"The Dreame X30 Ultra with the Tricut brush does an amazing job. ... It does a great job of picking up all the hairs without clogging."
"I grabbed the anti-tangle brush for the Dreame and have not had to clean it one in the past two months. ... Does a great job cutting the hair and putting it in the bag."
"I have 2 dogs with lots of shedding and a Dreame x30. I find that it does the job well"

"The extended mop arm functionality comes very much in handy with kitchen cabinets allowing the robot to clean underneath all the way up to the edge. ... The X30 Ultra comes with a feature where the mops can extend out to reach walls/corners, and that functionality was on display in my testing when doing my kitchen, as the extended mops were able to reach all the way to the edge of my cabinets where the Freo X Ultra couldn't reach. ... The X30 ultra was able to clean into more tight spaces with the mop-extending feature wheras the Freo was a bit limited in how it could reach those same places. ... it has two very nice features that I am really enjoying between the extended mop-arm feature ... extending the mop heads ... "Auto-Emptying of the vacuum bags after a vacuum job is quite nice, just like a Roomba would. ... it has two very nice features that I am really enjoying between the extended mop-arm feature and the auto-emptying of the vacuum bag after a job. ... The X30 Ultra has a feature that auto-empties the vacuum bag into the tower similar to a Roomba, and the one thing I'll point out is that the sound is noticeably quieter than a Roomba tower when it empties (which sounds like a jet engine almost)."
"Very quiet when mopping and vacuuming ... The tower also doesn't sound like a jet engine while emptying the bag. ... Both robots are really quiet when mopping, but the X30 Ultra is more quiet than the Freo X Ultra. ... "It ’s with Dreametech for repairs. Their customer service won ’t even tell me they got the unit even thou tracking says they had. ... At this point I have to say do not buy Dreametech as if your unit breaks down it seems repair is non exited. Dallas is repair center seems to repair nothing."
"broke down after two months ... couldn’t get it fixed on multiple attempts"
"After 4 months my X30 went crazy. It keeps asking for mop pads to be attached. I do that hit the clean button and goes back to the base and detach the mop pads does this over and over again."

"The software is a bit less polished ... Dreame software tends to just be a bit glitchier with buttons and menus. ... Honestly I really mostly experience it when starting a clean and also pausing one. ... It just takes a little bit of patience (like 2 seconds) instead of something just immediately happening on their app."

"Dreame made models do reach the advertised temperature but it is mainly only for a moment and it’ll usually be washing the mops with lukewarm to warm water"
As long as you have a 'no questions asked' decent return policy....then it's an OK model. (I think the battery may be a little less than average before it has to return to the dock.) Put it through it's paces a lot. I mean a lot! You don't want to find an intermittent problem that only becomes apparent after the return period has expired.
r/RobotVacuums • Is $350 for an eBay refurbished Dreame X30 Ultra a good deal? ->Personally would go with the X30. The Qrevo S has super basic object avoidance, and even the Roborocks with advanced avoidance can easily get stuck. Dreame tends to do really well for hard floors and has some of the best object avoidance. The software is a bit less polished but the clean tends to be better imo. Is the Mova P10 Pro Ultra available in Canada? MOVA is a Dreame subsidiary and that vacuum is basically identical to the Dreame X40 (but for $600 USD).
r/RobotVacuums • Roborock Qrevo S vs Dreame X30 Ultra ->With your concerns, definitely get the Dreame! Furniture library might be a tad bit limited, but I’ll just use something close enough that they have. Dreame definitely does best with navigating around furniture. Dreame app has lots of features in it! Definitely not limited like your Ecovacs experience The Dreame has some tech that I can’t remember off the top of my head that makes it really good with avoidance. I believe it’s infrared sensors (on top of other sensors), which my Dreame and Roborock s7 MaxV have, but not the Qrevo Master.
