Look at a roborock Q10 instead. Really look at anything from dreame, roborock, or eufy ahead of those things. That discount is fake, the bobsweep isn't and was never worth the stated full price. It's current "sale" price in reality is just a "fair-ish" price. Basically don't be swayed by the seemingly huge discount, that's just a cynical marketing maneuver and there are better choices out there. With any robot vac, if longevity is a concern, I'd look at getting an extended warranty at time of purchase. Usually they're a waste of money but in this case it's saved me.

Bobsweep is the best thing since sliced bread. Has 2 years of warranty and when you call them, a human sitting in texas or california picks up!

I actually got a bObsweep ultra vision pet (even though I don’t own pets ). On bObsweeps website and all the other places that sell it have it listed at $1200, I got it for $300 from a Best Buy bash sale two weeks ago. Have always wanted one and $900 off was just too good to pass up. I otherwise could not afford or justify the purchase. I’ll bet you they must do this sale every now and again. If I were you I’d make a list of the top 5 or so models that you want and are within price range and then drop the hammer the second it goes on sale

r/RobotVacuumsFinally narrowed it down to 2 options... Which one though?

I just got [this one](https://www.bestbuy.com/product/bobsweep-ultravision-pet-self-empty-robot-vacuum-mop-180-day-capacity-13000-pa-suction-object-aware-tech-gunmetal/6632954?sb_share_source=PDP) Two weeks ago at $900 off. Totally understand if it’s not in your price range, the regular sale price is certainly not in mine. But it works great and 13000 pa for suction and I think a lot of the other ones are around like 8000. Very happy with it and got an unbelievable deal from Best Buy

Kinda hard to explain but when it works as it should I think it’s one of the greatest inventions in all of mankind but when it’s bad it’s bad. Have the bobsweep ultra vision pet (don’t know that I’d recommend it). $1200 vac I got new for $300. Ran awesome for like a month and then it would only run for like 10 min, or only go to the same spot, or get caught on the 1” of exposed cord I forgot to hide from it. bobsweep ended up replacing it for me and the new one has been better so far but have only ran it a few times. Basically when it’s good it’s great, if it’s not great it’s very frustrating to deal with

Mine has the mopping and WiFi. That’s another thing about the bobsweep, I’m very into home automation and it is the only “smart” device I own that I can not integrate to home assistant which is annoying. Like I said my first bobsweep was great for the first month and then just took a nose dive performance wise. If it were a human being capable of feeling emotion, I would call it the laziest entity I’ve ever encountered. I swear it would turn on, head straight to a cord, get wrapped up in it, and then stop. Then when I found that out would untangle and it would just return to the base with like 85% battery. Then I’d start it again and it would just go to the same zone for 10 min and return back to base. If I wanted it to clean a specific room I’d literally have to carry it to that room and basically lock it in there for it to work. I’ve noticed the replacement has actually been working in more of a pattern like you’d expect a smart vac to work, similar to a Zamboni. The older one did that at first and then stopped suddenly and was totally random. Unless there was a cord around, always managed to find that

r/RobotVacuumsWith all these new models, which upgrades do you really care about?

I wish I did more research before I got my bObsweep ultra pet vision. If you’re a Best Buy member it’s actually on sale for $260 today only and normally retails for $1200. - in my opinion I think it’s obstacle avoidance capabilities are pretty bad. If my life depended on it running a complete clean of my house without getting stuck on something I think I’d be a dead man. But I also don’t have any other models to compare it to, so could be par for the course for all I know - it’s the only “smart” device I own that I can not integrate with home assistant and it drives me crazy. It will pair with Amazon or googles smart home apps but only responds to extremely simple commands like start, or return to charger. A lot of other vacs are more intuitive and allow you to import its information to home assistant and design automations based on specific rooms you want cleaned, I can not do that. - the native app is awful. Like I said, it’s pretty rare that my vac runs an entire cycle successfully without getting stuck on something or running into some issue. The bObsweep app is terrible and doesn’t even allow you to send push notifications so if the vacuum runs into a problem you know you need to fix it. Or alert you at all when the cycle is complete, battery is low, any problem at all, you have to go in and proactively check which is very inconvenient

Ugh I had one of these and it cried all the time about getting stuck on cords, under furniture, would ride up the legs of my furniture. It was a bobi pet vacuum about 5 or 6 years ago, have they come along way since then?

