Xiaomi models made by dreame would be good. I had the Xiaomi S10+ as a housewarming gift and it worked great. You can use it with the dreame TriCut brush so fur will no longer get tangled with the brush. It’s cheap to get the real one on AliExpress. The price varies a lot by region though. It’s not very good at avoiding cables but good at mopping up my dog’s drool (you have to clean the mops afterward and dampen it before any mopping run). You could also consider the S20+ if you’d like it to be able to lift its mops. Both aren’t the best at obstacle avoidance as they are dreame models with some features castrated like a RGB camera for AI computer vision. It worked well at avoiding my dog’s decently big toys (4cm tall on the ground). If you want better obstacle avoidance you can look to the original dreame models like the Dreame L10s Pro Gen 2 Robot Vacuum (LDS only and 299). If you want an auto empty dock (recommended for shedding friends), you could look to Roborock’s Q5 Max+ or the Dreame L10s Plus. https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-robot-vacuum/
r/RobotVacuums • Robot Vac Recommendations Please! ->Do note you will have to clear out any tangles on the side of the brush from time to time. I recommend buying an officially refurbished dreame model L10 something model as you can use the TriCut brush and the self driven self cleaning mop washing tray with it.
r/Dreame_Tech • What are the best robot vacuums under $500 ->Dreame’s L10S Pro Ultra Gen 2 can use the antitangle TriCut brush. It has worked perfectly for my long haired corgi that sheds so much. A small amount of fur will collect on the sides of brushes if you don’t use the correct brush cover which prevents this from happening. For the QRevo S, the all rubber brush works well at resisting tangles with fur collecting on the sides but as soon as there’s a cut on the rubber, it’ll easily tangle (same for Dreame’s all rubber brush). I think both robots have an easy to clean completely removable mop pad cleaning tray. https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/s/AgXP4k48pP There’s also the L40 Ultra at 399 in the US but not in Amazon.
r/RobotVacuums • Finally narrowed it down to 2 options... Which one though? ->Thanks for sharing! I hypothesize that the X50 Ultra's poor battery life is likely due to the more power-hungry computer chip it utilizes. My own experience with the L40s Pro Ultra (mainland Chinese version) had a *worse battery life* that struggled to finish cleaning my home whereas my much cheaper combo Xiaomi robot (also mainland Chinese version) that has the same battery capacity and is also made by Dreame would be able to vacuum first and then mop my small apartment and finish with 50%. Other reviewers have reported that the L40s Pro Ultra (non-mainland Chinese edition) had a bad battery life, just like me :( Hopefully, this issue will be fixed soon. I hope the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track doesn't suffer the same battery life issue, especially because it'll need a more powerful chip to process all the information coming from the HD binocular RGB cameras and the dot projector, and a power-efficient water heater in the robot to heat the water up.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy ->The D10s Plus does indeed have a mop but it is not the power (spinning) mops, it's just a fixed "drag" mop. The mop is also not self-cleaning at the base station and the base station does not have a water tank, so you have to manually fill the small water tank in the vacuum. Basically, the D10s Plus is just the cheapest Dreame vacuum you can get right now that has an auto empty base station for the vacuum part. Not something you probably want to get specifically for the mop feature. Moving to the L10s Pro Gen 2 you get a power mop but lose the auto empty base station. This is the cheapest vacuum so if you don't care about auto empty base station and just want a more basic vacuum this might be the better buy but having the auto empty base station is REALLY nice. It's a pretty minor price difference right now. The L10s Plus is the same vacuum as the L10s Pro Gen 2 but comes with an auto empty base station for the vacuum, but still no self-cleaning mops or water tanks in the base station. With the L10s Ultra you get the self-cleaning power mops and a base station with a clean water tank, a grey water tank, and water detergent dispenser. The water tank in the vacuum also gets automatically refilled from the tank in the base station. The L10s Pro Ultra adds heated water to the mop cleaning and one of the mop pads can swivel out a bit to help mop against edges. The advertised suction power of the vacuums also varies with the models, generally getting more powerful the higher up the model list you go. They all have lidar and camera systems and I'd guess the "AI" and obstacle avoidance features are the same in all models.
