"The models that consistently get praised for heavy pet hair are the Dreame L10s series ... both use rubber rollers and have self-cleaning brush mechanisms that actually work in practice rather than just on paper."

"On carpet it's just awful and it behaves exactly like in your video - so annoying and irritating!"
"The type of "debris" you've shown, basically "slides off" the rubber brush and gets left there as the brush doesn't make traction on it to lift it. ... Yes fabric gets embedded deeper and makes more traction with the carpet. And the brush, being basically a flat slab of rubber, can't lift it up as it doesn't have enough traction."
"3" fibers but a little flat. All my robots this far have gotten bogged down on it. Roborock qrevo and dreame l10s at least made it off 🤷🏾♂️"

"I previously had a Dreame L10s, it is big upgrade ... Has all the latest features like extending brush/mop"
I had a **Dreame L10s Plus** that suddenly stopped dispensing water. It could only be used for dry mopping. I tried to clean the nozzles, but that didn't help. The retailer told me to return it, which I did. Then I bought a **Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2**, which left large amounts of water on the wooden floor. Water drops would be an understatement. I tried all the settings in this area, but it always leaked water. Deactivating Mop Extend didn't help either. Cleaning the mops was very noisy and drying them was unbearable. Again, the dealer told me to return the device. And then I made the mistake of buying a **DREAME L40 Ultra AE**. It made constant beeping noises while mopping and also left water stains on the wooden floor. Cleaning the mops was also noisy and drying them was again unbearable. I returned this one too. So, for me, the Dreame chapter is closed forever. My only luck in this odyssey was that I bought from a customer friendly seller.
OK, so first of all, I have no brand loyalty towards either brand, in fact, I bought my first and only Roborock and Dreame robot vacuums when I moved into my new place. Before I bought them, I did a great amount of research, and the consensus seems to be that Roborock is the superior one mostly due to its more robust software. The models I bought were: Roborock Qrevo Edge and Dreame L10s Plus. Been using them both for about half a year. I bought the then top-of-the-range Roborock for downstairs with mostly timber and tiles (with two rooms with carpets), and the mid-range Dreame for upstairs with mostly carpets. I'm based in Australia so our selections are limited. I purposely looked for a high-end model for my downstairs and a mid-range model for my upstairs. Here's the spoiler: the Roborock is shockingly bad, whereas the Dreame works really well. I have to vent... I should caveat that my downstairs is a lot more challenging than my upstairs. But either way, I keep my house very tidy and clean in general. Having said that: The Dreame just works, I only use it for vacuuming, no mopping at all. Accessory maintenance is also extremely simple and straightforward, no tools required. The Roborock on the other hand: - It often gets stuck at odd places, like the bottom of a kitchen stool, or an internal door's door stop, or under my gym bench, etc. Once it even simply stopped in the middle of the floor where there was no obstacles at all... I now have to put a bunch of small exclusion zones on the map. - Contrary to what I read everywhere, the Roborock app is much slower compared to the Dreame's. The Dreame app opens quickly, and then you can click into the device which immediately opens up the map, and you can immediately go into the menus. The Roborock app on the other hand, has a longer splash screen for opening, then it spends a good 3-5 seconds loading the map, only then you're able to access its menus. This is on Android. - The map often gets "corrupted", like, somehow the whole map gets drifted and out of sync with the reality. So every now and then I have to get into the app to "restore" the saved map. - Changing the side brush requires a screwdriver, ok not great but not a biggy. But today when I was changing the main brush, I just discovered how awful this experience is. For Dreame, you just plug out the old main brush and plug in the new one, done in 5 seconds. For this Roborock, the main brush is made up of two brushes on each side, and each one has a tiny screw, and because I didn't know how fragile they were, the first time I unscrewed one, the screw actually dropped INSIDE the robot. Took me a good 10 minutes to shake it out. Then, once you unscrewed it, you have to get a plier to take out a core piece to insert into each replacement brush. The whole thing took minutes to complete even without dropping the screw... First world problems, I know. Suffice to say I am very disappointed with this Roborock. YMMV obviously, I'm sure there are heaps of happy Roborock customers but unfortunately I'm not one of them. :(
