of money some of these are priced at. I saw a review on line of top 5 vacuums and there was one that was ranked most affordable at $299.99, 3i G10+. I read up on this and found it on Amazon for $199.99. I ordered and have been thoroughly satisfied. In fact, bought one for my son who has two kids, shedding dog and cat. They are loving it. I put my old Roomba 7 (2013) on bottom floor and have this one on the main 2nd floor. For $199.99, I'm going to get another one for the 3rd floor.

3I G10 plus.$200 at Amazon. 3I is the new proud owner of Roomba.

Two issues. Relatively small battery which takes a while to recharge. And if the dock is on thick carpeting a stiff piece of cardboard needs to go under it and extend out a few inches otherwise the wheel of the vacuum will sink into the carpet and the vacuum won't dock.

I also tried a 3i G10+. It advertises very high suction. I wasn't impressed until I started cleaning it up for return to Amazon. There was a ton of debris hidden at the filter. Still it is going back because at highest suction run time and recharge time makes it suitable only for small floorplans. Navigation was excellent.