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? ->Wow, what a detailed comparison! Since you're the dream guru, do you happen to know if the app is the same for the L10sPro Gen 2 and the D9 Mac Gen 2? I ask because I recently got the L10sPro Gen 2, and I really love the app—it has some awesome features. However, I'm not too impressed with the mopping; it leaves round streaks. I'm considering switching to the D9 Mac Gen 2 since it has one big mop pad, but I don't want to lose the app's features. Thanks in advance!
r/Dreame_Tech • Dreame comparison of September 2024 robot lineup ->Good to know it would be a downgrade. I did have a Bobsweep pet slam with static mop pad and it cleaned amazing well (until the machine died) but i do like the L10s' ability to switch to vacuum when it encounters a door mat. From your comparison sheet, i looks like the D9 does not have as good object detection. I'll try your suggestions.
r/Dreame_Tech • Dreame comparison of September 2024 robot lineup ->using the low water option helped a bit. can still see swirl pattern. i'm going to get another set of pads (i was handwashing the one set i have) hope that will help.
r/Dreame_Tech • Dreame comparison of September 2024 robot lineup ->I have the **L10S Pro Gen 2** and it has exceeded my expectations. I figured that I didn't need the sophisticated base station and I was right. Besides, those stations bring more potential breaking points. Simply cleaning the pads and emptying the bagless dust bin takes 1 minute. I have it hooked with Home Assistant, everything works perfectly.
r/Dreame_Tech • Are dreame robot vacuums that bad ->I don’t understand what is compelling you (& others) to disagree here. Dreame devices and rotating mop heads apply only enough pressure to really wipe something down (not scrub), the warranty is voided if you use cleaner in them, and they in no way disinfect or disappear bacteria. like I’m glad your floors look sparkling, mine do, too (the L10s second gen, the one I chose, has upgraded features and a stronger motor compared to the L20…that is, before it gave up on doing anything) but they are not actually clean lol
r/RobotVacuums • Can robot vacuums with mopping functions really clean well? ->i just got my L10s pro gen 2 (no self-washing base) on prime day and I’m stoked about it. the vacuum picked up an ton, I’ve been forced to tidy to use it (lol) and my floors are notably clean. It’s fun to watch and pretty quiet so far. Entertains my cat. It’s having a hard time climbing up on one small rug so I just blocked it off since that one’s not important to me. has kinda gotten stuck in a thought loop beside that area so I have to troubleshoot a little. I had originally thought the machine itself had both a clean and dirty tank to suction gross water but it does not, so for these initial catch-up mop sessions I am taking out and rinsing the mop pads a couple times per session. I am mobile/comfy with that, don’t really find it to be too much of an inconvenience to clean? Especially when the manual mop cleaning is just once at the end. I figure as an entryway to robo vac/mop world, the L10s pro gen2 makes a ton of sense for me: - under-$450 CAD prime day price tag (compared to current $1400 price tag for the ultra) - 40% stronger suction power compared to other L10s - saving on so so much plastic waste on a non-BIFL item - limited apartment space required compared to the base on the self-cleaning model I’m excited to someday invest in a more advanced model or system when the technology has advanced (hopefully 5-10 years from now) but rn the L10s is crushing it
r/Dreame_Tech • Are Dreame Robot Vacuums really that bad? ->I really like my dreame L10s pro gen 2 … it is the upgraded dreame model (stronger than their ultra model with a base) with rotating disk mop pads, but it comes with no base. This does mean - cons: - that you have to manually wash mop pads - I bought a few extras - you have to refill the water tank/empty dust bin more often (I’ll pause a mop cleaning to rinse pads between big rooms) but pros: - under $350cad at my time of purchase - much smaller square footage / no ugly base in my tiny apartment, and less plastic waste in the event the tech craps out - no deep cleaning or maintenance needed for a base … personally for me, regular maintenance and attention to machine while it is going is easier than remembering to deep clean a base filled with water and chemicals and weeks-old grime. Plus it keeps the mop head wetter/cleaner/more efficient during sessions when I do it myself vs machine kinda rinsing it every so often. This might be the exact opposite of what other people need, but idk. the fancy ones were also just straight-up outta my price range so it was the biggest factor for me ultimately, but I have no regrets. would choose this version again even if I had the funds in future (until the primo versions that connect to water pipes and have self-emptying bases and a rolling mop bar.. like the SwitchBot… become the norm and more wallet-friendly, maybe) God I sound like a walking ad (dreame plz pay me) but it’s been a game changer sooooo…
r/RobotVacuums • Mopping vacuum that isn't expensive ->I recently bought this and am very happy with it. Alternative model for me could have been the dreame l10s pro gen 2 which also has mop lift and carpet detection, but it’s way more expensive. There is nothing with these features in this price range except the s20+
r/RobotVacuums • Thinking about buying a Xiaomi Vacuum S20+, what could be an alternative? ->From my experience. Roborock Q8 very good for the price, S7 Maxv little better than S8, both great, Dreame L10S Pro as great. The newer more expensive stuff is even little better like X40 Ultra, but it has the docks.. Electrolux i9.2 had suprisingly good obstacle avoidance, could even avoid small cables, but god did that robot suck in anything else.
