Dreame D10 Plus. Lovely little robot. Very confident. Would glide onto my tiled floor, locate a wet patch the size of a coin near the stove, and proceed to spread it into an abstract mural covering roughly two square feet. Every single time. Like it had artistic ambitions nobody asked for. I started following it around with a towel like a caddy at the world's saddest golf tournament. Replaced it once and then moved to another contender. Then I went with Dreame W10. Marketed as a wet dry all in one. What it actually did was locate every damp patch on my tiled floor and smear it into a thin glistening film across the entire surface, like it was prepping my kitchen for an ice skating competition. The dock would proudly flash green when it was done. Job complete. Floor ruined. Currently watching the xLean TR1 beta with my full attention because it claims to do everything in one swipe without turning my kitchen into a Jackson Pollock. Hopeful but cautious. Mostly cautious. Should I go for this?
I have had robot vacuums for 10 years. About 18 months ago I bought a Dreame W10 vacuum/mop as my niece had one. I love this thing. It goes under our lounge and dining chairs and we have made furniture specifically to a height it can fit under. It does a great job with just plain water (I was quite hesitant about this), the waste water is very dirty. It returns to the base to clean the mop pads, has mapping and an easy to empty waste water tank. We have a step into our bedroom but I was able to create a separate map for there and lift it in. I haven't been game let it do our tiled decks so have to vacuum and mop them manually at which time I also do the nooks and crannies inside eg. Behind doors. The retired Roboking vacuum now does our airbnb and fits under the bed so I don't have to pull that out after every guest. It would be at least 6 years old and sometimes gets stuck between the floor rug and lounge. I heard it talking one day and upon investigation I found it hanging out over the stairs saying "wheels not touching the floor" Our only incident was a mangled USB lead I left draped on the floor many years ago. One thing to look for when buying is size/height. Our first vacuum didn't fit under the dining chairs.
My oldest Dreame W10 5 years old still working same as new . some roborock user report it broken just a few day of use . Things can broke quickly in some circumstances . don't just look at one bad then say that brand is bad. We need to collect information from many source to find out the good brand . I am OK with either Roborock or Dreame Just which model is suit for your need
- Dreame robo vacuum flashed with valetudo: cheap, private and clean - Automatic blinds with HA control to automatically close/open on sunny side on hot days: always cool and no need to think about - esp-devices like wemos d1 Mini with esphome: super cheap all-round devices, generic base software with crazy variability and perfect HA integration
Currently upgraded to the Dreame mopping vacuum system robot that's operated with the phone. We love it.
The Dreame robot mop system is our favorite new roommate! We have a new and an older iRobot Roomba vacuums and recently got this one for the main floor. We're very happy with it. It's available in many different price ranges.
My dreame is modded with valetudo, it has no internet access. What security nightmare?
