these two will be good budget options!! Roborock Q8 Max Plus https://www.webhallen.com/se/product/365760-Roborock-Q8-Max-White?utm_source=prisjakt.nu&utm_medium=cpc Dreame D20 Plus https://www.webhallen.com/se/product/387602-Dreame-D20-Plus-White?utm_source=prisjakt.nu&utm_medium=cpc If hair is shedded in your apartment, I’d go for the d20 plus as hair won’t get tangled in the rollers. You’d just have to remove the hair from ends of rollers from the q8 max+ every once in a while :)
Xiaomi is a great option if you want it to actually mop. You’d just have to dampen the mops before it mops and wash the mops after it finishes mopping. It’s best to run it to vacuum first then mop.
The dreame D20 Plus at 329, the MOVA E30 Pro Plus at 349, and the Dreame D20 Pro Plus at 365 USD will be perfect for you. It has antitangle dual main brushes and a tangle resistant side brush which is a lifesaver for those with long hair and fur. I’ve had robots with the same antitangle dual main brushes and they’ve never choked on waist length hair and long haired corgi fur. It also has a big dust bin at 500mL and a 5L dustbag it autoempties into. There’s a removable mopping compartment too which will do at best passive swiffer mopping. If you can’t figure out the differences let me tell you what they are: The only difference between them is that both the MOVA E30 Pro Plus and the Dreame D20 Pro Plus has an extendable side brush which helps at getting little fur bunnies in corners or reaching under furniture like your fridge when cleaning along it and that the D20 Plus doesn’t. The MOVA E30 Pro Plus boasts 19,000 Pa over the Dreame D20 models but I never consider boasted pascal rating as they’re often gamed and don’t really mean anything by themselves.
The best basic choice would be the Dreame D20 Plus and the best cost effective choice (based on features) would be the MOVA E30 Pro Plus. I’d wait for Black Friday which should be Nov 20-ish onwards.
It’ll have bump and go and a top mounted lidar sensor for obstacle avoidance. There’s also the dreame d20 pro plus and the d20 plus (main difference is an extending side brush on the pro plus but no extending side brush on the plus) with front structured light which should be in this price range.
Reliable connectivity is basically a given for most modern robots from the big brands. I’d definitely check out the dreame d20 pro plus/d20 plus or the MOVA e30 pro plus (basically the dreame d20 pro plus but can be found for cheaper) as they are vacuum focused robots with a removable mop pad and do great with fur since they have dual antitangle brushes and a fur compression feature that has worked well.
I’d check out the dreame d20 if you just want a basic no frills vacuuming focused robot that does well with long hair and has a basic charging base station. The dreame d20 plus and the pro plus has an autoempty station. The MOVA e30 pro plus ultra is going to be the best bang for buck if you want what the dreame d20 pro plus offers at a lower price. Would also check out the roborock q10 s5+ as a great budget friendly vacuum focused robot. MOVA sent me their v50 ultra and their z60 ultra roller to review as part of their Reddit collaboration program. MOVA’s hyperstream antitangle duorollers that the dreame d20 series also has really do work with waist length hair and my long haired corgi’s fur on hard floors and carpets.
The Q10 S5+ is a good budget robot. If your pets shed a lot I’d check out the dreame d20 plus or the d20 pro plus as it has a fur compression feature that lets it do better with fur without clogging up in the middle and leaving empty space on the sides.
What's steaming? I'd check out the dreame d20 plus or the mova e30 pro plus
I’d check out the dreame d20 plus or the MOVA e30 pro plus which is the d20 pro plus at a cheaper price. MOVA sent me their v50 ultra and the Z60 ultra roller to review as part of their Reddit collaboration program. The robots I mentioned have the same antitangle duo brush rollers which do great for my long haired corgi’s fur on carpet so I’d recommend these robots. Also would recommend combo models like the S8 MaxV ultra or the roborock QRevo master if you can find them at the <500 price point
I’d also check out the dreame d20 plus/pro plus and the MOVA e30 pro ultra if fur tangles are a concern as they have antitangling main brushes that have worked great in my experience. MOVA did send me their v50 and z60 ultra roller for free to review.
