"it does great with a long haired GS, a VERY long haired husky/mal mix, a long haired cat, a short haired cat, and a long haired woman in the house."

"We have 3 cats (one long haired), a very messy toddler and dark dark wood floors all throughout our house. It was impossible to keep clean before this. I never mopped because it was a pain in the ass. Now, we run this thing once or twice a day and they are spotless when it's done!"

"I was skeptical of the mopping but after running it the first few times and the dirty water coming out like thick chocolate milk, I was pleasantly surprised that after running it every night (or maybe every 2) the dirty water is now much more clear. ... It’s clearly doing a great job at maintaining the state of the floors."

"And my floors have never been cleaner"

"vac + mop ... self-cleaning ... if you want hands-off, go robot. Total game changers i would say"

"I don't have any problems with my robot, it vacuums and mops every day and empties itself without problems with hair clogging or anything like that."

"I basically don't do any manual cleaning anymore, and I spend like 10 minutes every week cleaning the robot."

"It's just very bad performance when it comes to vacuuming. ... This has been the same performance since day 1 with original brush also. ... It seems the suction is not as close to the floor as it should be. ... My budget eufy L60 can pick up this debris with no issue on deeper carpet. ... This is the most basic requirement of any vacuum."

"suctions isn’t good ... it constantly misses spots ... it also takes 3.5 hours to vacuum the same area my roborock does in 1 hour but cleans up less. ... I did a test and ran the dreame for 5 days straight on regular vacuum and then right after ran the roborock when the RR was done it had a full bin. Ran the RR two days later and it picked up a bunch then ran the dream and it was almost empty. It’s just crazy how bad the performance is."

"My dreame l20 ultra clogs with pet hair. ... We have one golden retriever dog and it seems to not go back to the dock enough even on the highest setting to empty."

"the vacuum gets clogged with dog fur immediately and then just rolls the rest around and forms clumps. ... I have one big dog. ... My old Roomba never had a problem with two big dogs (one was the same and the other shed waaay more)."

"both had the same issue of not emptying the collection box so it was remaining jammed full of dog hair."

"Dreame support is basically non existent. ... Just do research here on people's experiences here on warranty repairs and replacement. 9/10 times they get a device back in worse condition or device is just kept hostage."

"Dreame has pretty terrible support so I'd steer away from them"

"The dreame support is actually trash so not looking for that company tbh. ... dreame, just based upon my experience has some trash customer service lol ... yeah, I bought mine from Amazon. A year later I was having issues, I frequently get bounced between the US/Chinese team and it's been torture lol"

11

6

"Obstacle avoidance is a nice to have but In my experience with Dreame, it's rubbish so far anyway; I'd rather just clear my cables away. ... I think the obstacle avoidance is more of a hindrance, in fact someone in another forum suggested turning it off because it's not been working properly for the last 12 months with the Dreame units anyway."

"My old Roborocks S5 would run rings around both for mapping and navigation. ... My old Roborock vacuumed the carpet just as well as my Dreame L20, but it has better mapping and navigation, you can get a S5 for about 250 quid now probably, the L20 is about 850 and the navigation is worse."

"Navigation is terrible ... gets stuck. ... It can ‘t even vacuum in a straight line"

"The issue with those brushes is that it will tangle hair like crazy. ... I have multiple females that shed hair at a crazy rate. ... I would think the brush would get clogged after a day or two. ... Can't deal with manually untangling the brush that often. ... I wish dreame had utilized something similar."

Pleased you are amused. What is the point in telling people bull shit. I've had an L20, L40, X40. The only one with no issues was the L20 and is still going strong. The L40 and X40 were replaced twice. I've had problems with Samsung . . I'm currently running a roborock, useless with obstacle avoidance, excellent on carpet, and a Eufy E28, very good but a very basic app. It isn't just about Dreame it's about giving no bull shit honest opinions

I read this stuff and wonder to myself did I get the only properly functioning robot but then I remember I have 2 and both of them function just fine. L20 Ultra and L10S. Is it just people with no issues say nothing? Are people not doing regular maintenance? I am not doubting anything said here but am genuinely confused as to how there can be so many issues.

I bought the Dreame L20 Ultra for 600 on Amazon. Best vacuum I've ever had. Also it integrates with Home Assistant very nicely. I can voice control it to clean whichever room I want. Still figuring out how to set parameters with voice or set up buttons that automatically set them to what I want, but the ability IS there.

