What’s your budget range? Your place isn’t that big, so you could try looking at the deebot mini. I have one and haven’t had any major mapping issues or problems with bumping into walls in the few months I’ve used it. As for tangling, I don’t have pets and don’t deal with much shedding, so that part might not be very helpful for reference.
My deebot has been running at my place for almost 2 years now.
Lol, my wife and I are both not that into cleaning, so we got a robot vacuum after we moved. Then we just threw all the floor cleaning to our ecovacs deebot. It works on our carpets too, so it's pretty useful.
Most models nowaday do both vacuuming and mopping, so I wouldn’t really go for vacuum-only ones. If your place is small, the deebot mini could be a good option since the dock doesn’t take much space.
I haven’t seen many good reviews of irobot here, and it doesn’t seem that many people use it. I use an ecovacs deebot myself, and if you’re not in a rush, the X8 pro omni might be worth a look. I’ve had it for a few months and it’s been really reliable so far.
Small apartments really need a robovac that doesn’t get in the way. I just stash my deebot mini in a corner, and barely notice it. I don’t need too many features for a tiny place, but it still does pretty much everything I want. I also heard they’re gonna come out with a mini2 soon.
I bought it for my mum a few months ago. Vaccuming is great, mopping not so much. Biggest problem with the size is that dustbin gets full quickly and goes to the station to auto empty too many times. Plus, it needs to go to refill the water again and again. We bought it because mum lives in a 2-storey house and needed something that can be picked up quickly and moved easily. But it is hardly able to finish half the house upstairs before it needs to return to the station to empty the bin. The station is downstairs so it becomes a cunbersome task. If you truly have a small space, then it is good. But if not, you're better off with a bigger robot.
Yeah its a good model if you have a carpet area under 1200 sq.ft , for pets i had labrador it did pick up hair of it. As of now its been working good
Yes they don't seem great about getting the word out, I agree totally with you there. Also wish they offered a wider selection of models, including models without the self empty station for people in very small spaces with relatively little dirt to pick up as you'vesaid, and compact models which still have more advanced mopping abilities and docks like the ecovacs deebot mini.