I’d definitely check out the dreame d20 plus/pro plus, the MOVA E30 pro plus, or the roborock Q10 S5+ but the roborock is more likely to have hair tangle around its brush. They all come with a mop but these mops are more of an afterthought and are easily removable. Get them from amazon for easy returns~
I’d recommend the Dreame l40 ultra and the MOVA p10 pro ultra at 400-450. Although they are vacuuming and mopping combo robots, they’re pretty good vacuum robots with great obstacle avoidance, chair legs and wires won’t be a concern. If it’s only chair legs that’s a concern, I’d check out the roborock q10 s5+ or if hair and fur shedding is a concern the dreame d20 plus/pro plus and the MOVA e30 pro plus which should be in the 200-400 range.
Depends if you want the robot to vacuum or vacuum and mop. Most combo robots generally sacrifice vacuuming ability to accommodate the mop parts. Best budget vacuuming focused robot is the roborock q10 s5+ or the dreame d20 plus/pro plus in the 200-300 range if pet fur is more of a concern. The Dyson VisNav 360 can be considered if you want a robot that cleans as well as a cordless Dyson (yes, a Dyson is one of the best robot vacuums) but there are tradeoffs regarding its battery life and navigation (current owners say it has improved). I’d only consider the Dyson if it is less than half of its retail price. Do not get the Dyson Spot+Scrub unless you like to burn your money. Best bang for buck robot vacuum and mop combo is the dreame l40 ultra at 400 usd on amazon.
I think dreame and MOVA have vacuuming focused robots that are better suited for heavily shedding pets like their d20 plus/pro plus, and the MOVA E30 as it has the fur compression feature so the dustbin won’t clog in one part with a lot of empty space in the middle. If you want something that mops, I’d get the edge 5V1 as it has an antitangle main brush. Hot air mop drying helps a lot in prevent mildew unlike the QV35 and the QV35A.
I’d check out the dreame d20 plus/pro plus or the MOVA e30 pro plus as vacuuming focused robots as their dual antitangle rollers do well for carpet!
I highly recommend combo robots if your parents walk around the house barefoot, it greatly improves the feel! The combo robots I found best for keeping itself clean are the dreame and MOVA robots with the filter self cleaning function and the flat washboard. I was able to get away with making my MOVA V50 run everyday for 3 months without a noticeable change in cleanliness. After that it’ll be and the roborock Curv 2 Pro and the Narwal spinning mop robots which generally consume more water than the other options. The app is going to be a challenge for them but you can set it up for them and put it on a schedule so they won’t have to open the app at all.
Thanks for sharing! I hypothesize that the X50 Ultra's poor battery life is likely due to the more power-hungry computer chip it utilizes. My own experience with the L40s Pro Ultra (mainland Chinese version) had a *worse battery life* that struggled to finish cleaning my home whereas my much cheaper combo Xiaomi robot (also mainland Chinese version) that has the same battery capacity and is also made by Dreame would be able to vacuum first and then mop my small apartment and finish with 50%. Other reviewers have reported that the L40s Pro Ultra (non-mainland Chinese edition) had a bad battery life, just like me :( Hopefully, this issue will be fixed soon. I hope the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track doesn't suffer the same battery life issue, especially because it'll need a more powerful chip to process all the information coming from the HD binocular RGB cameras and the dot projector, and a power-efficient water heater in the robot to heat the water up.
You can get the Eufy e25 for A$895 at JB. Or reading the comments, as low as A$700 with some price matching or negotiation at the good guys. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/940548 Under $500 Australian is rough for a new-ish vacuum that also mops well (ie more than simply dragging the mop pad around). If you want to stick to the budget, I'd suggest this Dreame D20 Plus as being a decent option. The vacuuming is excellent and the included brush is the same as high end flagships. We have long hair, multiple pets and there's zero tangles so far. The mop is... basic and serviceable, but that's about good as you'll get for A$400. https://www.amazon.com.au/Auto-Empty-HyperStream-Anti-Tangle-Hands-Free-Infrared/dp/B0FB2MFN7X?th=1
I'd lean towards the Roborock just because they honor their warranty. But the L20 from Dreame looks awfully good too. You're on your own if it breaks though. My D20 pp is making me a very happy woman.
