I got a d10 plus cheap about a year and a half ago, she's a champ! Not super duper feature rich, but it's been robust being that it runs alongside all the xiaomi stuff. Map and everything sets up nice with home assistant also!

Check Bestbuy.ca, surprisingly their deals on robot vacuums have been wild lately. Good portion of them are on for 66% off or more. There was a high end bObsweep vacu/mop combo that was $1599 down to $399 just last week. I also abused the sale to get myself a Dreame D10+ Self emptying for $199 down from $599

It is the reason I got my first robot vacuum, saw the presentation video and realised the market had grown a long way from the terrible robot vacuums of the early days. Got myself a dreame D10 plus a few days later.

I just bought one, and my choice was a Dreame D10 Plus after extensive research. One of the main tipping points was how their HA integration has just no competitor. Roborock and Eufy paled in comparison, and Valetudo is out of the question despite the promoters, as it has no floor support and other limitations. Another key point for me was the optional roller which automatically cuts long hair. We have 2 adults with long hair and a short hair cat, and it was a bother for us how the roller was entangled every time with our last robovac. We've just had it for a week, so can't comment yet, but so far I'm very happy with the HA integration. I also didn't want to spend £1000 for a Robovac like most people. I wanted it cheap, so £230 was a great price for this. Mop was just a bonus, we didn't care about it.

I wasn't planning to spend more than £300 when I wanted one. None is worth 1000s for me. After lots of research I decided on the Dreame D10 Plus, mostly due to hair trimmer accessory and the HA integration. I'm extremely happy with it. I don't understand why people pay so much money for these.

Ahh, I didn’t know I have to remove the metal bars, what difference does it make? Only the brushes touching that

I checked: it's touching the bristles of the brush, but not any other part and it seems to be a perfect fit. The stock brush is also touching these metal bars.

I've had a dreame for 3 years now, paid 350 on Amazon, it's the one that cleans and empties its dust bin itself, but just dust. Has a separate mop for water you have to install manually. Use it several times a day. If you have basic needs you can find I think the updated version. Mine is the D10 plus. Works with HA of course

So an unknown brand just came out with a fairly pedestrian robot with stationary-pad mopping, and it has a higher rating than some of the highest-regarded robots on the market? Nope. If you really need mopping on a budget, take a look at the Dreame D10+, Eufy L60 Hybrid, or one of the Roborock Q series robots. For a big improvement in mopping for not much more money, look at the Eufy C20 or Dreame L10s Ultra series. Mova can be good, if they've solved their problem with fragile front wheels. If you don't care about mopping, look at the Eufy L60 SES or SwitchBot K10+.

# TLDR: Get the **L10s Pro** if it's within budget. If not, **D10 Plus** is the best bang for the buck **with a base**. Auto-empty is a game-changer in a dusty home. # Model Rundown: # ✅ L10s Pro * **Best cleaning performance** of the group (top-tier suction + obstacle avoidance) * **Does wet mopping well** with rotating pads * No base, but solid overall * **Best for large apartments** if you don’t mind emptying it manually # ✅ L10s (non-Pro) * Older, still solid * Has AI navigation and **comes with an auto-empty base** * Slightly weaker suction than Pro, less smart avoidance # ✅ D10s Pro * Decent suction and basic lidar nav * **No base** * Good for smaller or simpler homes — not ideal for large, dusty spaces unless you’re OK emptying it often # ✅ D10 Plus * Similar to D10s Pro but **comes with a base** * Very basic navigation (bumps into stuff sometimes), but **great value** for the price # Why the Base Matters (especially with dust): If your place gets dusty and you’re busy (or just hate emptying bins daily), the base makes life *so* much easier. You can go a couple of weeks without touching the robot. Totally worth it if that’s a pain point. # 🏆 Recommendation Based on Budget Priorities: * **Top pick overall**: L10s Pro (best clean + navigation, even without base) * **Best value with base**: D10 Plus * **All-around balance**: L10s (base + decent mopping) Let me know your price ceiling and I can tell you exactly what to grab and what to skip.

