Reliable, great mopping (lifts pads), but poor cable avoidance.

Have an old Ecovacs Deebot Neo that vacuums and only mops by dragging a pad around. Does the job with vacuuming and the navigation is good. Wanted to upgrade to something that mopped better with either spinning or rolling mops, so we decided a Dreame L40 Ultra from Prime Day sales. It was recommended by so many people so we thought we'll try it. Biggest letdown! The thing can't travel in a straight line and never followed the walls around the perimeter and furniture. It was moving in an arching curving pattern. Heard several others with Dreame having the same or similar issues with navigation. Returned it and now waiting on delivery of an Ecovacs T50 Max Pro. I'll stick with my tried and true experiences with two previous Ecovacs I've owned.
I dont think the L40AE can handle that, but there are plenty of robots with threshold climbing abilities that can The Qrevo Curv, Mova V50 are proabbly the cheapest that can climb that. Id do with the V50 personally
I'd go T90 out of this bunch, with the understanding that Ecovacs can be kind a poor user experience but once you get it set up its really good vacuum. If you want a more seamless user experience and better app, Id pick a dreame. Aqua 10 is the better mopper, but if you have pets I would get the X50.
I picked up an Ecovacs Deebot Neo 2 Plus from my local Aldi special for AU$379, which I think is the most I'd pay for a robot vacuum as I need only good vacuum performance on hard floor, and ok performance on carpet. The unit certainly does that and the auto emptying station works well with no dust left inside the robot's bin. Navigation works well and certainly better than my old Neato! Looking at various online comparisons, most mopping robots have clear drawbacks and performance issues, and costly.
that's great - we have a dishwasher but hadn't thought about the advantage of 2 drawers. will file that for when I need a replacement!
ours is just an ecovac from aldi - bought it a few yrs ago though so there would be much better models now. I like the idea of the ones that self empty - next time I need a replacement!
4 in my house. Mostly hardwoods on the 1st floor and the roller mop on the ecovac T80 Omni does a great job. Living room is a step down so that has another Ecovacs auto empty, same for 2nd floor, and basement. Pretty much they all run on schedule but once in a while one gets stuck.
We got a Eufy vacuum only a few years ago and after having to sweep everyday due to having 2 dogs and a cat, it was this amazing luxury I couldn't even imagine. It ran really well for a long time. Then it did need to be replaced. We got the same model but this one had some issues rather soon. The remote stopped working which was a little important since i had a non mapping model. I still ran it but it would push dining room chairs around, get stuck on the base of our fan and cat scratcher. During Prime we splurged on a Ecovac Deebot that mops. Wow it is such an upgrade from what we 1st started with. We are really happy with its performance, my floors have never been so nicely maintained. Totally worth it.