Based on your needs, Sados 10r is an overkill except you are planned to move into larger place in the next months. For Roborock, if you don't mind washing and changing the mop pad before every mopping session, you can go with Q7 M5/L5/TF with + designation for auto empty station. The Q10 S5+/X5+ gives more features above Q7 like obstacle avoidance sensor, vibrating mop pad and lifting mop pad unlike passive mop like in Q7. If you need a bit more automation, you can spend a little more on QV35A/QV35S (different only in suction power 8000Pa vs 10000Pa), and Qrevo S (7000Pa but come with warm air mop drying unlike ambient temperature drying in QV35). The QV35 has other names in some regions called Qrevo L. For Dreame, you can go with their D9 Max Gen 2 (no auto-empty dock), D10 Plus Gen 2 (with auto-empty dock), D20 Pro Plus (upgraded from D10 with more features like obstacle avoidance, extendable side brush, dual roller main brush great for anti tangle, and 13000Pa suction). There's also D20 Plus with almost similar specs to D20 Pro Plus but without the extendable side brush for corner cleaning and obstacle avoidance sensor. If you need a bit automation, there is D20 Ultra (offered in certain regions), L10s Ultra, L10s Ultra Gen 2, and so on. There's also Mova (Dreame's cheaper sub-brand) with S10 (cousin to D9), E30 Ultra for a bit more automation but cheap (cousin to D20 Ultra), S20 Ultra, or P10 Pro Ultra. You could also try to check Xiaomi's robots if available in your place. Their customer service is mostly decent and their robot is designed by Dreame using Dreame's older design and sold at cheaper and competitive price than Roborock, Dreame, and Mova.
Dreame D20 Plus or the Pro Plus version if you need the obstacle avoidance feature and a mechanical extendable side brush.
I have 2 huskies and the dog hair is a biggg issue in my house. I have owned many robot vacuums including Eufy, Shark,…, but my best one so far is still the Dreame D20 Plus.
If obstacle avoidance around cat toys actually matters, the **L20 Ultra** is the safest pick out of the three. It has proper camera-based avoidance that’s good enough for cords, toys, and random floor junk. Hair handling is fine on hard floors and rugs, especially if you add a TriCut-style roller later. For 35 sqm, it’s honestly more robot than you strictly need, but it’ll be the least annoying day to day. The **D20 Plus** is the best pure vacuum value, but you’re right, it basically has **no real obstacle avoidance**. It cleans well, handles hair nicely, but it will absolutely eat cat toys if you forget to tidy up. If you’re okay watching the floor or running it when things are picked up, it’s solid. If not, it’ll frustrate you. The **D20 Ultra** sits in an awkward middle. You pay more than the D20 Plus, but the obstacle avoidance is still pretty basic compared to the L-series. It’s better than nothing, but not reliable enough that you can just forget about toys entirely. Hard to justify the extra $60 unless the pricing gap was smaller.
If obstacle Avoidance is your priority, the L20 Ultra is the winner. If better carpet cleaning is your priority, the D20 Plus/Ultra is the better option. If you want the best mopping, obstacle Avoidance and cleaning capabilities and don't mind spending more, the Dreame L50 Ultra will suit.
I have a Dreame D20 ( $220 refurb!) and it works pretty well. Incidentally I have a blue and harlequin too!
I love the white sock!. Ours has one foot that’s white on the underside, i guess you’d call it the sole of her foot
I think the closest option would be the d20. its a pretty neat robovac and its priced well too. I used to own [this](https://www.reddit.com/user/Medium-Ship-4873/comments/1q0ix17/dreame_d20/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) specific option. It works pretty great
This is why I am hesitating on the roborock q10 pf in my country. It is the q10 x5 in US. Will the spare parts be found in 3 years? Only if sales are good enough. The spare parts if too different may not be found so easily. Like the Dreame D20 (only with charging dock) in my country that is not the Dreame D20 Ultra in any way. And so far I have been unable to find the spare parts or know its equivalent elsewhere. For my Xiaomi 1C, I have managed to find parts to it. I have sent it in to get the wheels switched out under warranty, I have changed the filters and brushes at economical prices and I have switched out the batteries twice so far. The new ones are larger capacity but cause the robot vac to be a bit haywire. Perhaps I need to service the front wheel and clean the sensors? Either way, I am undecided between the roborock q10 PF and Xiaomi S20 or S20+. The S20 seems to fit my needs as a basic vacuum and is more compact allowing it to get into slightly tight areas but feels like just a little upgrade over my 1C that still works albeit haywire sometimes. It gets fixated on areas some times. I have put furniture risers ro accommodate the LiDar puck as that was the only hindrance on the new vacuums.