r/RobotVacuums • Roborock Qrevo S vs Dreame X30 Ultra ->I have 2 dogs with lots of shedding and a Dreame x30. I find that it does the job well, but the trick with any vacuum is frequency. You just gotta do it every day or the fluff piles up. And along the same lines, you’re just going to end up having to deep clean with a regular vacuum at least weekly.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair Now ->Any dreame model with a self cleaning mop tray? This would be the Dreame X/L30-40. It’s worked well at cleaning my corgi’s fur balls to the drainage area. The mop extend has worked well mopping his drool from the edges of the rooms where he likes to sleep. You can add any TriCut brush and the cover that prevents hair from going to the side to any Dreame model. It’s worked great at preventing tangles. Roborock Q Revo models are also worth looking at. Only the one with the DuoDivine brush is truly no tangle. The other brushes will have the hair and fur tangled on the sides. I recommend rotating mop models as they are better at cleaning off drool. These two brands are pretty good at obstacle avoidance and cleaning overall. There are roller mop models but Eufy’s ozone generator poses a long term risk in terms of reliability as someone reported ozone generators could degrade the rubber seals. Eureka J20 (Midea’s W20) doesn’t seem to be great at obstacle avoidance either.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Dreame vacuum with pets ->Eufy > Narwal > dreame ? Narwal has the best computer vision algorithm for its RGB camera enabled models as far as I know. It’s not perfect but it’s currently the best out of all the other options. For Eufy, I think it’s the S1 Pro with its binocular infrared camera vision that will have comparable obstacle avoidance. I do not know about other Eufy models with an RGB camera. The Eufy bump and go robots can only bump and go. For dreame, I think good cord avoidance starts from the X30 Ultra and newer.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for good cord and object avoidance ->I like how Jamie Andrews tests aspects that are advertised for quality of life (self cleaning the dock and using hot water) whereas vacuumwars simply rattles them off like a sales brief checklist. I can confirm Dreame does reach the advertised hot water temperature listed (I tested myself with an electric thermometer connected to the area on the washboard where the water would flow from the pipes) and it usually hovers at about 5-10°C below the advertised temperature before reaching it for a second or two. Don’t know about the new AceClean dock as I don’t have it but Dreame told me any misplacement of the temperature probes will result in measuring errors of more than 10°C.
r/RobotVacuums • How do we feel about Vacuum Wars ratings? ->Many robots cannot mop with warm or hot water. This is currently a new feature on upright vacuum mop combos. Currently there is only hot water mop washing on most models. The roborock Saros 10 claims to mop with hot water up to 70° and the Saros 10R claims to mop with warm water. I am skeptical of this claim as it doesn’t use a roller mop where it feasibly could live up to this claim. There is the upcoming MOVA Z50 Ultra that can mop with constant 36° water as it has a track type roller mop which makes this claim achievable. Generally, most robot vacuums also do fail when it comes to living up to the hot water mop washing claim. Dreame made models do reach the advertised temperature but it is mainly only for a moment and it’ll usually be washing the mops with lukewarm to warm water In the EU market, I’d recommend Xiaomi as the most cost effective robot vacuum mop combo brand unless you’d like the extra bells and whistles such as hot water mop washing + mop extension where it’ll be better to consider brands like dreame. Most of its combo models are compatible with the anti-tangling dreame TriCut brush. It works well in my home with a long haired corgi and people with long hair. The Xiaomi x20 pro looks rather nice. For obstacle avoidance, please tidy up your cables. Most LDS-only robots are rather stupid when it comes to reflective or transparent walls. I recommend models with good obstacle avoidance if your cat makes messes robots cannot clean and must avoid at all costs. This usually requires RGB cameras. If the best obstacle avoidance is what you’re looking for: Narwal Freo Z ultra or any of their RGB camera enabled robots. It currently seems to have the best (not perfect!) smart cleaning mode. Its strength lies in its good mopping and anti-tangling but sadly not vacuuming. Dreame RGB camera enabled models starting from the X30 Ultra and onwards. MOVA is a subbrand of dreame so RGB camera enabled robots from the P10 Pro Ultra and newer will perform similarly as it will use the same obstacle avoidance software. Dreame is a rather good all rounder combo robot with the best edge cleaning. Antitangling performance is also rather good. Eufy S1 Pro and other models that will use the “3D Matrix” binocular infrared 3D dToF sensor array. Roborock is also a good all rounder with the easiest app to use but it will not be as good avoiding obstacles such as cables and pet messes compared to other brands, especially on carpets. For self cleaning: Dreame/MOVA models with the AceClean dryboard where water jets are used to clean the mops. The x50 ultra will be best at self cleaning including cleaning its own filter when autoemptying but it is currently outside your budget. > dreame models that use the self driven wipers on the mop washboard ≈ roborock models using a mop washboard with motorized wipers ≈ NarWal’s mop washboard where they flush the washboard with water before and after washing the mops.
r/RobotVacuums • Please help me choose my first robot ever. Lost between Roborock, dreame, Eufy, Shark? ->The S9 should vacuum better than the Narwal Freo Z Ultra. NarWal’s main strength is in mopping so it seems they’ve made tradeoffs where their mopping is market leading but their vacuuming isn’t compared to other flagships. For dreame/MOVA’s obstacle avoidance, I’ll say they’ve been pretty good since the X/L30 Ultra.
r/RobotVacuums • Best High-End Robot? ->Dreame's and MOVA's robots with an extending mop will excel at cleaning edges like these since the algorithm is very aggressive compared to other brands. Any model from the X30 Ultra and newer or the P10 Pro Ultra and newer can do this.