We have a Roborock Qrevo Pro and it does struggle a bit if there is too much pet hair (we have 3 shibas that sheds like crazy twice a year when they blow their coats). The suction power is only stated to be 7,000 pa and if it sucks in too much pet hair, it jams up inside the vacuum reservoir and doesn't get sucked out when it returns to the base. We also have hardwood floors throughout and just ordered the bObsweep UltraVision from Sam's Club since it is on sale through Nov 30th, marked down from $800 to $269. That one is supposed to be rated at 10,000 pa of suction power. We are planning on using it upstairs to replace a Shark robot vacuum that we've been using for almost 5 years.

Can y’all share what you disliked about Bobsweep? I’m not trying to argue - just honestly curious because my experience was the total opposite and I want to understand where you're coming from. I have a ton of reasons why I settled on Bobsweep after trying the brands you are promoting but I do not see one real reason on reditt from all these nay sayers except that the price is too high -- which I think was totally worth it.

r/RobotVacuumsDo you think the bObsweep Ultravision is a good deal?

Been using this for a week now. Upstairs, I have the Ecovacs Omni X2—similar power on paper. But in reality? The Omni X2 *mops the floor* with the bObsweep when it comes to mopping. No contest. It’s also leagues ahead in object detection. Not even in the same universe. But here’s the thing—the bObsweep *crushes* carpet cleaning. And that’s all I needed for the lower level. No need for mopping down there. Once the room is mapped and obstacles are removed, this is, hands down, the best robot vacuum I’ve ever used. It replaced my Roomba i8+, and my carpet has *never* been this clean. Noticeably less dust in the air too. The vacuum runs in a quarter of the time, at a quarter of the noise level compared to the Roomba. And it doesn’t slam into everything like the Roomba does. I run it every day now, and I don’t even notice it’s on. At first, it did try to take on a surge protector full of wires—which, weirdly enough, my Roomba never attempted. Somehow, the camera and LiDAR didn’t see the brick with cables. But once I zoned that off in the map? This thing *flies* through the room. No bumping, no babysitting, no frustration. Unlike the Roomba, which constantly needed rescuing. Four years of dealing with that pain in the a$, and now? *Game changer.* If you need a *mopping* vacuum bot, look elsewhere. If you want the best *pure vacuum* bot for the money, you won’t find anything better—not even within $300 north of this price. When it was on sale for $300, I thought it was too good to be true. And yeah, it’s not really a $1200 bot—the mopping and object detection don’t stack up at that level. But as a vacuum? At $300? Absolute steal. The price isn’t $300 right now, but it’ll drop again soon. It keeps going in and out of sale. Just a heads-up for anyone looking for reviews—hope this helps! I took a leap of faith and purchased - as a vacuum bot only - and feel like I won the lottery.

Sharks are terrible. They basically due a week after warranty goes. And not just a little, like unusable. They also dont do well with pet hair or larger floor plans. Roombas are fine for a couple years, but then break frequently. Customer service is good but its weeks without your vacuum. Bobsweep works well except for the self emptying. Its not everytime but about once a week, I do have to take out the debris in the Dustin as it won't go into the bin of the base. I think robot vacuums just aren't quite where people think they are.

r/RobotVacuumsAre Ecovacs robovacs really that bad?

I don’t have experience with Ecovacs, but I did get a bobsweep on sale and I don’t use the mapping feature or app. I live in a tiny studio so there’s not a whole lot to clean but I’m disabled so every little bit helps. After reading the poor app reviews, I read that you don’t have to use the app, it has a “go” button that you press and it does the rest, including emptying itself at the home base. After watching it a couple of times I noticed that it does it’s best to get all the edges of an area first, then gets the middle, and when the battery starts to get low it goes back to empty and recharge. I don’t use the mop feature (I heard this brand isn’t the greatest for that) but it vacuums well. Whatever you buy make sure you get an answer about how to use your vacuum without an app and how it performs. I’m actually glad I don’t need the app and can just push the button. Some prefer the app for mapping and having a schedule set automatically for a cleaning but in my case it’s unnecessary.
