Quick answer: Yes Explanation: Whilst spinning mops were more of a "it maintains a clean floor reasonably well" deal. The rollers are a "I can clean the entire house properly without you doing anything" deal. Some will argue they are worse with dried on stains, which I guess is true, but reality is, with my Aqua 10 has rarely seen a stain which it did not remove on the first pass. Anything from like dirty shoe footprints to oil from cooking it picked up in one pass. (If that botters you, you can just quickly spray the dirty stains with some water before it passes over it, so it is a bit soaked I guess, but in my experience the X40 also had problems with such stains). Now lastly maintenance. And honestly, this is the main issue, right now we are using first gen rollers, which the manufacturers didn't really take time to consider how the products themselves would be cleaned. I found that having it vacuum, and then vacuum and mop was the best way to prevent any debris entering the mopping system, so no need to clean it every week, rather every 2 weeks maybe.
r/RobotVacuums • Are roller mops the only sensible choice now? ->Yes, it works for pets. Even the Aqua10 Track with 25kPa works. I have a short-haired dog and I use the Aqua10 Roller and Track daily, and for that part, it works. However, I don't know if the vacuums produce 25kPa and 30kPa. In any case, I don't see any greater improvement than a Eufy S1 Pro with 8kPa at MAX suction. I didn't understand when you were talking about it stopping if it blocks the way? If you're talking about if your dog goes in front of it, yes, it will go around it (and take a video of it if you activate the animal monitoring option) and if you activate the option to return at the end of cleaning on the blocking places, it will come back to clean this area at the end
r/RobotVacuums • Finally tried a roller mop robot - Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra thoughts ->some thoughts. first, buy it next week since most are on [sale.](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1nvsulx/comment/nhmjcxj/?context=1) Some thoughts on the models above: the p50 has a known hardware problem that they never seem to solve. Skip it. The S70 is a gimmick and separately, not a great vacuum. Trying to be too much. The Aqua 10 is fine, but leaks for a lot of people. I like the x9 or the 10R as options.... the Dreame models you noted aren't my favs.
r/RobotVacuums • I'm new, which vacuum should I get? ->I've got a dreamtech which has self cleaning mops and it does pretty good. I've also got 2 kids and toys all over the floor and it barely gets stuck.
r/smarthome • Considering a robovac, is there anyone out there that truly frees you from having to clean the mop yourself? ->We just got the dreame aqua10 roller So far: It has a pet mode (we haven't tested yet) that is supposed to avoid pets as well, but alas, our dog avoids the vacuum already It avoids humans - worked It detects risky obstacles - so far it hasnt gotten stuck yet and has correctly put locations where cables are on the map, once I forgot to put shoes on top of the stairs and it detected and pinned those on the map too, it avoided running them over. It also detects when it goes from hard floor to rugs and when it goes under a tight lower space It did cover considerable floor space without charging first time we ran it was 57m² at normal speed + mopping, we ran it a second time in sequence but it then did 42m² and had to charge. During its normal process it will go between the dock and last place cleaned to empty and rinse. It has various levels of sucking you can set it to and you can chose to mop + vacuum, only mop, only vacuum, and choose rooms or specific spots. It has its own light so even with lights off or under the broader corner couch it will just keep running without issues. We did worry bc it did a test run and tried to go up our (cross shaped) table legs but once it had done all mapping, it perfectly avoided it. With more complex tighter spaces it will attempt to go clean as closely as possible, at various attempts but didnt get stuck. It also did a software update immediately once we connected it after unboxing, I assume it will also keep its detection AI updated. We read reviews that the roller dock did leak in some rare instances, but another review mentioned a newer run doesn't have the same issue, so we bit the bullet and ours is still leak proof at least. You have to refill and empty the water reservoirs after each use as recommended, but it does save a lot of effort. Only downsides so far: - expensive refills - but it's like once 6 months roughly according to the manual... Well see, fiancee thinks it is worth it - Spot cleaning by hand for sticky spots still works best, and you might want to do manual cleaning of tight corners and spots it can't come every once in a while. But it def saves in upkeep, I don't think other vacs do it better probs - When it vacuums rugs it vacuums a bit louder - It is reaaallly loud when it vacuums the robot reservoir in the docking station.
r/RobotVacuums • What is the best robot - no price limit - for a large house with kids and pets and a lazy dad? ->Idk if it is true but if you have the means, there was mention it could be connected to your plumbing, but there's no proper spots to try that in our house so I skipped it
r/RobotVacuums • What is the best robot - no price limit - for a large house with kids and pets and a lazy dad? ->Got the dream a few weeks ago. It's a game changer. I had a Neato and a few iRobots over the years. With those units, I spent more time pulling out dog hair and untangling rollers than actually using the product. This is a lot more advanced, and with the self emptying, it's pretty great. All I do now is swap out the water tanks every day. Gripes? The mop pad on the base station gets hairy. It has difficulty getting dirt between the edge of the rug and the hardwood floors. It's expensive. All in all, it's a nice machine.
r/Dreame_Tech • X50 Ultra Thoughts? ->If you're considering both the X11 and Aqua10, I can only advise you to go for the X11. The Aqua10 has too many technologies that aren't necessarily well-mastered at the software level. It often experiences water leaks under the station and has a dust bin that doesn't empty properly
r/ecovacs • ecovacs X11 cyclone ou dreame aqua roller ->Hello everyone, I don't have a huge amount of experience with the Ecovacs X11 yet, but what I can say is that it is a truly excellent machine in every aspect. I had the Dreame Aqua 10 for 2 months and ended up returning it. It was really poorly designed, with problems like the dust bin not emptying correctly. I also experienced leaks under the station, just like many other users. The AI was very poorly managed, the battery life was catastrophic, and this is absolutely not the case with the X11. The X11 is very powerful, with a cyclonic station that recharges at a lightning-fast speed. The dust bin is perfectly emptied and clean after every single vacuuming session. Plus, it does a particularly thorough job. I absolutely love the Agent Hosting Mode (or AINA Mode). I was even able to ask the AI to vacuum before mopping, and it takes this into account in this mode, making the right decisions for each room. For now, I am genuinely delighted with this robot. For me, it is truly a very, very good machine, and Ecovacs has made incredible progress. I hope the reliability will be there in the long run.
r/ecovacs • ECOVACS DEEBOT X11 OmniCyclone - Real world feedback requested ->Dreame Aqua 10 Roller if budget isn't a concern, it has some of the best obstacle avoidance with its dual camera set up so you won't need to worry about rushing around picking things up after your kids! It's vacuuming ability is great too and the mop is the real stand out feature. That's what I'd buy if I were you ! :)
r/RobotVacuums • Please help me decide... ->But it is a damn good robot just a shame of these faults. I have now dreame aqua 10. VS Z50 1. Dreame is quiet and can jump thresholds but we do not need it in our house. The z50 is faster at cleaning and navigating, always empties the dustbin, uses less water, think the track cleans better then roller and has better battery life. All in all disappointed with the Aqua 10. Had the x9 for 2 hours before main brush stopped working. Fast at navigating and cleaning, cleans well great battery life but sidebrush sucks. Thinking of just getting x40 or x50 master hooking it to water and drainage and just call it a day and revisit the market again in tear or 2.
r/RobotVacuums • What's the best robot vacuum currently ->No stay away from the Aqua 10. I have x9 after the Aqua 10 just a more usable robot.
r/RobotVacuums • robot vacuum black friday 2025 deals ->Dreame Aqua 10 will be better but Narwal should release sooner as it’s been announced almost globally
