I have 2 dyson Vis nav’s. One works great the other stops mid run for no apparent reason. You can wash the filter and reuse it. I will say my old Dyson 360 heurist is still the best robot vacuum I’ve ever owned for carpet cleaning. I watched a review on vacuum wars and he scored it lower than the high end roombas on deep cleaning but my experience has been drastically different. It pulls more dirt out of my carpet on low power than any vacuum I’ve had including: Dyson Vis nav, Roomba s9, Roomba J7 and J9+ combo, dreame L10S ultra, Neato D10. The list goes on and on. I’ve tested and used so many I’ve lost count. I should start a review site of my own.
r/RobotVacuums • What's the best robot vacuum? ->With the recent updates, the Dyson 360 has not bumped into anything. Yes it doesn't have obstacle recognition but it does have side lasers that stop it from bumping. The navigation has also improved with the updates and now it can get from one end of my house to the other no issues. If you can find an old Electrolux pi92 that is triangle shape.
r/RobotVacuums • I just want a damn high-end vacuum with NO mop and a wide blade ->Dyson 360 or Roomba S9. They are just in a completely different league than anything else for vacuuming prowess, but do lack modern featues, such as object avoidance.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot Vacuum for carpet ->Got the Dyson 360 last month and so far loving it. We have carpet throughout the house and Dyson 360 does a great job of vacuum. Haven’t used the upright Dyson since the arrival of the 360 Vis Nav. I run it every other days. Read many negative feedbacks and stories on the Vis Nav but that seems to be related to the old firmware.
r/RobotVacuums • If money wasn’t an issue, what’s the best robot vacuum right now? ->If this is true I’d gladly buy one. I need a strong vacuum solution for my pet hair situation
r/RobotVacuums • Dog parents! What vacuum-only robot works GREAT for pet hair? ->What kind of dog do you have? We have a 62 lb Lab who seems to shed constantly. If I run the vacuum every day it’ll do the rug just fine. May leave 1-2 ropes. If I don’t run it every day, there will be more. The borders of the rug is where there are always ropes. I can run the robot twice and there will be ropes. I can run the Dyson then the robot and there will be ropes. I can pull the edges up, dyson under the rug, then Dyson the entire top of the rug and the robot runs—guess what I get along the edges? Ropes. Watching it carefully, the robot runs along the edge and there is a gap that it doesn’t have enough suction to pull a quarter ounce rope of dog hair. And when it passes by and the side brush pulls it under it’s a 50/50 chance for the robot to suck it up—on a hardwood floor or short nap rug. You can say what you want that Roomba has the best suction and if you look at Rtngs or vacuum wars they may in those particular test environments. However in real life my J8 is a fail in this use case. And if I run my 960 in the same area…no ropes. This is rug that’s about 3/8” and is light in weight. Roomba as the market leader should have a machine in their current lineup that has enough power to complete this mission. For a $500 machine to fail this is a design failure. I’d take it back to Costco but at a year, I’m not that type of person. I may buy a S9 but it’s not a great solution either as it’s no longer supported by Roomba, the J9 may or may not be suitable, the Dyson 360 would be worth a shot with its powerful vacuum but the navigation seems to still be a work in progress and for some reason, I’m hesitant to buy a roborock. I’d test them one by one but am not into tying up the capital. Roombas have been around for 23 years. For apologists to say they are still working the kinks out in the vacuum function, is a bit of a stretch at this point.
r/RobotVacuums • Dog parents! What vacuum-only robot works GREAT for pet hair? ->Of course, 100% yes as long as you're okay with no mopping and no self-emptying station.
r/dyson • New robot vacuum announced - spot + scrub AI ->I have worked on an tested a Dyson 360. It must have been a very early model. It had so many navigation problems and kept getting stuck on things that the owner ended up returning it. Hopefully these problems have been resolved by now. However, it did do an impressive job of vacuuming. Because of other issues, I was never able to use my three room carpet test on it. It may very well be an excellent candidate to replace our aging S8s with. I appreciate the insight! Thank you!
r/Roborock • When it comes to vacuuming rugs and carpets, I have not found anything that out performs the base model Roborock S8, including the Saros 10R ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