I have a dreame l20 ultra. It looks really well, but the vacuum gets clogged with dog fur immediately and then just rolls the rest around and forms clumps. It's still better than vacuuming manually because I can just pick up the clumps. I'm thinking about being in a second vacuum to help with the fur. I have one big dog. My old Roomba never had a problem with two big dogs (one was the same and the other shed waaay more). I'm interested in this thread to see which is best for fur.

What have you found best for carpet? Also cord avoidance? We have a dream L20s ultra and I’m debating putting that in the basement (virtually all carpet) but two teens with all the phone chargers that seem to be thrown around like confetti on new years and buy something fancier for upstairs which is virtually all LVP and some tile. Also— has there ever been a robot carpet cleaner? Also also, do you think the heated mops are worth it?

Been using a Dreame L20 Ultra since 2023. Running both the Dreame integration along with the Xiaomi Cloud Map Extractor card. Both in HACS. https://preview.redd.it/6g0m2ipz1gqe1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=248316a3edcde91a6904c3dd2ca2eaedb9e828e4 I set up my Inovelli switches to be triggers to clean specific areas/rooms. For example, I can press one of the buttons 4 times and it sends the robot to clean that specific room. Game changer for the family.

There is a chance it improves. I bought qrevo maxv a few weeks after release and it was miserable in obstacle avoidance so much I went back to dreame l20 on the main floor. Then I kinda forgot about it for a few months and somehow it improved amazingly. Just software catching up I guess

you can disable the need for it to go back to clean mops... I have an L20 Ultra and everytime i want it to clean upstairs i just manually start the mop wash cycle and then press the home button so it drives out frome the base and just carry it upstairs. Make sure you have intelligent recognition on for map switching. That's it

I can but i probably would just get you in the false direction because I noticed that almost every robot has a bit different layout and design when you tap on the robot to see the map. But try to look in the main screen when you tap the robot to see the map under dock settings and auto self cleaning… I’m not sure why but I noticed that they “fixed” this with an update for my L20 Ultra. So that I don’t need to disable it any more when it cleans the upper floor and also doesn’t complains that it wants to clean it mops… Please tell me if you found the option and if it worked for you ;)

Bought Dreame L20 Ultra on Black Friday sale, couldn’t be happier. Vacuum, mop, object detection, path planning, self-emptying are all top notch. Really happy with the purchase. Was considering Eufy Omni as well, but multiple reviews said the suction isn’t great. It’s good at everything else though

Any of the newer robot vacuums have the mop extender like the dreame? I initially bought the eufy x10 pro omni but sent it back because I liked the mopping from the dreame l20 ultra. I felt the eufy left streaks in the floor upon comparison. However, after almost a year I'm less impressed with the dreame and am looking for something else.

Although both models have a mop extend feature. Dreame has a better mop extend firmware than roborock. I think Dreame can also swing the extended mop, making it useful for under furniture like fridges where stains tend to accumulate or your cabinets. Although this feature wasn’t initially released with the L20 Ultra, I’ve seen users post about how the mop swing feature came to older models such as the L20 Ultra as well. The L20 Ultra will be smarter at keeping itself out of trouble compared to the Q Revo Plus as it has a RGB camera with a fill light and structured light to recognize and avoid objects when the Q Revo Plus only has structured light based avoidance. The L20 Ultra’s base station is better at helping the robot decide whether it needs to rewash its mops and go over a certain area again with its water turbidity sensor. If you want a set and forget detergent kit, only the Dreame L20 Ultra has this as a detergent cartridge. You can empty it and also add a detergent of your own choice. If you’re in the US, you could also look at Dreame’s certified refurbished models on their official eBay store. They do come with 2 years of warranty from either Dreame or Allstate (I’ve seen complaints of Allstate’s warranty being difficult to use compared to dreame’s). I also have seen people complain about the inconsistent quality of the refurbished goods but thankfully you’re covered under warranty. However, the price is unbeatable, the X40 Ultra is 799 USD.

Thanks for sharing! I hypothesize that the X50 Ultra's poor battery life is likely due to the more power-hungry computer chip it utilizes. My own experience with the L40s Pro Ultra (mainland Chinese version) had a *worse battery life* that struggled to finish cleaning my home whereas my much cheaper combo Xiaomi robot (also mainland Chinese version) that has the same battery capacity and is also made by Dreame would be able to vacuum first and then mop my small apartment and finish with 50%. Other reviewers have reported that the L40s Pro Ultra (non-mainland Chinese edition) had a bad battery life, just like me :( Hopefully, this issue will be fixed soon. I hope the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track doesn't suffer the same battery life issue, especially because it'll need a more powerful chip to process all the information coming from the HD binocular RGB cameras and the dot projector, and a power-efficient water heater in the robot to heat the water up.