r/Roborock • All I want is a kick ass VACUUM ONLY robot with the best object detection, why can't you make this? ->I have been using three L10 pros since the end of 2021 and they are still working. Had to change one battery a month ago. Valetudo works great. However, the robots lose WiFi connectivity regularly even if they are located directly below an access point. So, all in all I am happy with the robots.
r/Dreame_Tech • Are Dreame Robot Vacuums really that bad? ->I've been reviewing several lately and one that continues to stand out for me is my L10S Gen2. It's just unapologetically good. In my stats page, it has done 14915 square feet and 3160 minutes of total cleaning with 296 cycles. Not a single hiccup except for my sons black shoelace that was under his desk .
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot with no base station? ->I originally had issues with my X40 and since firmware 1543, it's amazing. Here are my stats (run times etc) as I own and review too many robot vacuums. These are just my Dreame ones though. L10s Gen2: 17021 Sqft --- 3449 minutes run time --- 317 cycles. No issues L20: 16934 Sqft ---- 3737 minutes run time --- 208 cycles. No issues. X40 (newer less runs): 1808 Sqft --- 359 minutes run time ---- 26 cycles
r/Dreame_Tech • Are dreame robot vacuums that bad ->My x50 is great!! 😊 best robot vac I’ve ever invested in. Owner for a 4 months but it’s suction and mopping ability really help maintain home cleanliness and we love all the app featrues. I still use a cord less z20 when I need to do more deep carpet cleaning. Also places the bot can’t go I do need to grab my z20 to do places that robot just can’t go. Upgraded from a L10sgen2 which was great for about 4yrs. We almost bought the x40 ultra but really wanted that extra suction and dual detangle brush.
r/Dreame_Tech • Are Dreame Robot Vacuums really that bad? ->I will 2nd the dreame L 10. I’m fucking amazed at how well it works. We have two dogs and three cats and my wife back moved, prior to buy a mess, daily as well as mopped a couple to few times a week. We wake up every morning with gorgeous clean floors. Like I said, I’m truly amazed. Recent cleaning https://i.imgur.com/BXWtZEn.png
r/RobotVacuums • Need RoboVac Recommendation Budget up to 700usd ->I just bought a L 10 second generation and I’m blown away.
r/RobotVacuums • Need RoboVac Recommendation Budget up to 700usd ->Dreame gen2 is better ;)
r/RobotVacuums • I’m on a tight budget but want a decent robotic vacuum that can mop ->I think this is the way. When my L10s worked, it was wonderfull. When I had to use support, it was really really terrible for months and months to get it fixed. Which it is still not till this day after the second trip to the repairshop sinds jan 24...
r/Dreame_Tech • Are Dreame Robot Vacuums really that bad? ->L40 Ultra with current in store promotions will definitely make the decision a lot easier, since it can be had for $399 before tax, plus they throw in free gifts with purchase. It's a better overall model than the L10s with more suction, battery, better self washing and washboard cleaning as well. It's a steal for the price and if you were considering one over the other, I'd say overall L40 Ultra is a great value product in the market right now. Hope this helps narrow down the search a little for you, and if any questions, don't hesitate to reach out. happy hunting!
