"vac + mop ... self-cleaning ... if you want hands-off, go robot. Total game changers i would say"

"However their new aceclean dryboard on the L/V/X50 Ultra and newer is much easier to clean even when only the filter is removable since there’s no nooks and crannies for dirt to hide in and dirt only really collects under the removable filter which is easily removed with a wet wipe or a Clorox wipe. ... The robots with the best self cleaning will be Dreame’s L/X50 Ultra/L40S Ultra/Pro Ultra"

"It sets off by itself every morning and does its thing ... we empty the base dustbag every 6-8 weeks or so"

"it does great with a long haired GS, a VERY long haired husky/mal mix, a long haired cat, a short haired cat, and a long haired woman in the house."

"handles pet hair like a champ"

"I have 2 goldens and this year invested in a robot mop/vacuum and it has been a game changer. ... It doesn’t replace needing to vacuum but helps so I don’t have to do it as frequently. ... I’m way less overwhelmed by the hair."

"It's just very bad performance when it comes to vacuuming. ... This has been the same performance since day 1 with original brush also. ... It seems the suction is not as close to the floor as it should be. ... My budget eufy L60 can pick up this debris with no issue on deeper carpet. ... This is the most basic requirement of any vacuum."

"suctions isn’t good ... it constantly misses spots ... it also takes 3.5 hours to vacuum the same area my roborock does in 1 hour but cleans up less. ... I did a test and ran the dreame for 5 days straight on regular vacuum and then right after ran the roborock when the RR was done it had a full bin. Ran the RR two days later and it picked up a bunch then ran the dream and it was almost empty. It’s just crazy how bad the performance is."

"My L20 sucks at vacuuming btw. ... I have medium to low pile carpet and after a 2x run, I still see small pieces of fabric / lint remaining. The roller brush just can't pick it up."

"The issue with those brushes is that it will tangle hair like crazy. ... I have multiple females that shed hair at a crazy rate. ... I would think the brush would get clogged after a day or two. ... Can't deal with manually untangling the brush that often. ... I wish dreame had utilized something similar."

"the vacuum gets clogged with dog fur immediately and then just rolls the rest around and forms clumps. ... I have one big dog. ... My old Roomba never had a problem with two big dogs (one was the same and the other shed waaay more)."

"the Tri-Cut is amazing for zero tangles, but it does trade off a bit of contact pressure, especially on medium/deep carpet."

"Dreame support is basically non existent. ... Just do research here on people's experiences here on warranty repairs and replacement. 9/10 times they get a device back in worse condition or device is just kept hostage."

"I will be claiming warranty via all state as soon as the first year period is over because I don't trust sending it back to dreame at all."

"The dreame support is actually trash so not looking for that company tbh. ... dreame, just based upon my experience has some trash customer service lol ... yeah, I bought mine from Amazon. A year later I was having issues, I frequently get bounced between the US/Chinese team and it's been torture lol"

So, i have the z60 standalone, i'm trying to fix water drops with different configuration types. But the mapper and the vacumm works well. I don't know why but compared with my old Dreame L20 Ultra, seem have less built quality, that's why i'm thinking of try luck with Aqua10.

Pleased you are amused. What is the point in telling people bull shit. I've had an L20, L40, X40. The only one with no issues was the L20 and is still going strong. The L40 and X40 were replaced twice. I've had problems with Samsung . . I'm currently running a roborock, useless with obstacle avoidance, excellent on carpet, and a Eufy E28, very good but a very basic app. It isn't just about Dreame it's about giving no bull shit honest opinions

I read this stuff and wonder to myself did I get the only properly functioning robot but then I remember I have 2 and both of them function just fine. L20 Ultra and L10S. Is it just people with no issues say nothing? Are people not doing regular maintenance? I am not doubting anything said here but am genuinely confused as to how there can be so many issues.

Dreame l20 ultra has been amazing for our home. 2 kids and a dog. It’s gets around and only got stuck 1 or 2 time over the last 3 months. We have been very happy with our unit. Smart and gets to all the rooms.

I have 2 dreame L20 Ultras, the app and smarts in navigating is just good, it simply works compared to other units I see on here. I literally just set it and have forgotten about it for the week. All I need to do is remember to change the water, which I constantly forget to do it because the unit just does it thing without me needing to intervene.

r/homeassistantWhat is the best robot vacuum currently that's really worth buying?

I have a dreame l20 ultra. It looks really well, but the vacuum gets clogged with dog fur immediately and then just rolls the rest around and forms clumps. It's still better than vacuuming manually because I can just pick up the clumps. I'm thinking about being in a second vacuum to help with the fur. I have one big dog. My old Roomba never had a problem with two big dogs (one was the same and the other shed waaay more). I'm interested in this thread to see which is best for fur.

For three units with those needs, I'd mix Dreame L20 Ultra combos for the levels with more hard floors and Dreame D20 Pro Plus for a vacuum-only unit (it still has a basic mop, there aren't many true "vacuum only" models nowadays). These are decently priced so won't break the bank on total cost, and can all be managed together in one app (Dreame has one of the better apps out there).

What have you found best for carpet? Also cord avoidance? We have a dream L20s ultra and I’m debating putting that in the basement (virtually all carpet) but two teens with all the phone chargers that seem to be thrown around like confetti on new years and buy something fancier for upstairs which is virtually all LVP and some tile. Also— has there ever been a robot carpet cleaner? Also also, do you think the heated mops are worth it?

Dreame L20 Ultra or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. Both auto-lift mops for carpet, crush it on large homes, and need minimal babysitting 🙌

Vacuum Wars is legit. Go Dreame L20 Ultra or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. They're great for LVT, rugs, clutter, and low maintenance. Should last 3–5 yrs with basic upkeep.