The Dreame L20 Ultra will be the best out of the three for obstacle avoidance due to the addition of a LED light on the RGB camera (which I recommend you keep your door closed for so the light won’t disturb you when you sleep). You could also consider running it during the day so it wouldn’t disturb you when you’re sleeping.

Due to some unlucky circumstances I were able to test 3 different robot vacuums over the last 2 years and can give you a quick long hair review. * Roborock S7+: I needed scissors to remove the long hair from the brush. * Dreame L20 Ultra: Better, all the hair basically moved to the end of the brushes and I could rather quickly remove them with my hands. * Roborock Qrevo Curv: FINALLY! It has a "Dual Anti-Tangle-System", fancy name for one brush split in half and all the long hair get transported in the middle where the gap is and then get sucked in. It's running here for a month and there wasn't a single long hair that I had to manually remove.

Dreame l10S or l20 if you are trying to save money Dreame x30 if you have a little more money to spend Dreame X40/L40 if you want the best. If you only have hardfloors, the Eufy S1 pro I also like the QRevo Slim if you want something from Roborock but I am disappointed with its Object avoidance capabilities when compared to Dreame and Eufy. Roborock in general is quite trash at obstacle avoidance and it makes it hard for me to trust their vacuums to run on a schedule without having to babysit them but their hardware is solid and reliable. Skip the Eufy x10 that so many shills like. It's got a lot of features that look good but in reality they aren't very well implemented. I had two of them and Eufy partially refunded me for both of them due to my experience with them. Good customer support, but a bad vacuum design that struggles to pick up anything on hardfloors. For the same money I would get a Dreame l10S or L20 instead. I posted my full review here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/s/AVD9Ph2eHK

Over time and with the passage of I don't know how many robots in my house, I would say more than 15. There are none silent Roomba😂 I had the i8+ and although it had a camera and made a map of the house, it still collided with everything and made a lot of noise both when walking and when vacuuming. It sucked well, but the scrubbing was horrible. Right now I have a Dreame L20ULTRA. The truth is that I always have it in silent mode or at most standard mode. It makes little noise, sucks well and scrubs better. For now, of all the ones I've tried, I can only recommend that one.

I would recommend visiting the YouTube channel (just a dad videos) He makes many reviews of all the robot vacuum cleaners and also tests them in different situations such as avoiding obstacles, hard floors, carpets, etc. He usually buys the robots with his own money, this way he is not conditioned to give a positive review. If he doesn't like something, he will say so without problems. It helped me a lot when choosing my dreame L20ULTRA.

The truth is that I think that this robot may not be the right one for your situation, I mean that it may not be the best one for the size of your house, your animals, etc. or it may be defective. These robot vacuum cleaners have been created with the intention of taking work off of people and making it easier for us to clean at home. It is clear that the better you maintain your robot, the better it will clean your house. But it doesn't make sense to pre-clean the house so that you can then clean the robot and then clean the robot to leave it ready for the next cleaning. For that reason, I would do the cleaning myself and save the robot. Currently I have a dreame L20 ULTRA and my apartment is about 100m2 and I have two cats that shed a lot of hair, I live in front of a road and generally there are always open windows through which dust enters. I don't have any problems with my robot, it vacuums and mops every day and empties itself without problems with hair clogging or anything like that. In the last 10 years, many robots from different brands such as Roomba, neato, cecotec, Xiaomi and now dreame have passed through my house. I have had no problems with any of them but I have always felt the need to change to a better one with more features and I think that for now I will not change my L20ULTRA for anything.