r/RobotVacuums • Which to robot cleaner to pick ->Thanks for sharing! I hypothesize that the X50 Ultra's poor battery life is likely due to the more power-hungry computer chip it utilizes. My own experience with the L40s Pro Ultra (mainland Chinese version) had a *worse battery life* that struggled to finish cleaning my home whereas my much cheaper combo Xiaomi robot (also mainland Chinese version) that has the same battery capacity and is also made by Dreame would be able to vacuum first and then mop my small apartment and finish with 50%. Other reviewers have reported that the L40s Pro Ultra (non-mainland Chinese edition) had a bad battery life, just like me :( Hopefully, this issue will be fixed soon. I hope the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track doesn't suffer the same battery life issue, especially because it'll need a more powerful chip to process all the information coming from the HD binocular RGB cameras and the dot projector, and a power-efficient water heater in the robot to heat the water up.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy ->Vacuuming: dreame (bristle brush) and Roborock Great obstacle avoidance: Eufy s1 pro (you can consider this one too even though it uses a roller mop as it also mops well), dreame models from X30 Ultra (MOVA P10 Pro Ultra as it is a subbrand), and Narwal Freo Z Ultra These are the only ones I know that are very cord free with obstacle avoidance. Roborock is behind in obstacle avoidance. Remop and clean mop pads again if needed: same dreame/mova models as before and the Narwal Freo Z ultra For uneven tiles, I recommend you wait for the upcoming dreame X50 Ultra as their mop holders can tilt by 5° for uneven flooring. You can further enhance the mopping by using plusher mop pads like Narwal or Roborock’s. I also recommend waiting for CES 2025 to finish as new models by these brands will be announced there! Dreame will also have a new robot with a roller mop that will be even better than their subbrand MOVA’s Z5 which is currently the best mopping robot on the market which uses a crawling mop.
r/RobotVacuums • Need help selecting next robot vacuum ->1. Anything that moves can break. So I suggest buying from a retailer with a good return policy + a good protection plan. 2. For base station cleaning: Dreame (some models), eufy, Narwal, roborock, and Xiaomi have completely removable mop washboards. I’m not a fan of the wiper driven mop washboards on the Dreame X/L30 and X/L40 ultra and the MOVA P10 Ultra/Pro Ultra simply because there’s too many nook and crannies to clean. However their new aceclean dryboard on the L/V/X50 Ultra and newer is much easier to clean even when only the filter is removable since there’s no nooks and crannies for dirt to hide in and dirt only really collects under the removable filter which is easily removed with a wet wipe or a Clorox wipe. I’d avoid bagless base stations. Spinning mop combo robots are less maintenance than roller mop robots.
r/RobotVacuums • What generally goes wrong in a vacuum+mop+cleaning robot? What to watch out for? ->Ended up getting the Dreame X30. The navigation is quite impressive and seems to address the concerns I had. Mopping and vacuuming seem to be on par with the price point as well. No issues with the app and it seams to have the granularity I’m looking for. Thanks for your advice!
r/RobotVacuums • Roborock Qrevo S vs Dreame X30 Ultra ->Dreame l10S or l20 if you are trying to save money Dreame x30 if you have a little more money to spend Dreame X40/L40 if you want the best. If you only have hardfloors, the Eufy S1 pro I also like the QRevo Slim if you want something from Roborock but I am disappointed with its Object avoidance capabilities when compared to Dreame and Eufy. Roborock in general is quite trash at obstacle avoidance and it makes it hard for me to trust their vacuums to run on a schedule without having to babysit them but their hardware is solid and reliable. Skip the Eufy x10 that so many shills like. It's got a lot of features that look good but in reality they aren't very well implemented. I had two of them and Eufy partially refunded me for both of them due to my experience with them. Good customer support, but a bad vacuum design that struggles to pick up anything on hardfloors. For the same money I would get a Dreame l10S or L20 instead. I posted my full review here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/s/AVD9Ph2eHK
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum cleaner for a busy household? ->I had the dreame x30 and returned it because the obstacle avoidance was too sensitive. Maybe try the Dreame brand, it seemed to be decent at avoidance, annoyingly so lol
r/Roborock • Bought a Roborock Q Revo Pro – not the best choice with a toddler around. Looking for better obstacle avoidance! ->My house is about 3,500 sq ft with all hardwood floors, except for two bedrooms that have few rugs. There are five people, two cats, and a dog living here, so the house can get dirty rather quickly. The first robot vacuum I owned was the Dreame X30 Ultra. It was a decent enough model but broke down after two months, and I couldn’t get it fixed on multiple attempts. I replaced it with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, but it didn’t measure up to the X30. Its mopping and obstacle avoidance capabilities were subpar compared to Dreame’s, and don't even get me started on the pet hair on the roller, I decided it isn't worth the trouble and returned it within a month then resorted to manually cleaning for about 6 months. Later i found the 3i S10 Ultra and backed it on KS, it had a few hiccups initially, but the company had like 3 firmware updates within 2 weeks and resolved them. Now, it's BY FAR the best robot vacuum I’ve owned, it cleans thoroughly, hasn't gotten stuck once, and even refills its own water tank by dehumidifying and distilling air moisture. It simply gets the job done. It has been two months now, and I can’t imagine not having it, i didn't know 3i company before backing the project and only after i saw some negative comments regarding the company on their previous OEM/ODM products. But i gotta tell you, the company for sure have up their game for this 3i brand, this thing is every bit as solid as the roborock, and better than the dream, it's now $1499 on amazon, honestly i would still get it.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking to buy my first robot vacuum and I am completely overwhelmed ->I have a Dreame X30 and bought the cutting blade for it. It has a blade under the bristles so it can cut the hairs into smaller pieces. It doesn’t cut cords though. It has object detection to avoid things like toys and poop. Buy the refurbished version from the official store on EBay. There’s often a 20% off coupon. The refurbs are just new units they sell discounted so it doesn’t undercut the new ridiculous sales price. I’ve had it for about 9 months now and it’s been amazing. It vacuums and mops. It cleans its own mop pads and self empties.