r/RobotVacuums • L10S Pro Ultra vs L40 Ultra ->I don't recommend Dreame if you use an Android phone. I bought an L10s last year. It was connecting at first but after a reset it wouldn't connect to my Pixel at all. It did seem to work with my mother's iPhone but that wouldn't be useful for me so I returned it. The other big thing was that when I went to leave a negative review due to all the frustration, the review never got posted. I was fair and simply stated that for me it didn't work well with Android. I rewrote and submitted a few times; there was always a review waiting period but it was never posted. The fact that most of the Chinese robot vacuums are rated so highly on Amazon, and the fact that these companies are connected to Xiaomi has left me very suspicious that the reviews are being manipulated or bought. Many of the YouTube reviews also seem paid without any declaration of being sponsored. In contrast, the reviews from Rtings or news sites were so much more critical. I don't want to support these type of shady companies so instead I bought a Shark which I have to try soon.
r/RobotVacuums • HELP! Getting decision fatigue on all the choices and mixed reviews ->I'm between this and the dreame L10S Ugh
r/RobotVacuums • Real reviews Eufy X10???? ->Dreame l10S or l20 if you are trying to save money Dreame x30 if you have a little more money to spend Dreame X40/L40 if you want the best. If you only have hardfloors, the Eufy S1 pro I also like the QRevo Slim if you want something from Roborock but I am disappointed with its Object avoidance capabilities when compared to Dreame and Eufy. Roborock in general is quite trash at obstacle avoidance and it makes it hard for me to trust their vacuums to run on a schedule without having to babysit them but their hardware is solid and reliable. Skip the Eufy x10 that so many shills like. It's got a lot of features that look good but in reality they aren't very well implemented. I had two of them and Eufy partially refunded me for both of them due to my experience with them. Good customer support, but a bad vacuum design that struggles to pick up anything on hardfloors. For the same money I would get a Dreame l10S or L20 instead. I posted my full review here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/s/AVD9Ph2eHK
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum cleaner for a busy household? ->Return both and get a Dreame L10S certified refurbished: [https://www.ebay.com/str/dreameinnovation/Refurbished/\_i.html?store\_cat=48519196012&\_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l161211](https://www.ebay.com/str/dreameinnovation/Refurbished/_i.html?store_cat=48519196012&_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l161211) Dreame is running a sale right now and with the coupon code, the L10s is like $300 which is a steal. I have two certified refurbished X40s and they were practically brand new, no sign of previous use. Also comes with 2 year third party warranty so you don't have to deal with dreame's questionable warranty support team. Based on how much you get from returning the shark and roomba, you can get 2 L10s robots or maybe one x30/x40. The Dreame vacuums are far better for the money due to their advanced features like object avoidance and they have good vacuum performance. Roborock has good vacuum performance but severely lacks in the object avoidance realm. Eufy has good object avoidance but not so great vacuum performance. iRobot and Shark are in a tier below Dreame, Roborock and Eufy.
r/RobotVacuums • Need advice on which vacuum to keep my ->I love my Dreame L10S. They have higher end models but this was the most I wanted to shell out.
r/oddlysatisfying • Cleaning up the mess ->I've never checked mine empties great - L10s
r/Dreame_Tech • Time to find a Better robot ->I have the Dreambot L10s we don't have any tatami so I can't speak to that but I have had literally no complaints.
r/japanresidents • Robot vacuum recommendations? ->From what I’ve heard the mopping is more or less useless on the l60 whereas the dreame having the dual rotation mops would perform great if it’s anything like the other dreame’s. You could also buy the dreame tricut brush from AliExpress if the hair cutting tool that the l60 has is something you want.
r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody looking to buy Black Friday/Cyber Monday? ->So I bought a q revo and dreame l10s and compared them directly and ended up keeping the l10s because it seems to do a better job of mopping (and is willing to mop in skinnier areas of my hard floor around rugs). I don't mind the worse app with dreame, it's completely usable and reliable, just with weird translations. I genuinely like the roborock carpets first feature but I don't miss it with scheduling. If you can afford the l40 ultra, that's what I would buy for the best features (hot water mop washing, self cleaning washboard, water turbidity sensor, mop extend & lifting brush, hair cutting roller). How much more expensive are the premier q revo models in your area (the master, slim, edge, curv)? If theyre the same price (or you can afford the slight increase) I'd get those for the best of both worlds: premier features and the superior roborock app.
r/RobotVacuums • HELP! Getting decision fatigue on all the choices and mixed reviews ->Seems like Roborock and Dreame are the to leaders depending on desired features and price range. I have an older S4 that is great and an L10s in another location.