If suction and smart navigation are your biggest priorities, here's what I found when I did this same research. I currently have the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra. I replaced the DreamBot L20 with the Roborock and have been very impressed with its ability of picking up pet hair and navigation. The Roomba j7 I have no expieriance with but my sister says its a great vaccum and has no complaints. The [Roborock S8 Pro Ultra](https://amzn.to/4kYsurH) is probably the most well-rounded premium option right now. Suction is excellent, the mapping is next-level (especially with multiple floors), and the self-emptying and mop-lifting features make it feel almost hands-off. It’s definitely an investment, but if you want something that actually gets deep into rugs *and* doesn’t get lost, it’s worth considering. The [iRobot Roomba j7+](https://amzn.to/4c0fzkZ) has super smart obstacle avoidance (great if you have pets or clutter), and it handles pet hair well, but its suction isn’t quite as strong as Roborock or Dreame. Still, it’s reliable and iRobot’s support is solid. If you're trying to balance price with performance, the [DreameBot L20 Ultra](https://amzn.to/427DKJQ) has been getting a lot of attention lately, strong suction, detailed mapping, and an auto-mop lifting feature. It’s kind of like the budget-conscious version of a Roborock Ultra. I’d probably skip the [Eufy X8](https://amzn.to/4hL0fKh) unless you’re on a tighter budget, it’s good, but the navigation and mopping aren’t quite on the same level as the others. I've read that it's a bit loud and struggles with battery life. Shark has great suction but can be hit-or-miss on software.

I did the exact same about 3 months ago for my dad. I got him dreame l10 ultra gen 2 and not once has he had to save it or get involved. It's been brilliant. I have it on schedule 3 days per week and it works a treat, it vacs and mops and has the dock, so it auto emptys itself so there is 0 effort maintaining it. I'd recommend it. When I visit I just do a quick check and clean the dock area and I knows it's good to go. I have the dreame l20 ultra also for the past year and it's been the same, flawless. I also love that you can share your robot with someone else, so I can keep an eye on things remotely for him.

My $.02: Not the exact model, but I have a Dreame L20 Ultra and I’ve had a couple others in the past. it’s pretty decent at it, but I’ll be honest — your best bet is just to buy a swifter and the best suction robot vacuum with LiDAR that doesn’t get stuck on crap.

I have a Dreame L20 Ultra and it does great with a long haired GS, a VERY long haired husky/mal mix, a long haired cat, a short haired cat, and a long haired woman in the house. I was sweeping DAILY, now Francois takes care of 90% of it. I am fine with the minor maintenance I have to do every couple of days (untangling or whatnot).

I got a Dreame L20 and it's helped tremendously. I have 2 cats (1 long hair, one short), and long haired German shepherd and a husky/malamute mix (FLUFFY!!!). I also have long hair. I was having to sweep the house DAILY. Now I only do it when I give "Francois" a break for a couple of days. I maintain it every other day and it's super easy to take care of. I love it so much.

We are proud owners of two very hairy Labradors. I’ve had two Dreame L20 ultra units in the last 12 months and both had the same issue of not emptying the collection box so it was remaining jammed full of dog hair. The second unit is now back with Dreame who have promised to replace it with a new unit (their customer support in the UK is seriously lacking. I had to fight every step of the way and it took over 3 weeks just to get a returns number from them. I personally found the rest of the unit good, but would never buy another Dreame machine because of their lack of customer support) Literally ordered the new Eufy S1 pro which has arrived today but I’ve not had time to unpack it yet. You mentioned above that you didn’t know the brand Eufy, they are a division of Anker (high quality chargers etc) so I have every confidence the build quality will be good.

I had a midrange roborock s5max for about 4 years. Just upgraded it because I wanted obstacle avoidance and self emptying. I bought a midrange dreame l20 I don't regret it.but the feature i wish I had but wasn't willing to pay for was the extendable corner brush. It wasn't worth $400 to me. It is also so careful with the object avoidance that it won't go into areas that were easily cleaned by my less fancy old robot that i still run sometimes for that reason. It's also very slow but i don't know if that's all object avoidance vacs or if newer higher tier ones are faster. I owned a dreame l10 ultra for a few weeks and returned it because the lack of led lights meant the obstacle avoidance camera couldn't detect in the dark.

Not to discredit what you're saying, but I've been using a dreame l20 for about 6 months now, on a 1400 Sq ft house, with a dog. I basically don't do any manual cleaning anymore, and I spend like 10 minutes every week cleaning the robot. I run the robot two times a week, once with both mopping and vacuuming, and once just vacuum. And my floors have never been cleaner Sometimes I'll do an extra clean before having people over etc. Just to add another perspective.