Hi, I'm considering Roborock for my next robot vacuum after my first robovac, a Dreame L10s Plus, failed after only 6 months. Despite being a basic budget model (\~200€), the L10s Plus had some interesting features: an auto-emptying dock, mop pads that lift on carpets, and an optional TriCut main brush for hair cutting. With the TriCut brush instead of the default all-rubber brush, carpet performance was noticeably better. That said, it also had major limitations. The dock doesn't wash the mop pads, so it quickly became a vacuum-only robot. Obstacle avoidance was average: good at detecting carpets and large objects, but it frequently bumped into table legs. It also had no camera and relied purely on LiDAR. It cleaned good on hard floors but struggled with carpets: it was "clean" visually but I really needed to get my Dyson to get the job done: even on my thin carpet it left a remarkable amount of dirt! I'm now looking for a Roborock model with at least comparable features. I found a Qrevo Master for 499€ on Amazon, which seems like a good deal. According to VacuumWars, it scores very well for deep carpet cleaning (79), but I noticed the airflow (CFM) is relatively low (\~13).. and for some reason my brain is stuck on that number lol I can't really compare this to my L10s Plus since it hasn't been tested, and it's a much more budget-oriented model compared to the L10s Ultra or other higher-end Dreame robots. I think the Qrevo Master would be much better for sure.. I'm also not focusing on kPa numbers, as they don't seem to mean much, brands are clearly just throwing big random numbers in the title to make their products look better. Ideally, I'm looking for a robot vacuum that has: \- A camera \- Extending mop and side brush \- Hot water mop washing \- Strong deep carpet cleaning performance \- Auto power adjustment (if it even exists?) / a dirt detect sensor thing \- Low enough (around 10-12 cm) to go under my couch So I'd love some feedback from Qrevo Master owners: \- How does it actually perform on carpets? \- How well does it deal with long hair? Beyond the Qrevo Master, are there any similar/more recent Roborock models in this price range (\~500€)? I did look at the Qrevo CurvX, but it's way out of my budget. Thanks!
L10s are not reliable, atleast for me, always had issues. I've read a lot of good reviews from the MOVA P50 Ultra but there’s also the P50 **Pro** Ultra They are the same but the first one does not have a camera (the obstacle avoidance is still good) BUT the camera could be useful to check on your dog when you're not at home! The camera can also avoid the robot from cleaning accidental poops.. It cuts hair off the brush, it cleans the mop pads with hot water and dries them with hot air. The station has a detergent compartment (only included in the Pro version, otherwise you have to buy it separately) that it uses to wash its mop pads so they are extra clean. The P50 had issues with fragile plastics and front wheel but it is fixed now according to recent reviews. Make sure to buy it through Amazon for extra safety as Dreame/Mova customer service is not perfect.. The QV 35S is not a good choice, it does not clean the mop pads with hot water and only cool air drying which can leads to less effective mopping and odors. I'd go with the P50 Pro Ultra😊the Pro is ~100€ more but worth it I think.
Hi again hahaha Just in case it’s not an official mod! Someone made it and I came across the mod while browsing thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6847208 I think it can be improved, also I wonder if someone could make a 3D model of a brush with bristles :0 I no longer have a robovac. I had a Dreame L10s but it broke and I’m still waiting for a repair although I will later ask for a refund.. (Amazon forcing me to get it repaired and then I will be able to get a refund🤔) I’m now looking for a new one but they are either overpriced or always missing one feature I want.. I really hate how there’s plenty of models!! Always new ones when brands could focus on one model and not let the others down..
Mova P50 Ultra. I have the Pro version and I previously had a Dreame L10s, it is big upgrade Has all the latest features like extending brush/mop, lifting mop. Hot water mop cleaning, hot air drying. Tricut brush for hair tangles. The Eufy E25 Omni is also a great choice if you want a roller mop and a camera based obstacle avoidance. Otherwise it really depends on your floor type and your needs.