Eufy. The roller mop is a game changer for robot vacuums. No matter how many techniques spinning mops add, they can’t do it as well as this. My previous Dreame D10 plus basically spread the dust around on the floor. But the new E25 doesn't do that at all.

I also have an L40 Ultra and I haven't experienced issue 1 or 2. I would agree with #3 but I think that, for me, it's due to the Tricut brush which I bought with it. The Tricut brush is a double-edged sword in that it definitely does not get tangled with hair. I've been using the Tricut brush since November 2024 on 3 Dreametech vacuums (one L40 and two D10 Plus's) and not a single one of them has had a hair tangle yet. The downside is that it definitely doesn't pick up as well as the default brushes that came with the D10 Plus. I never tried the silicon brush that came with the L40 Ultra so I'm not sure how that compares.

Here in Australia we have a Q10V plus. Similar situation where I couldn't find a review on it but decided to go ahead with it. Absolutely love the device. I did a quick this vs my dreame d10s plus (previous vacuum) after my usage with the device. Here's the subreddit if anyone would be interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1kidons/roborock_q10v_vs_others/

None that fulfil all your requirements. The really good vacuum-only robots are relatively 'dumb' bots compared to the combo robots. Dreame has improved a lot from the D10S Plus too.

For some reason, every high end vacuum seems to have a bunch of mopping stuff. But I don't need (or particularly trust) automated mopping. I have a cat who has lots of toys and loves to spread litter everywhere. The dream would be to be able to get something with all the bells and whistles---auto empty dock (of course), really good obstacle avoidance with an AI camera etc., decent with corners ... but without paying for mop features. Is this possible these days? Does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks!! (I don't trust Dreame. I currently have a d10s plus---never used the mopping feature, lol---and it's super unreliable, has to be reset constantly and seems to just have gone totally haywire this morning. Not buying anything from those crooks ever again. But open to roborock, Roomba, Eufy, Ecovacs, etc., and had good experience with an old )

I'm on my 3rd generation device now, started with a Roomba, then Eufy, now a Dreambot - each is obviously better than the last, but i had attributed that mostly to it simply being a new product space and so advancements are regular and large. The roomba barely did any mapping, and the app was bare bones...seems like it's only made a tiny bit of progress in the last 9 years. Definitely spent more time babysitting/maintaining the Roomba than i saved by using it to vacuum lol, but i like tech so thats ok

The Dreame D10 looks functionally identical to the Xiaomi X10 we have. Works great, mopping function is a bit shit though. If you have hard floors look for one with rotating mops, otherwise it just smears light streaks of water around. Really good for carpets though. The auto-empty is really nice because the storage in the things are tiny and it would be a pain in the ass having to empty it every day. Of the 2 I would go for the Dreame, but I personally wouldn't pick either because of the shit mops given we have a lot of hard floor.

Dreame D10. Does a real good job of mapping and being diligent about covering every square inch. Self emptying. If you take the time to set up the map, you can give it no-go zones, set up rooms and zones, etc. Pretty good. I will say, running it on the lowest (quietest) vacuum setting does not do a great job of picking up dog fur & dog dirt. You gotta step it up to the top 2 loudest settings to get good vacuuming. At that rate, the battery lasts about 1500 square feet. Also, when the base bag is only 3/4 full it stops self-emptying, which annoys me every time.

We have a Dreame that self empties and will mop. It’s in the pricey side, but we’ve also had n auto emptying Shark that I really liked and a Roborock that did very well but you have to empty. FWIW we have two large dogs (Alaskan Malamute and Great Pyrenees) and 8 cats.

Got the dream a few weeks ago. It's a game changer. I had a Neato and a few iRobots over the years. All I do now is swap out the water tanks every day. Gripes? The mop pad on the base station gets hairy. It has difficulty getting dirt between the edge of the rug and the hardwood floors. It's expensive. All in all, it's a nice machine.

The Dreame robot mop system is our favorite new roommate! We have a new and an older iRobot Roomba vacuums and recently got this one for the main floor. We're very happy with it. It's available in many different price ranges.