r/CleaningTips • Robot vacuum VS dog hair… battle to the death 💀 ->Well I had a similar experience when I bought the X30. Sent it to them for repair, took 4 months to get it back, and it broke within 8 months. Sent to repair again, and complained about it to them that it takes a long time. I do feel like you that they take so long to reply to emails. I guess I got "lucky", in my case they sent me a free upgrade (X40), The only strange thing is that they told me to remove my negative review from Amazon to get the free upgrade.
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame is a scam ->My original X30 got a crack in the front wheel housing (after 4 months of daily use). I think it happened because I have 3 dogs and hair got caught up inside of the wheel, I wasn't aware until I noticed that it kept making a dragging noise and struggled to turn. I removed the front wheel and cleaned it, but it turns out that the hair was holding it together, so once cleaned the front wheel kept falling out due to the large crack. Dreame sent me a new X30. The issue I had with the second one was that it refused to drain and the overflow sensor stopped working, so after every session there was a huge puddle of water around the base station. It was either the pump had gone bad or there was a clog in the line inside of the base station. (Happened after 4 months of daily use)
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame is a scam ->Put some 2mm blocks under the bed so it can go under :) On a serious note, coming from dreame x30 that broke down and I'm on the market for a new one, I'm team roller mop. Can't even think of using vibrating or spinning mops now. Mova z60 for me.
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame X50 or Roborock Saros 10 (not R) ->Everything is Chinese after all and all the OEMs share resources on one level or another. I know dreame x30 was good to me but it was killed during transfer so I'm looking for a new one. So I believe no matter which company you buy it will be ok.
r/RobotVacuums • Overwhelmed by research: Need help choosing model $1000 or less ->I just got the Dreame x30 and I’m very happy with it so far. I have pets who shed a ton (and cats who track litter on the floor), tile in the bathrooms and wood floors everywhere else with large area rugs in a few rooms and it does a great job.
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum/mop combo for hardwood/tile with area rugs? ->I learned a lot by watching videos lots of videos. It really depends on what you feel is important. The vacuum wars spreadsheet in this post is helpful. Their comparison link is helpful. For value priced with good object avoidance, good app and overall good function. I don't know how these price out where you are. Dreame x40 Eufy e25 - best mopping Mova P50 - Not good if you have wide grout lines Dreame L40 - not the best object avoidance but good enough. If you need something cheaper you might research the Dreame x30. I havent really researched the lower priced models because object avoidance wasnt as good. All I know is what I learned searching for my vacuum. Look at the chart in this post to narrow things down.
r/RobotVacuums • Ok I made a spreadsheet with Vacuum Wars data ->I absolutely adore the dreame x30!
r/RobotVacuums • If my budget is only $500 for robot vacuum. What should I buy? ->I got the X30 Ultra on amazon back when it was first released, it's been great, just 2-3 times a week, change the water, and then once a month do a proper clean / wash mop pads etc.
r/Vaughan • Recommendations for a Robot Vacuum ->What went wrong with your X30? I have the same one and it's about a year old. I haven't had issues yet, but curious about what symptoms to watch out for
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame is a scam ->I've got a dreamtech which has self cleaning mops and it does pretty good. I've also got 2 kids and toys all over the floor and it barely gets stuck.
r/smarthome • Considering a robovac, is there anyone out there that truly frees you from having to clean the mop yourself? ->The Dreame robot mop system is our favorite new roommate! We have a new and an older iRobot Roomba vacuums and recently got this one for the main floor. We're very happy with it. It's available in many different price ranges.
r/homeimprovementideas • Robot vacuum for home - what is the best under $500 ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
