"A good robovac is a life changer. Even a $350 basic S8. It is a great place to start. ... I promise you that you will not be disappointed by a basic S8. It will change your life even if it can't fit under every piece of furniture you own. ... My two S8s just finished vacuuming our entire house in about 46 minutes. ... While my floors were being cleaned, I sat comfortably on our patio in the cool shade with a slight breeze and composed my far too long response to you while sipping a diet soda and relaxing. ... I will have to spend about four minutes maintaining my two S8s. This will be my entire contribution to my home floor cleaning effort for today. Four minutes!"
"Like 500$ these robots are currently the steal of the century ... You can get a mova p10 pro ultra (cannot remove its mops), equivalent to the l40/x40 for 500$ after a discount code"
"I got the Q5 Pro for $139. ... costs $450 less than what I paid for the S6 ... it is the best value option out there imo."

"I’ve seen on the camera the poor guy making multiple trips to self empty while in one room but it’s cut the hair buildup tenfold."
"With three they can just make it to a full week for emptying. ... Life changing."
"splurge for the self emptying because if you have to empty it every time you're less likely to use it. We only have to empty ours like once a month and I have a 14mo and a 3yo who drop crumbs everywhere. ... we have a Shark with a large self emptying bin and that thing is great for the price point."

"Got the dream a few weeks ago. It's a game changer. I had a Neato and a few iRobots over the years. With those units, I spent more time pulling out dog hair and untangling rollers than actually using the product."
"I own 3 Golden Retrievers and live in an apartment, so they are 24/7 inside the house except for the walks, and let's also add the wife with long hair. ... every Sunday I clean the main brush from a few hair that gets tangled ... if it's a well built robot it can easily clean the house daily without having to remove chunks of hair from it"
"I’m fucking amazed at how well it works. ... We have two dogs and three cats and my wife back moved, prior to buy a mess, daily as well as mopped a couple to few times a week. We wake up every morning with gorgeous clean floors. ... I just bought a L 10 second generation and I’m blown away."

"Unlike the Dreame, this Mova can clean the edges but by swinging like other robot models which is very effective but takes much longer."
"Toe kick cleaning is in my experience non-existent. Maybe mine are too low, I'll have to clean those 2 inches by hand."
"It also was not mopping correct. There was always a dry line between the two mops."

"The mop pad on the base station gets hairy."
I've got a dreamtech which has self cleaning mops and it does pretty good. I've also got 2 kids and toys all over the floor and it barely gets stuck.
r/smarthome • Considering a robovac, is there anyone out there that truly frees you from having to clean the mop yourself? ->Got the dream a few weeks ago. It's a game changer. I had a Neato and a few iRobots over the years. With those units, I spent more time pulling out dog hair and untangling rollers than actually using the product. This is a lot more advanced, and with the self emptying, it's pretty great. All I do now is swap out the water tanks every day. Gripes? The mop pad on the base station gets hairy. It has difficulty getting dirt between the edge of the rug and the hardwood floors. It's expensive. All in all, it's a nice machine.
r/Dreame_Tech • X50 Ultra Thoughts? ->Don't pick the Q7 M5 because it doesn't have ANY obstacle avoidance, the Q10 S5 has obstacle avoidance but only for large objects not toys, no Roborock robot for 250€ will give you the obstacle avoidance system that you need. I would personally look at a Dreame robot with obstacle avoidance like the Dreame D10s Pro
r/RobotVacuums • [Advice] Choosing Roborock — Q7 M5 vs Q10 S5 vs Q5 Pro? ->Thanks for sharing! I hypothesize that the X50 Ultra's poor battery life is likely due to the more power-hungry computer chip it utilizes. My own experience with the L40s Pro Ultra (mainland Chinese version) had a *worse battery life* that struggled to finish cleaning my home whereas my much cheaper combo Xiaomi robot (also mainland Chinese version) that has the same battery capacity and is also made by Dreame would be able to vacuum first and then mop my small apartment and finish with 50%. Other reviewers have reported that the L40s Pro Ultra (non-mainland Chinese edition) had a bad battery life, just like me :( Hopefully, this issue will be fixed soon. I hope the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track doesn't suffer the same battery life issue, especially because it'll need a more powerful chip to process all the information coming from the HD binocular RGB cameras and the dot projector, and a power-efficient water heater in the robot to heat the water up.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy ->We’ve been running a Dreame D10s for 2yrs now, it’s been excellent, haven’t had a single issue with it, navigation round a quite complex downstairs map is great and it is able to detect rugs / carpets and hard floors correctly. Consumables are readily available from aliexpress. I was slightly sceptical of buying a random Chinese brand but even if I died tomorrow I’d quite happily buy the new version of it.
r/HENRYUKLifestyle • Good robot vacuum and mop all in one? ->Just get the top level dreamebot or roborock (same company owns both). Their robots do an excellent job, and the app works really well!
r/RobotVacuums • If money wasn’t an issue, what’s the best robot vacuum right now? ->Looks like you’re right, they are technically not both currently owned by xiaomi, but they share a ton of similarities. My coworker has a dreamebot and his app, replacement parts, features are nearly identical to my roborocks.
r/RobotVacuums • If money wasn’t an issue, what’s the best robot vacuum right now? ->I have this one as well, but the version without the self emptying deck. I'm always scared of bugs climbing in there and nesting before I get to empty it. This being said, I love it, and it's not even my first Dreame: I've never been able to find a better quality/price deal.
r/CleaningTips • Self emptying robot vacuums for homes with many pets? ->Did this and it’s perfect. The install is VERY involved and there’s some text that says “your thousand dollar robot is waste if you fuck up this part of the install” but once it’s done it’s amazing. All the advertised (by dreame) features work great including mapping, virtual zones, single room cleaning, schedules, etc are all great. You do definitely need to know what you’re doing though.
r/homeassistant • For the tech enthusiasts who aren’t in the profession: how much more would you be willing to pay for a de-clouded robot vacuum? ->Dreame has a great vacuum mop combo!
r/nextfuckinglevel • Effectiveness of a robot vacuum ->My old dreame (liidar only) went through poop before so trust me, I get it. The mess... You can't expect it to be 100% perfect obviously. But it avoids cables and strings too, so it rarely gets tangled as well.
r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum are you getting? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