We've had different versions over the last 10 years or so, starting with the dumb af OG roombas that just bounced around the room missing half the crap on the floor (except the time it ran over the literal crap... That was a fun day). But now? Now we have the best home appliance created since the dishwasher. I am not exaggerating. It vacuums, mops and self empties. Cleans and heat dries the mop pads after every use. Powerful enough to thoroughly clean our rugs. Endlessly customizable with settings, routines, schedules etc. It's the Dreame L20 Ultra. My husband and I both love it so much. We paid about $650 on prime day this year. It's a lot of money but we feel that it is beyond worth it. We have 3 cats (one long haired), a very messy toddler and dark dark wood floors all throughout our house. It was impossible to keep clean before this. I never mopped because it was a pain in the ass. Now, we run this thing once or twice a day and they are spotless when it's done! Coming home after a long day at work to perfectly clean floors just does something for me 😂 highly recommend! This model has really good object avoidance and supposedly AI detection to avoid pet messes. We've had the occasional cord get caught up accidentally but overall it's worked really well and eliminates a lot of the cleaning up before it can run.

That is true for all the robot vacuums I have ever seen. My mom has a Roborock Revo Master, my uncle a Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, my brother my old Roborock S7 while I have the L20. None of them work well on taller carpets. Heck, even the battery powered handheld vacuums do not work nearly as good as a normal one. So I think this is just due to their sizes.

I would disagree as well. I have gotten the feeling these higher end vacuums are being geared to beat vacuum wars and a few of the other YouTube test environments but not actually be any good. My L20ultra has been bad at just about everything compared to my 7 year old roborock. Navigation is terrible suctions isn’t good it constantly misses spots gets stuck. It can ‘t even vacuum in a straight line it also takes 3.5 hours to vacuum the same area my roborock does in 1 hour but cleans up less. I did a test and ran the dreame for 5 days straight on regular vacuum and then right after ran the roborock when the RR was done it had a full bin. Ran the RR two days later and it picked up a bunch then ran the dream and it was almost empty. It’s just crazy how bad the performance is.

For crevices, you need a robot with a bristle main brush. Dreame L series and Mova usually use rubber brushes, which, according to reviewers on YT, don't pick up dust in crevices well unlike bristle ones. Some Roborock model like Q5 Pro, Q8 Max, Qrevo S, and QV35A/S also uses a similar brush. I think if you don't mind with prices, E28 or E25 is a good candidate because its roller mop is superior. Roborock also has a new lineup called S5A which is the cheaper version of Qrevo Edge. Now it's $899 on Amazon. S5A uses a similar Duo Divide split brush as in Qrevo Edge and Eufy E28, a self-empty station, and obstacle avoidance but only using structured light without a live camera.

Thanks for posting — that’s definitely not the carpet performance the L20 Ultra should be delivering. If you haven’t already, try switching back to the **default rubber roller** and make sure **Carpet Boost is set to High** — the Tri-Cut can sometimes push debris instead of picking it up, especially on low-pile rugs. If suction sounds normal and settings are maxed, could be worth opening a support ticket to check for a hardware issue. Appreciate the honest video — feedback like this helps.

Well, I've not owned those units, but what I have learned is, much the same as loads of technology these days, you often don't get what you pay for over and above a certain cost. Let's be honest, you can buy one hell of a normal vacuum for 500 quid, in fact you'd have to look pretty hard to spend that sort of cash on an upright vac. From where I'm standing, I don't see that much of an improvement gain on anything over 5-600 quid, the actual difference cleaning performance isn't much different between mid range and high end, it's just the techy features that people tend to get excited about and what to have the latest thing. My old Roborock vacuumed the carpet just as well as my Dreame L20, but it has better mapping and navigation, you can get a S5 for about 250 quid now probably, the L20 is about 850 and the navigation is worse. I think you're better off looking at written reviews from real people over YouTube videos because I got drawn into that and made the mistake I did. Good luck!!

Ecovacs is the worst robot vacuum, no I think the worst piece of tech I've ever owned. I was gobsmacked how they dared to charge that much money for such a massive piece of shit that my oldest S5 ran rings around. I had it 2 weeks and would NEVER by Ecovacs again. I replaced my S5 with Dream L20, which also had its issues and also replaced, but after that it's been at least ok. The S5 mapping I think is superior to both still, even over 5 years old; overall the Dream is better now, but all these new vacs aren't worth the money they ask; anything over £500 is just a waste of money for gimmick features and just to say you have the latest.