Great! Thank you! Can I ask why you didn’t like the TriCut brush? My old Dreame L10s (rest in peace) had a rubber brush (same as the Mova one) and did not clean well the carpets sadly. That’s why I switched to the TriCut brush and the P50 already comes with this brush 😅😂
Please stay away from the L10 models, not reliable. Mine broke 6 months after, the water pump stopped working. Currently trying to get it fixed but Dreame is taking ages and keep asking me to send pictures. The crazy thing is that I’m still under warranty and they will not care. Worst customer service, I suggest staying away from these models or from Dreame at all..
I have L10s Plus, which is the L10s Pro Gen2 with auto-emptying station. Quite happy with it, all things considered. I got it for £259 on sale on the Dreame website, for that price there's nothing better. I come from a bot without self-emptying station (Mi Robot Vacuum Mop 2 Pro Plus) and I wasn't sure I needed one with. So my options were: - Dreame L10s Pro Gen2 - Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S20+ - Dreame L10s Plus (which just costed £10 more than Pro Gen2) Reason why the only bot with self-emptying station considered is L10s Plus is because it's the one with the smallest station and still ticks all other boxes (i.e. front obstacles avoidance, side wall sensor, mops, available in white, available in the UK, below £400). I originally was convinced to go for the Xiaomi S20+ which in the UK has an extremely low price (£179), but I ended up not getting that because apparently for no reason whatsoever they've removed the option to do 2x cleaning. So I decided to go with the L10s Pro Gen2 which is its (almost twin) sibling (but with software by Dreame and with 2x/3x cleaning available)... But since the L10s Plus was just £10 more than L10s Pro Gen2, then I got the Plus. And I must say, I'm happy I did. I always thought I didn't want/need a self-emptying station, but now that I do have it... It's really really really convenient. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know :)
This is exactly the same as my L10s Plus - same rated "pa" value and same default brush (all rubber single brush). On carpet it's just awful and it behaves exactly like in your video - so annoying and irritating! I've found that using the mixed rubber/bristles brush that came with my old Mi Robot Vacuum Mop 2 Pro+ (Mijia 1T), also manufactured by Dreame, the pickup ability on carpet becomes much much better. That's the same brush that comes for instance with the Dreame F9 and D9 (1st generation) and Mijia 1C. The type of "debris" you've shown, basically "slides off" the rubber brush and gets left there as the brush doesn't make traction on it to lift it. The long bristles help a lot, at least on my experience. Maybe have a go? My Roomba j7 Combo (not even an s9) used to do much better on carpet, thanks to the counter rotating rubber brushes, as they have a lot of tiny "notches" that really help with picking up stuff on carpet.
I have 2 Dreame L10S, the gen 1 and the gen 2. about $400 each. they work very well and integrate into HA.
To da radę. No chyba ,że chcesz robota puścić 5x po to by potem samemu nadać 'ostatnie szlify' zmiotką. Ale jak będziesz jeździć nim codziennie/raz na dwa dni to będziesz zadowolony . Ja raz na tydzień przejadę miotłą i mopem i jestem i da się żyć.
Thanks so much for all this! You convinced me, got the same one😂 there was a sale and the plus was ended up cheaper than the pro Gen2!
They are worth it if you do not want to depend on housemaids. It does not matter if your floor is wood or carpeted or granite. It works good for all floor types. Only problems l faced are the corners and with height clearance of sofas and cots. I got 1 for 40k with water tank and dust storage. Working for about 8 months at my parents place. Works great but needs regular checks. One of my best investments.
I have the Dreame L10 Plus. I got this to check and make sure it works well. I regret not spending 5k more on the Dreame L10 Ultra. L10 Plus is without dust collection, but believe me, L10 Ultra will be definitely worth it. I have small rubber base mats on every door and the robot moves along without problem.
- Dreame robo vacuum flashed with valetudo: cheap, private and clean - Automatic blinds with HA control to automatically close/open on sunny side on hot days: always cool and no need to think about - esp-devices like wemos d1 Mini with esphome: super cheap all-round devices, generic base software with crazy variability and perfect HA integration