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? ->Identify the features you want and go from there. Let the features drive the realistic price. For me that was Lidar, self-empty, mopping pads that spin and not just dragged behind. Those features ended up with me getting a Dreame L10s for around $700
r/RobotVacuums • Can robot vacuum truly deep clean your home? ->Dreame L10s is what I have with 5 kids. I like it
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum cleaner for a busy household? ->It depends on how much you consider your floors being really clean a life changer. I view it as a life changer, I've now bought 6 Dreame vacuums (everyone in my family now has one, and every one of them loves it), only one has given serious issues, the rest have been pretty problem free. I recommend trying to get at least the 20 series or better, it is a significantly better product then the older models. The L10 is quite weak on corners/wall edges (and needless to say the 40 is the best). I've used other brands in the past, and Dreame is easily the best experience I had by far. Their customer service does suck though for the one I had issues with. Buy from Amazon so you have a good return policy in case it doesn't work well early on. I believe if you buy starting Oct 1st, the return date will be 1/31/2025 so you know you got at least 4 months of a good warranty.
r/Dreame_Tech • Are dreame robot vacuums that bad ->I have this one as well, but the version without the self emptying deck. I'm always scared of bugs climbing in there and nesting before I get to empty it. This being said, I love it, and it's not even my first Dreame: I've never been able to find a better quality/price deal.
r/CleaningTips • Self emptying robot vacuums for homes with many pets? ->YES. It is most definitely that bad. It’s bad on hard floors but god forbid you run it on a carpet. I have a video of it just plowing through fake dog poop on carpets. Edit: I have owned both the roomba j series and dreame l series, and both are so so much better.
r/Roborock • Is the AI and obstacle avoidance really that bad? ->I tested the roomba j series and the l series from dreame and both perfectly did the test
r/Roborock • Roborock Obstacle Avoidance Sucks ->I tested the roomba j series and the l series from dreame and both perfectly did the test
r/Roborock • Roborock Obstacle Avoidance Sucks ->Because both my Dreame L series and Roomba J series did the same test flawlessly
r/Roborock • Roborock Obstacle Avoidance Sucks ->For crevices, you need a robot with a bristle main brush. Dreame L series and Mova usually use rubber brushes, which, according to reviewers on YT, don't pick up dust in crevices well unlike bristle ones. Some Roborock model like Q5 Pro, Q8 Max, Qrevo S, and QV35A/S also uses a similar brush. I think if you don't mind with prices, E28 or E25 is a good candidate because its roller mop is superior. Roborock also has a new lineup called S5A which is the cheaper version of Qrevo Edge. Now it's $899 on Amazon. S5A uses a similar Duo Divide split brush as in Qrevo Edge and Eufy E28, a self-empty station, and obstacle avoidance but only using structured light without a live camera.
r/RobotVacuums • I just want the best robo vac available and the research is killing me ->The Dreame robot mop system is our favorite new roommate! We have a new and an older iRobot Roomba vacuums and recently got this one for the main floor. We're very happy with it. It's available in many different price ranges.
r/homeimprovementideas • Robot vacuum for home - what is the best under $500 ->Got the dream a few weeks ago. It's a game changer. I had a Neato and a few iRobots over the years. With those units, I spent more time pulling out dog hair and untangling rollers than actually using the product. This is a lot more advanced, and with the self emptying, it's pretty great. All I do now is swap out the water tanks every day. Gripes? The mop pad on the base station gets hairy. It has difficulty getting dirt between the edge of the rug and the hardwood floors. It's expensive. All in all, it's a nice machine.
