Skip the Q7M5 if you can afford upto \~$350. Roborock [Q10 S5+](https://redango-delta.vercel.app/g/A9F2M7XQ) is way better. It offers better obstacle avoidance (except wires which almost no robot vacuum will avoid in this range) and its mopping system can lift itself off area rugs. If you dont have issues with auto-docking then go with Q10 S5 base. Another model worth looking at if you have pets is [Dreame D20 PP](https://redango-delta.vercel.app/g/F3QX7M2A) if you want better suction and an extending brush but you will lose the auto lifting and sonic vibration on the Q15 S5.
For three units with those needs, I'd mix Dreame L20 Ultra combos for the levels with more hard floors and Dreame D20 Pro Plus for a vacuum-only unit (it still has a basic mop, there aren't many true "vacuum only" models nowadays). These are decently priced so won't break the bank on total cost, and can all be managed together in one app (Dreame has one of the better apps out there).
Get ones that either have roborocks duodivide or the dreame/mova duo detangling brushes. The cheapest one you should prob get is the dreame d20 pro plus.
If you dont need mopping, the dreame d20 pro plus is a good option. If you do want automated mopping, I would say get a mova p10 pro ultra gen 1, and then buy a dreame tri cut brush and put it on the p10 pro ultra.
I think the q10 s5+ is also a really good option, my only problem with it is im pretty sure it doesnt have the extending side brush, which the d20 pro plus has, i would prefer the corner cleaning on the d20 pro plus over the slightly better vacuuming and the basic obstacle avoidance (really basic and not htat good) of the q10s5+.
Hey! I just want to start off by saying if you're looking for the "best" robot vacuum on the market, it's very difficult to find the "best" and they don't already offer mopping as a functionality. You can just opt to not mop with your robot vacuum and have it only vacuum if you'd like but thats completely up to you! If you'd like a recommendation for a good robo vac that can still handle what you're looking for you can start by checking out the Dreame D20 Pro Plus, it handles hair amazingly, its self emptying, and can handle your floor combination easily. Now if you want the BEST robot vacuum on the market, you should check out the X60 Max Ultra. If the one thing that's stopping you from buying a robo vacuum is whether or not it comes with mopping, it'll be a hard search if you're specifically looking for 2026's "best". The X60 is the best robo vac on the market, and if you don't want it to mop, you don't need to use the mopping function. In case you would like to learn more in further detail I'll send you a message!
The Dreame D20 Pro Plus is mainly a carpet focused robot vacuum (though it has a detachable mop, but of course you can just never use this feature/take it off). It has decent suction and Duo Brushes that prevent hair getting trapped in the roller. Also has an extending side brush to get into corners. The only drawback is no RGB camera for true obstacle Avoidance, so if your home Is relatively tidy and you don't have any cables waiting on the floor to be sucked up by the vacuum you'll be fine lol. But if your house can get "messy" then you may need to pick things up before running it.
The navigation is fine on any Dreame models, cheap or expensive because they use LiDAR. Except the L60 Ultra which uses a DToF and has shown flaws in its navigation and pathing etc. so the D20 Pro Plus will do fine navigation wise, obstacle avoidance will not be as strong on this model. It'll avoid bigger things like shoes, containers etc but smaller things like socks and cables and toys is where it will struggle compared to a Dreame with a RGB camera. And yes there is an option to turn the side brush on for carpet as well
If obstacle Avoidance is your priority, the L20 Ultra is the winner. If better carpet cleaning is your priority, the D20 Plus/Ultra is the better option. If you want the best mopping, obstacle Avoidance and cleaning capabilities and don't mind spending more, the Dreame L50 Ultra will suit.
Dreame D20 Pro Plus. $320 on Amazon right now I believe. I had similar requirements and didn’t need a mop and had a similar budget. Bought it a week ago after a lot of research. Absolutely love it so far. It will have a mop attachment, but it’s a very simple one that I just store in a closet, not attached to the robot. There were other contenders, but the D20 Pro Plus has an extending side spinning brush that I wanted for corners and better cleaning.