After two failures with mid to high model Roborock vacs and an IRobot decided to give the Dreamehome L20 Ultra a try. Time will tell in regards to longevity but it is out of the box far superior to any robo vac I have owned. Ive only had it about a month but its done a great job for me. One caveat: I have a Golden Retriever and they are notorious for their shedding. I have yet to find a self emptying robo vac that can self empty dog fur with any consistency. The L20 included. If it wasnt for the mop feature I like because I have all hardwood floors, I wouldn't have a self emptying unit all all. My advice is if you own a dog, especially a large one that sheds, and you don't have an interest in self mopping, then just get a robo vac without self emptying. It's pretty much pointless to spend the extra since you will be emptying it yourself anyway.

Pet hair is an issue for even the most high end robovacs when it comes to self emptying. At your budget, unless you grab a certified refurb, you're not going to find what you want. If you dont care about the mop option, you'll have an easier time finding something. I can recommend Dreamehome. Ive been through a few different vacs and my Dreamhome L20 has been the best by far and it handles pet hair very well. It even self empties better than most. I got mine for around $500 through the Dreamehome certified shop on ebay and it came with a 2yr warranty. You'll probably be able to get a similar deal now as most of those places are running pre black friday sales. As far as the other brands Ive owned, Irobots are actually pretty average and survive by brand recognition. The one Euphy I owned was not great ( it was a mid grade model, couldnt handle pet hair at all ). Ive never owned a Shark but Ive heard they are decent vacs. Good luck in your search.

For around $500 dreame l20 ultra is on sale right now as open box refurbs for around $520. It’s the best vacuum you can get for that price. It won the best vacuum of 2023 on vacuum wars, and was then rated the same or better than the newer models. I don’t think you’d see a significant upgrade from any other robot under $2k. Roborock q revo is also currently on sale for around $400. but is a bit of a step down. No detachable mops, no camera detection, no swinging mop arm. A bit less suction.

Yeah. I bit the bullet ona Dreame L20, said to the wife “if you could pay someone to vacuum and mop the floor every day for 2 years for $50 a month, would you do it? She said, yes, I bought it and it has been amazing. 2 dogs and 2 cats and we just never see hair on the floor of the one with that vacuum. I have a Wyze upstairs now and although it’s fine, it just becomes such a pain to empty it all the time and manually clean out the hair. If I had to give advice: 1. Rubber rollers always 2. Two rollers is usually better 3. Auto empty base is great, but having a detangling mechanism on the brush is helpful to make it full automated. 4. Mops, you get what you pay for and spinning is better than vibrating.

I have the L20 and let me tell you something. Dreame support is basically non existent. Just do research here on people's experiences here on warranty repairs and replacement. 9/10 times they get a device back in worse condition or device is just kept hostage. Eufy's support is on another level. This reason alone should dissuade anyone from getting dreame products. I got the L20 knowing this because I got a really good deal and a 2 year all state warranty so I knew I would be covered and didn't have to rely on dreame. My L20 sucks at vacuuming btw. Not sure if this is fixed in L40 and others but I have medium to low pile carpet and after a 2x run, I still see small pieces of fabric / lint remaining. The roller brush just can't pick it up.

Carpet boost is on. This has been the same performance since day 1 with original brush also. Lots of people have the same complaint with the L20. It seems the suction is not as close to the floor as it should be. My budget eufy L60 can pick up this debris with no issue on deeper carpet.

This. People just don't understand that spinning mops are great for the first few minutes when it is CLEAN. Once it's filled with dirty water, all its doing is just spreading that dirty water everywhere. Unless you are sending the damn thing back to wash every 5 minutes (which is not possible), you can never come close to cleanliness of the roller/track mops. Just because it looks clean to your eyes doesn't really mean anything. I say this with owning a spinning mop vac myself (Dreame L20)

I can no longer trust vacuum wars judgement on robot reviews anymore. I bought the Dreame L20 based on it being the vacuum of the year in their review but this thing can't even properly vacuum my carpet which is basically a # 1 requirement of any robot vacuum. It will pick up any dust or very fine debris but if there is a 1-3 centimeter sized string or fabric on the carpet, the suction alone isn't enough to pick it up.

Looks like you’re right, they are technically not both currently owned by xiaomi, but they share a ton of similarities. My coworker has a dreamebot and his app, replacement parts, features are nearly identical to my roborocks.

The Dreame robot mop system is our favorite new roommate! We have a new and an older iRobot Roomba vacuums and recently got this one for the main floor. We're very happy with it. It's available in many different price ranges.
