Don't pick the Q7 M5 because it doesn't have ANY obstacle avoidance, the Q10 S5 has obstacle avoidance but only for large objects not toys, no Roborock robot for 250€ will give you the obstacle avoidance system that you need. I would personally look at a Dreame robot with obstacle avoidance like the Dreame D10s Pro
r/RobotVacuums • [Advice] Choosing Roborock — Q7 M5 vs Q10 S5 vs Q5 Pro? ->Just get the top level dreamebot or roborock (same company owns both). Their robots do an excellent job, and the app works really well!
r/RobotVacuums • If money wasn’t an issue, what’s the best robot vacuum right now? ->Looks like you’re right, they are technically not both currently owned by xiaomi, but they share a ton of similarities. My coworker has a dreamebot and his app, replacement parts, features are nearly identical to my roborocks.
r/RobotVacuums • If money wasn’t an issue, what’s the best robot vacuum right now? -># TLDR: Get the **L10s Pro** if it's within budget. If not, **D10 Plus** is the best bang for the buck **with a base**. Auto-empty is a game-changer in a dusty home. # Model Rundown: # ✅ L10s Pro * **Best cleaning performance** of the group (top-tier suction + obstacle avoidance) * **Does wet mopping well** with rotating pads * No base, but solid overall * **Best for large apartments** if you don’t mind emptying it manually # ✅ L10s (non-Pro) * Older, still solid * Has AI navigation and **comes with an auto-empty base** * Slightly weaker suction than Pro, less smart avoidance # ✅ D10s Pro * Decent suction and basic lidar nav * **No base** * Good for smaller or simpler homes — not ideal for large, dusty spaces unless you’re OK emptying it often # ✅ D10 Plus * Similar to D10s Pro but **comes with a base** * Very basic navigation (bumps into stuff sometimes), but **great value** for the price # Why the Base Matters (especially with dust): If your place gets dusty and you’re busy (or just hate emptying bins daily), the base makes life *so* much easier. You can go a couple of weeks without touching the robot. Totally worth it if that’s a pain point. # 🏆 Recommendation Based on Budget Priorities: * **Top pick overall**: L10s Pro (best clean + navigation, even without base) * **Best value with base**: D10 Plus * **All-around balance**: L10s (base + decent mopping) Let me know your price ceiling and I can tell you exactly what to grab and what to skip.
r/Dreame_Tech • Vacuums: choosing between D10 Plus with a base and D10s Pro or L10s Pro w/o base ->I started with a dumb bump around Eufy 11s refurb years ago. Ran it for years, replaced one wheel and a battery (super easy, love the support parts). Just got a refurb Dreame 10s which adds mapping and mopping. I’m sure the latest models does more, but there are so many models and updates, I’m perfectly happy to be behind the curve, save the money, and still have a clean house.
r/RobotVacuums • When we spend big on a robot vacuum, what differences are we mainly looking for? ->Dreame with Valetudo installed
r/homeassistant • Which robot vacuum is best with HA right now? ->I'm on my 3rd generation device now, started with a Roomba, then Eufy, now a Dreambot - each is obviously better than the last, but i had attributed that mostly to it simply being a new product space and so advancements are regular and large. The roomba barely did any mapping, and the app was bare bones...seems like it's only made a tiny bit of progress in the last 9 years. Definitely spent more time babysitting/maintaining the Roomba than i saved by using it to vacuum lol, but i like tech so thats ok
r/gadgets • iRobot’s future isn’t looking up ->The Dreame D10 looks functionally identical to the Xiaomi X10 we have. Works great, mopping function is a bit shit though. If you have hard floors look for one with rotating mops, otherwise it just smears light streaks of water around. Really good for carpets though. The auto-empty is really nice because the storage in the things are tiny and it would be a pain in the ass having to empty it every day. Of the 2 I would go for the Dreame, but I personally wouldn't pick either because of the shit mops given we have a lot of hard floor.
r/newzealand • Robot vacuum ->Dreame D10. Does a real good job of mapping and being diligent about covering every square inch. Self emptying. If you take the time to set up the map, you can give it no-go zones, set up rooms and zones, etc. Pretty good. I will say, running it on the lowest (quietest) vacuum setting does not do a great job of picking up dog fur & dog dirt. You gotta step it up to the top 2 loudest settings to get good vacuuming. At that rate, the battery lasts about 1500 square feet. Also, when the base bag is only 3/4 full it stops self-emptying, which annoys me every time.
r/smarthome • What are the current best robot vacuum cleaners that you're now swearing by for home? ->I have an old cheap Eufy and a newer Dreame D10. The old cheap Eufy is not smart, it just bounces around randomly and has a habit of getting stuck behind closet doors. And every 4 weeks I have to flip it and cut all my wife's hair off the roller. The Dreame is smart, so it has a map of the floor of the house and I mapped rooms and zones, and no-go zones. It has schedules , and a mop attachment I have yet to use. It is also self-emptying. I have dogs, so the challenge level is pretty high. I like having them both run every day, the remove a lot of dust, dander, and pet hair every single day. However, the mopping on the D10 is pointless, it just moistens the dirt. The vacuuming is very good, when set to maximum vacuum level it does a decent (but loud) job of getting stuff of the floor. Regardless, I still have to do an actual manual vacuum every week or two anyway to finish cleaning the floors. Still, I appreciate the fact that so much junk is removed without any effort on my part. Each of these units fills their bin every day, so I know they are removing a big pile of stuff.
r/smarthome • Will I regret buying robovac, just another overpriced toy? ->I have this one as well, but the version without the self emptying deck. I'm always scared of bugs climbing in there and nesting before I get to empty it. This being said, I love it, and it's not even my first Dreame: I've never been able to find a better quality/price deal.
r/CleaningTips • Self emptying robot vacuums for homes with many pets? ->Got the dream a few weeks ago. It's a game changer. I had a Neato and a few iRobots over the years. With those units, I spent more time pulling out dog hair and untangling rollers than actually using the product. This is a lot more advanced, and with the self emptying, it's pretty great. All I do now is swap out the water tanks every day. Gripes? The mop pad on the base station gets hairy. It has difficulty getting dirt between the edge of the rug and the hardwood floors. It's expensive. All in all, it's a nice machine.
r/Dreame_Tech • X50 Ultra Thoughts? ->I've got a dreamtech which has self cleaning mops and it does pretty good. I've also got 2 kids and toys all over the floor and it barely gets stuck.
r/smarthome • Considering a robovac, is there anyone out there that truly frees you from having to clean the mop yourself? ->The Dreame robot mop system is our favorite new roommate! We have a new and an older iRobot Roomba vacuums and recently got this one for the main floor. We're very happy with it. It's available in many different price ranges.
